I think you just put sipgate.com for the server.

Does anyone know an application to connect to BES (like BB connect) for the HTC desire?

Hi, thanks for the quick reply, however the link you gave refers to Blackberry Messenger. I'm looking for the e-mail program (connect to my Blackberry Enterprise Server), available today for HTC phones running WindowsMobile, the name is: Blackberry Connect. Wondering if this is available for Android2.1.
can someone help?
why bother with blackberry connect? just connect directly to your exchange server.

we talk about a big company, where the IT policy allows only blackberry connections....
I was using BB Connect until yesterday when I switched from WinMo to Android on my new Desire. What a fantastic phone it is!
Today, there is not a BB Connect for Android.
I got around this by having our IT Admin folks enable my profile on our webmail system to have it push to my Desire. Works perfectly.
If your company allows you to use Webmail e.g. in your browser you enter webmail.<your coy name>.com then you can probably get your mail ok.
Hope this helps - good luck.

can you elaborate on the settings. I can access my work email via owa so how do I get them pushed to phone. I don't want to use the seven application.

Here are the settings for the mail client on your phone:
Email address: <your email address at your company>
Server Address: for my coy it is "webmail.<coy name>.com
Domain: <coy name.com>
Username: <the name you use when logging in to your webmail server>
Password: <the same password you use for webmail>
You also need to get this "enabled" on the email server side. I don't know how it's done but my folks did it very quickly. Probably just a check box or something similar.
If you can already access your email via webmail (OWA) then the setting is already enabled or rather there is nothing left to do. In the mail app set up an exchange activesync account with username, password, and the owa address and the software will do the rest. If you want push email and proper gal browsing then you need to look at apps such as touchdown, Moxier mail, or k9. Currently trialling touchdown which is working like a treat thus far...

thanks works a treat. I was not aware that you could do that with owa.

Yeah - so easy when you think about it. At my workplace people were saying it was impossible to get work email on the phones unless you had a Blackberry. Considering we didn't have a BES and only Exchange that didn't make sense to me.
After mucking around with ISA server etc. I realised what the BB users were doing - a classic 'D'OH!!!' moment. After that it was plain sailing...
Hi all, i have a GE account email and i would like to sync it with my phone. I kept getting the "unable to connect" message when i tried with the "email" app. Does anyone knows of any app that could allow this to happen? I ask the IT guy at work and he told me that usually Blackberry has an app to allow this to happen.
Thanks in advance
yes, go to apps -- choose the Email icon. Then it will ask you to setup new email account, after you put email address and password, click on manually manage to provide info such as pop3, exchange, etc. You will have to do it sitting to ur IT guys so you can ask him how to fill out the settings.
Are you able to use Outlook web access at your job?. If so, try that address as your mail server in the email app. Also, make sure you put your login domain in with your user name, like mydomain\myuser

Make sure you check the box to accept all certs as well. If your company uses a self signed SSL cert, you wont be able to connect otherwise.

Hey yaar...
I am having the samr problm. I think this is cose yahoo allows linking accounts with a mail client only if u are using pro version of ymail. I'm not sure but I think this should be the reason. Waise you can try the ymail app in android market instead of this....

I've been trying to setup my work email with the native email application.
We have an IMAP setup; all my incoming server settings are correct, but the app returns "username or password is incorrect." Everything is functioning normally on our server and I am able to login to my email from my Galaxy Nexus, Linux environment, Windows environment, in our office, and via VPN outside it. Any ideas?
Just a guess, but have you double checked security option?
I have 4 IMAP accounts on 3 different servers working no problems.

Hi,
I seem not to be able to send mails from my transformer via my exchange server. This worked in some point in time, but somehow that stopped. Sending mails from my HTC sensation works without problems.
Also this only seems to be a problem, when I'm not connected to the exchange on the lan, but I'm accessing that from the internet.
Has anyone similar problems - or maybe even a solution?

Try accessing your exchange server via webmail, so it'll be webmail.yourcompany.com and use your password. Webmail is the key....
well - you mean Outlook Web Access? To me that's not a real alternative, since you have to be online to use OWA. What good is a mail-app if I have to use my browser ...
