Once again... you are a hero to the forum....
Thank You

Can we flash this using hboot?
Meaning Volume down key, power button?

Could just restoring a backup from CWM and reflashing the old radio via hboot work? Or does hboot not allow radio downgrades?

I will once I get home. Just wanted to make sure there was a way to get CM7 back easily if I don't like GB Sense.

if I am not mistaken.. if the radio file is an older image.. hboot will say so and not update.

Then how am I able to flash the original release radio after trying the MR1 radio?

I restored a backup and flashed the 605.6 radio and everything seems to be working just fine.

[Q] Effect of new stock ROM?

I have rooted my locked and branded Wildfire and am about to install the following stock ROM from shipped-ROMS:
RUU_Buzz_HTC_WWE_1.37.405.1_Radio_13.53.55.24H_3.35.19.25_release_151892_signed.exe
Before I proceed I wanted to be clear on the outcome of this install.
If I install this ROM will I lose root and, if so, should I be able to re-root it with Unrevoked?
When froyo comes out will I get the over the air update from HTC or will I still have to wait for the update from my provider? (or will I have to install upgrades by some other means from now on?)
Prior to installing the ROM I will note down the settings in Wireless & networks->Mobile Networks->Access Point Names. Is this all I need to get the phone and internet connectivity operational again after the upgrade?
What does the "signed" on the end of the name of the ROM mean?
Bump.......

As long as you stick to that ROM which seems to be the "original", you will get updates from HTC.

hey lemming, i sent you a pm yesterday lol
Thanks guys for your input.
To install an .exe RUU (as opposed to a zipped one) do I need to have the HTC app installed on Windows (or install special USB drivers) or do I simply plug in the phone and run the .exe ?.

Still don't have 4.1.83?!?!

I never got the 4.1.83 update? Was it pulled? I'm stuck on 4.1.57 and whenever I check for an update I get the "your phone is up to date" message. Anyone else with this issue? I'm running 100% stock and bought it on launch day...

Just flash the 1.83 sbf then.
Get GB 3.5. Kenneth used the 1.83 update on it..install CWM and flash it and you'll have it then.

Gingerblur v.35 is built around the 1.83 as far as the framework and such. It does not however actually update your phone to 1.83. The main update for 1.83 was the radio and allowing HSUPA, which gingerblur does not affect in any way, shape or form. Gingerblur is more or less just a theme... ok, ok, it's a pseudo rom = theme w/ mods & hacks included (not a custom ROM).
i live outside usa and when i connected to wifi i got the update
Your imei has either been blacklisted (for doing something illegal) or they haven't added your imei to their database yet, calll em up and see what's going on

Just a heads up that there is no problem receiving the OTA I accepted it today because I needed a replacement anyway it works flawlessly. I turned s on and ruu'd prior to installing.

So if you use revolutionary to root 4.53, wouldn't your new bootloader be 6.16?
So, I should be able to download the OTA, don't install it and copy the image file to my PC in case I have to unroot?

thank you, i was just going to use it to update my radio. does this new one work better then the old?
Pardon the interruption, but are you all talking about something that assists in better reception? If not, ignore the dumb question.

I am on the whole UD not the old + the new radio. Back up and try it. It is here just for old roms to get better reception OR crash.

I unlocked my bootloader. Installed TWRP. Backed up root with Voodoo. Forgot to unfreeze bloatware. Took the recent OTA and had partial success as I was upgraded except for the new radio. I installed .78p from the above link and it works fine.

Exactly what baseband is this? I don't see a name anywhere. Have there been any improvements compared to the latest one?

The modem version is in the name ...78p. The newest.
Will this work with say...CM10.1 Leak installed?
[Edit]
Just did it anyways and it does in fact work. Verified in setting and I'm running baseband version: SM_BP_101032.020.32.78P
Thanks for this!

Does anyone know if this baseband helps Bluetooth at all, or would I need the whole upgrade for that? The release info-graphic Motorola put out says the update improves Bluetooth connectivity, so I am just curious. My Voyager Legend disconnects mid call when wifi is on sometimes.
Thanks!
well i kept putting off installing the new radio as i knew it was going to re-lock it and i would have to do the sim unlock again(not hard do to i just didn't want to swap hard drives). with that being said i installed this Friday night and to my surprise it didn't re-lock the radio. i was shocked as it should have re-locked it but did not so i would say if u are using the sim unlock and want the new radio this is prob the better way to get it over the ota. wifi seems to be performing a little better it only dropped the signal once in my bedroom last night instead of every 5 min like it was doing(yes i know its the phone every other device i have tested doesn't do it). cell signal seems to be about the same, but i am using a net10 att sim so the signal may be better on vzw's towers. i have not tested bluetooth yet as i only have one thing that uses it and that is my moga controller. i am on the 7-30 build of aokp if you wanted to know that.
