Media Hub?
And what about the Media Hub? It has - among other features - real equaliser for bass boost and treble.
Would anybody so kind to extract it from one of the new HTC devices' ROM?
As far as I know HTC Love and Athena have it in-built.
Thanks in advance!
cheers
Oh, I forgot a question:
What is AudioManager for? Would someone explain what that program does?
thanks

Please someone extract the media hub from the artemis roms (pdamobiz and others froms)
For ctibor: audiomanager gives you an ipod-like interface for the songs. This mean an interface where you can have yours songs by artist,album,....and a little and very simple player which permits to play the sound chosen.
AudioManager
This is not working at all on my P3300. It does not install properly and just sticks itself into the Windows folder on the device, despite telling it to install on the SD card! Looking at the XML, it does not look like a "proper" install package and there are no reg entries. When you start the program, all you get is a RC Load Failed message and a blank error box!
Lets hope that HTC include a "full" version of Media Hub on the WM6 upgrade ...

It is strange that you are the second person who say that.
We aren't looking for the audiomanager.
We want htc media hub (which audiobooster)
WE DON'T WANT AUDIOMANAGER BECAUSE IT WAS ALREADY POST ON THE FORUM
Ok.On the archive i attach Audio Manager version 1.2 and a code page language.Once installed the program it needs to rename the file Windows\AudioManager.exe.0409.mui with the code appropriate of the rom lang.
Ex:My rom is ITA-->AudioManager.exe.0410.mui
Simple..

in that cab they miss some components that don't make work this program.
I made a very simple porting kitchen, it plugs right into Bepe's extended kitchen. It basically ports new SYS folders and XIP's into Herald/Atlas ROMs. Here.
My question is: Is it worth expanding this to every single device on the forum? It'd be very simple to do...
EDIT: Any porting cooks that wish to fix any mistakes I have made in the porting process, by all means, PM me.
I can help you for Prophet user's and cookers
Anything I can do let me know.
Do it!!! I can help for Prophet (sortof) although I clicked the wrong box

OK, everyone. Just post a ZIP file with the following (and tell me what the phone you have, of course)
From your SYS folder:
the .VM folder
the WinCENLS_WWE folder
From your SYS/Shell folder
shell32.exe folder (it's a module.)
shellres.dll folder (it's a module.)
Poke. I need these files for all devices. So far, I only have the Herald's and the Wizard's.
Here the HTC Prophet files.
All in the files but "WINCE_WWE" folder is here "14335b48-529a-ff26-f903-321295f3874e" but same files in

Are these Elfin only? Or are they Elf compatible as well? (I'm not sure how much is shared between them.)
I also need the .VM folder in the SYS directory. You missed that one.
Here you go. Also sent you a PM with the file on my Mirror site.
Here's the Atom Exec hope it can be added

hi folks, hope someone han help with this.
i'm trying to cook in the latest version of swype (cabbed by lord yuz. from a 'certain' site)
i've converted the cab to an ext but even though it builds it's not opening the keyboard. i can't see what i'm doing wrong but if anyone has a working package or any ideas what i'm missing i'd be grateful
thanks
Chris
You need to replace 'ModelName.txt' in Operatorpkg with a T-Mob modelname.

thanks for the advice mate, i'll give it a go
If you are using ervius kitchen, and you created the EXT from the CAB,
normally on your app.dat file you will have only "Directory("\Windows\Swype...")"; try to exchange all of them with the equivalent like "Directory("\Program Files\Swype...")" the problem is that you will have a duplicate of all your file (each in windows directory and also in program files\swype directory).
To make it your default SIP use this reg key in your app.reg.
[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\ControlPanel\Sip]
"DefaultIm"="{7D51A54F-14D0-4eda-AC8D-0AE175C344E8}"
I hope it will help you.

cheers mate, i've tried the modelname and no joy the ext i'm using is writing to the windows directory, i've edited all the paths but no joy on it working. also it's not duplicating the files.
i've cooked in nuesipdefault so swype is selectable. gives the option to choose.
any other ideas from anyone as i'm really stuck with this
maybe you will need also this on your app.reg
[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Swype]
"DataDir"="My Documents"
"FirstTime"=dword:1
"InstallDir"="\\Program Files\\Swype"
Swype is one of those apps that cant be set only in windows... sorry bud but it seems that some paths are hardcoded inside the exe file not just in regs, i tried sometimes and cant make it works just in windows\

after trying all the different cabs and ext packages of swype that I could find,
none of them worked when cooked, so I decided to play around with the files from
3 different downloads. I finally managed to create a package that works with
osKitchen for the HD2 - Leo. just extract to your EXT Packages folder.

yeah, its a combination of the Fixed.Blackbird cab and the EXT package with NL patch that can be found on the forums. it works perfectly on my HD2 when cooked using oskitchen.
How to use
Drag and drop the initflashfiles.dat file over the tool executable and two files named "initflashfiles_decoded.dat" (identical file with the hexadecimal values removed) and "initflashfiles_compact.dat" (file with only the decoded entries and no comments or empty lines) will be created.
Note
The tool will write only valid lines in the compact file so if you find any line is missing please make sure it's a valid line before reporting the issue.
Changelog
(27/08/2010) v1.01: Now the tool saves the in-line comments as well
(25/08/2010) v1.00: Initial release
wow ! very nice tool !! thanks

Many OEMs put in the initflashfiles files hexadecimal values instead of characters for localization purposes, making very hard for cooks to understand what the entries are about; this tool takes all those hexadecimal values and decodes them to text.
mmm Ok, so,this tool is in order to decode the one initflashfiles.Dat ?
Nice job!
Thanks for sharing.

Well, as the tool name says, yes.
This may also be a stupid question but with your kitchen it creates app.dat files in many of the Ext packages. Which I assume is added to the iniflashfiles.txt file? So what is the best practice run it on the iniflashfiles.txt and all of the app.dat files individually?
Thanks for clarification
