But the thing is you cannot buy another One once it breaks. I would rather carry my Nexus 5 out than the unattainable Oneplus
My friend dropped mine on hard rocky concrete pattern just a day after I got the phone, it fell face down but surprisingly it didn't shatter, the top left edge of the screen has a chip and the bottom part got shipped exactly like in the video same f%^ing spot.
I'd say that OPO is pretty well built, the only other phone that fell on concrete and didn't break was Xperia Z2 and that thing is a tank.

No but it is easy to repair. You can also order the screen for cheap. Head over to the One plus forum to find the thread.
I actually dropped this thing lol. Charging cord is so short, and so "stuck" to the phone, that I went to check it when it was charging, and it got yanked back out of my hands, and hit the edge of the bed frame, and made a tiny dent in the chrome bezel.

Unfortunately yes, he got pounded but managed to survive. I also forgot to mention he was drunk.
PS: He is in New York now. I'm seriously regretting not to have finished the job. Let me know I'll PM his address, if you could do me the favour. :silly:
Actually, you don't need to drop it. Just holding it is fine.
drop test? ... too much money? ^^
I wonder how people can afford drop tests... I mean, it's like throwing money in the bin, right? Do you have some kind of insurance, or do you to try to get the money back with YouTube advertisements? I don't get it...

One minor drop and the back has a small Crack... So fragile!

I have had many many phones and never one had one Crack... Until now. The drop was not so bad at all. Be careful all!
Ive never owned a case in 8 years of smartphones. The first time i held this i said im buying a case for this. I also did watch reviews of drop tests and yes this thing is super fragile
Every time I see someone say it's cracked, broken, and/or fragile, I can't help but think about all the the people demanding a more "premium feel".

I feel ya! I to, watched the drop test! I got my Note5 on release day, went 1 day without a case. Kung Fu grip for the 24hrs without it. Bought a case, and man! the stress is gone. I really like to go without, but as you and I know, this phone looks so damn good but just one drop and..................need I say!

I will get a pic for you guys. It's on the back.
It was not in a case.
Put a bumper on it if you're clumsy.
I am not clumsy. I said I have owned many phones and none cracked. This drop was not that big of a drop and it still cracked. Pic to follow
The Crack is in the lower right. So freaking fragile!

That is indeed unfortunate. I hope you are careful in the future.
It does suck but again this has never happened to me before. The drop was so minor. Be careful! 1 completely minor hiccup leads to this
Whats the point of a premium look and feel if I have to wrap it in an otterbox?!
Its like paying for a 10 000 dollar hooker, and then needing a rubber.
This makes me hate the iPhone even more. When the iPhone was in its "premium glass" I don't think I saw one in public that wasn't cracked
Hopefully from now on Samsung will move to a metal back. One glass screen is enough to **** up with. (Currently have the Note 5)

Thank you for the warning

I dropped it. It broke. Don't drop it.
More specifically, I dropped it on a rock on the corner with a flip cover on and the corner compressed and cracked the screen. It's not very study.

Isn't that obvious that would happen
Did a accidental drop(Not test) from a short height for my Moto X Play...it was fatal.( Now the phone looks like it has been run over by a truck. Front cam and partial touch is lost.

Why? Seriously.... Why would anyone care? It proves very little. Even a tiny fall, in the wrong instance, at the wrong angle on the wrong surface could break it. While a bigger fall, at the right angle and surface etc may not break it.
Same applies to basically all phones.
The solution is, don't be clumsy.

I also dropped my phone from 4 ft height... top right corner slightly cracked(very minor) but not so visible( without any case)... I think that is my luck.....
Don't drop! They are not designed to take aesthetic beating after a drop!, internal components might still work Ok

Time to invest in a wrist strap.
Seriously? Who would want to drop it unless u drop it unknowingly!!

Well I don't know, I'm not the one doing the thanking. It was a dumb post anyway.
About a month after I bought it I dropped it from pocket height and the screen shattered completely. Should have gone for the Droid Turbo 2 ..
After two weeks I dropped mine for the first time. The screen landed on some gravel and shattered, and it turns out that it is a major pain in the ass to get it fixed.
So don't drop it.

Their is no drop test but their is a water test at youtube
I recommend You buy a case because I'm pretty sure it will break from a chest hight drop due to the cheap plastic frame.
Cracks for nothing

I can tell you that this phone cracks with a lot less than a drop from chest height:
I was lying on a smooth concrete floor, phone in my pocket It slid out onto its face. Wasn't even a drop, and guess what!
Screen cracked right across.
I expected a scratch perhaps, but no this.
They market this as a kinda action phone, and judging by my own and others' experience, this is a poorly made device.
My advice to anyone who has a whole phone: Buy the strongest case you can find.
I'm really not impressed.
dudes..first rule: Buy a soft tpu transparent case with screen glass protector from ebay for 3,5 euros.Thats it.

2nd day. Cracked. gonna cry

Case comes in Saturday....slipped off my lap getting out of car and this happened.
OMG. T.T I'm sooooo sorry. Yeah, this is the exact reason I bought cases before getting my phone. I can relate to having to wait to get a case, as that's what happened with both my S3 and S6. Was paranoid AF that I'd drop the phone and damage it.
Got lucky that nothing happened before I got the cases, though in the case of my S6, the guy I bought it from included one, which he didn't mention that he'd include one, so that was a nice surprise when I got the phone. But, since then, I definitely made sure I was prepared so I'd have something Day 1 of getting my S8+.
Is there anything you can do about it or... do you just have to live with a broken back?
Thanks. I'm going to switch out the back glass this weekend hopefully. Can't do anything about the scuffs on the plastic, but better than nothing
True, true. Until then, just be careful that you don't cut yourself on the glass. Just curious, how high was the drop? Crazy that it cracked so easily. Then again... it IS glass...
Literally 2.5 feet. Im kinda dissapointed:/
I already have two cases and a screen protector, i pick up my phone tomorrow.
Sorry this happened to you
it was my own carelessness not paying attention and lack of getting a case in time... altho i honestly didnt think id recieve the phone on the 19th either.
That's why I was using my s5 outdoor till I get my spigen case :crying: I'm sorry for your loss :crying:

how can one be this careless , ouch
Omg I want to cry for you, I know how this happened when I dropped my note 5 a few weeks after getting it! The phone doesn't feel the same after

... That's not even waist height. :/ Expected a corner dent or whatnot on the metal frame, buttttt... didn't think the glass would break at such a low height.

No need to pour salt in the wound with insults.
You put the phone on your lap in your car? You kind of deserve it. It's an expensive phone, you should have been way more careful with it, especially without a case.

I've done this multiple times. It's not hard.
I had a few slips yesterday so have ordered a case that was delivered this morning!
I was going to leave it a few weeks but came to close to amazing it. I even left it I'm the house where I went out to do some . Even errands.
Running
Rule nunber 1. NEVER EVER EVER put a phone on your lap when in a car.
Im sorry that happen to your phone that sucks.
My wife drop her note 7 (second recall device) 10mins after walking out the store. Only crack the bad. I did a claim for it paid the $175 got a new one the next day and then 3 days later oh note 7 recalled again.
But me myself i like to have cases and screen protectors day one

U11 falen from 50 cm Front Glas cracked :(

Hello,
Yesterday my U11 is falen from 50 cm on the wood flor. Its falen straight on the left top corner and cracked the front glass!
The U 11 was in the standart HTC Cover.
I think the round Display frame is very very very sensible
Havend had tis in 6 years of HTC Phones HTC One, One X, One M7 and One M9.
All the phones are alive today with no big damage!
But U11 breaks new record 8 Days old and Screan cracked!
So be careful with your U111!!!!!
If you got it from HTC, they have the ohh ohh warranty.

No they don't. Not for the U11.
And this is why I don't like the current trend with the bezel-less and curved screens. Easier to break.
Oeps.... That's sorry to hear...
I think a good case will help.
A customer of mine has a S8. I said be careful with dropping.
He said why careful??.. And dropped his S8 from waist height on the ground. Damn...
pictures or it didnt happen
not that im saying youre not tellin the truth but lets see the damage. on the same subject i havent seen a drop test yet on youtube.

What is so unusual about braking a phone? Its not titanium!

Ouch! I guess that's kinda the standard price since it's repaired by the manufacturer itself.
Btw, what cause your phone to crack near the earpiece anyway?
Nothing surprise. My friend cracked his Huawei p9 screen dropping from toilet height, with a slim silicon case attached. Smart phones are very fragile especially when the shell is all glasses.
This is why I don't use any new phone as a daily runner, until I get a thick protection case, and a thick screen protector.

ouch man that sucks when u get it fixed get a good thick case like the incipio dual pro and a glass screen protector. I always roll like that.
Hit the corner, every curved glass would die. Sorry for you though.
It is not a tank like the 10, but we shouldnt drop our phones.
