[Q] netflix app force closes on honeycomb - Nook Color Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Using honeycomb v4 on my nook and even after changing the build.prop file the app force closes on open. I'm loving hc but no netflix could be a deal breaker, any tips?

No hardware acceleration wouldn't allow it to play anyways... sorry

You won't see support for hulu anytime soon. It's hulu who is blocking mobile devices, they want you to get the paid app. It's for copyright reason, they said.
But you can get the "hacked" version for hulu, look at the theme and app section.
P.S : you know you can edit your first post instead of writing a new one

Xoom browser

I've been a Xoom user sine February of this year. I love my xoom but for some reason my browser sucks it lags in certain pages like n4g.com or even ESPN.com I'm not sure why I have cleared the cache on it and its still does it. Does anyone have this problem?

Try typing comments or status-updates on Facebook.com with the XOOM default browser. It's an absolute nightmare.
that site opens and runs fine on my xoom. I'm rooted running odachi kernal but I keep CPU speed @ 1000. Still waiting till they port the full version of chrome with extensions for android. Til then it's sort of a second rate os but androids potential far surpasses windows IMO.
I love the stock browser.I make sure the Plugins are set on on demand so that it will not run automatically.it may cause lag.i just experience a slight delay on typing on facebook.

i hate the stock browser on teh xoom. its slow and flash is terrible. i've converted over to dolphin hd and its so much faster.
I agree that some of the other browsers are faster and render pages better than pos honeycomb browser but I am addicted to the quick controls. Every time I use another browser I find myself reaching for quick controls and when I don't find them I go back to stock browser.

Some apps not in Tablet UI?

Some apps will display in a tablet interface such as Netflix and IMDB, but apps like Box won't. Why is this? How do I fix this?

You can try to modify your build.prop to get all apps to display with a tablet interface.

what rom are you using cm7 roms the dpi or screen resolution is set like a blown up phone so some apps are the phone apps instead of the tablet style ui.. you can use lcd resolution is a good app to play with apps that dont look right
I'm using the CM9 Energy rom.

Tabs Running ICS and can't play games or they crash

Figured out this solution when I wanted to play Mass Effect Infiltrator on my Tab. It has addressed my other issue with more recent games installing fine then crashing when playing.
Solution: Adjust screen density to 180 or above. 180 seems to be a safe number and has little to no distortion to the UI. -Cheers
I am currently using cm9, and only ever have issues with mass effect when I am not connected to the internet. Other than that, I personally haven't had any problems with the game.
