TouchFlo 3D - English

Hello,
Could someone please steer me in the right direction?
I keep getting IDS_TOMORROW: and the like displayed on my home screen. I am aware that this is due to the language file(s). Could somebody please tell me which manila file in the Windows\ directory i need to edit?

I suppose you have installed the weekday.cab. You gotta install the attached file to get rid of your problem. It worked well on my German HD.

You sure did a soft reset? Cause the cab doesn't ask for it. My app only worked after a reset. But it is possible that the manila.cab only works on german systems. In this case I'm awfully sorry.

I looked this file up in the windows directory. It is a german language file for manila. Thanks anyway. I am looking for the file responsible for english translation for calendar tab in manila. Thanks, anyway

It work cooked in with no problem. I just want to install this new version which seems to really work good on our Leo by cab. If it works then I will try to remove the Tutorial WMV file included which is 9mb.

This cab is from the Blackbird : "http://rapidshare.com/files/349533472/Swype-HTCBlackBird-3.9.10.10.5032.zip" i'ts almost the same as yours.

Thanks I will have a look at it.
Ok it looks like the main difference is the use of the setup.dll and the path of the swype.dll is windows. I'm going to give it a try and if all is working I will post my cab here.

what problem are you having with it?

Just would not open when you select it from the menu. It looks from this other cab the dll is placed in windows. I'm going to try this.

Ok I have got it working now. The dll file has to be in Windows directory to work. I'm uploading my complete Full version extracted from the 2.07 ROM now and will post it on the first post. I will also make a version without all the the tutorials to save space and upload it too. But the tutorials are good in the beginning to learn how to swype.

hm there is no other language available if you look into the options
there is also a message that it is not made working on my device (hd2) and will only works with limited functionality (that means it is not possible) to write words

I think it is this way when built in the ROM. I read somewhere that swype was going to add some support for other languages so it might not be implemented yet.
EDIT: The languages are working. just go into the input options for swype or press and hold the top left button to bring up a language menu. The actual keyboard layout doesn't change but the recognition does. Try it.

but there are already ROMs from Duty and others which have other languages and dictionaries available...
if I'm downloading this ROM you'll be able to extract it from there?

the same here... and furthermore we need the international version (multilanguage support)

i tried your cab. i'm not able to write anything and cant switch language

I think this is normal, bcz the swype function was not working in the 2.07 stock rom too

[QUESTION] automatic reboot at first boot

Hi
My ROM has some tweaks and extras that needs a soft reset after initialization wth 1st boot. How can I make a automatic reboot just the 1st time the phone boots up?

If you're using RunCC, edit your *.rgu/app.reg accordingly:

hehe... just using a dump of official rhodium S2, and spiced it up a bit, and deleted things I don't need

Take a look into EXT -> Rhodium -> Your Build -> Rhodium_External_Packages and search for "RunCC"!

2 - xda_uc also offers a reboot after customization - you could add this to your ext
3 - old method: autorun + checkautorun pkg also reboots your rom (dump blackstone or kovsky)

Problem With add2config Packages?
Hey, I had this problem before where all my packages that I cook in with the add2config method (so they can be removed by the user) aren't installing / aren't being set as default...
These are the following packages that I have the problem with:
BG4All Tabs (add2config) - Doesn't appear in the rom at all
A 6.5.5 Theme (add2config) - Isn't default but is in the list of themes
A 6.5.5 Taskbar (add2config) - Doesn't appear in the rom at all
All this was solved when I changed the runcc rgu file: e110406e-9af4-4cdc-932d-255ac9636f4d like everyone says to "ResetDevice"=dword:00000001
But since rebuilding my kitchen im having the same problem, Ive changed the reset device to 00000001 but still none of the add2config packages are working has anyone got any solutions?

I'm not sure anyone will be able to answer that without being totally lucky if you don't post your packages or build-log or at least the add2config text files. Anway, maybe you already do this, but if you don't, then start doing this: after cooking, look in the dump and make sure everything is there. Also, look at config.txt to make sure all the add2config's were compiled properly. This will save you the flash-disappointment.

The add2config.txt file is in the wrong folder; it needs to go in the \files sub-folder of the EXT. Put it in there, and you're problems should go away.
Edit: although, I'm seeing this in the build-log:

So, I guess I don't really understand why the .cab isn't installing. I've never used runcc before, so I can't help you on what may be going on with it. I guess it's ok to put the add2config in the main folder, since it looks like it's compiling correctly.
2nd Edit: all the cab is doing is adding a couple of manila files; you should just dump the two files and put them in an EXT and have them over-write the stock manila files. You don't need to run this as a cab, as far as I can tell.
You need to fix this (minor, but might as well do it):

Yeah that cab may be so, but that was an old one just as an example, I really need to get it working for this mortscript thing we discussed on the other thread..
Maybe we could discuss more tomorrow ? Perhaps you could have a nosey in my kitchen or something, I know I should work this stuff out myself, but as a chef still in training, its quite difficult to know what to look for, and help from peopel like you is priceless

[SOLVED]Converting cookie 1.8 home tab cab 2 packages

Hello to all
I did not able to converting cookie home tab 1.8 cab to packages for cooking with m'y rom when i use packages creator it gives a error and its quit ...before i change thé cab to packages and i add m'y own settings in reg and i cook with...but this version not able to convert...is it possible to get a external packages of nouveau cookie 1.8....

also, you will need to add the below reg entry in CHT Editor app.reg so that the chteditor option from menu to work:

That is strange, because I cooked them just as is and CHTEditor works fine from the Sense menu. I will add that reg though just to be safe in future builds. Thanks for the heads up!
PS: I re-uped the zip file with the correct registry entry

I too have issues with converting. I had converted GTX 1.71 with the convertor in OSKitchen but it didn't work as well. I hope jmart518 or tidus18 can share notes on which convertor to use and how to do it.

Maybe you can try evalu8t0r's Cab2oem:

After the oem is created you can convert it to EXT with Ondraster's EXT rebuilder if the packages are same as Ervius kitchen format:

If you are using the OsKitchen 1.29, you have the option to convert Cabs to Ext, that's the way I've done to Cookie Home Tab and ChtEditor 1.8.0, works perfect

I like to cab2oem and then create the EXT package using EXT packages rebuilder. Every once in a while cab2oem will not work correctly with certain cabs, in this case I use package-creator as a backup.

I have cooked With thé external packages but i did not able to launch cht editor it gives a error like "An unexpected error has occured"....

I actually just built a new ROM (had to update a few packages) and used the exact same files that I posted and it is working for me. Make sure nothing else is overwriting anything, maybe setup the CHT packages to cook last and try that

Thanks when i cook cht hometab and cht editor as a cab cht editor works well .....But when i cook cht home tab and editor as external packages cht editor gives a error "an unexpected error has occured "....is it a normal problem or???

No, definitely not normal. I'm not sure why it is giving you problems, I haven't had any problems with it.

Yes now i find what provoque this problem when i cook with external packages with modify it works but when i put my personnel regedit settings it gives the error.....

[Help] Menu don't open on Manila Tab Music

Hello my friends,
I use the latest HTC Sense v 2.5.20212114.0 and i have a little problem on the Music tab !
I can see the library softkey, and the Menu softkey.
The library menu can be opened whitout problem, but, if i click on the menu softkay, nothing happens.
Anyone have an idea or an issue for this ?

Have you made sure that your xml is getting placed in the appropriate folder during build?

Sadly, my XML files are in the appropriate folder.

I think the problem comes from an other package

If I replace the two XML file from your package by the 2 XML files for my localization, the menu is ok, but....i have only the IDS_***** always...
So i cannot use the latest manila music package, i need to use the old Manila_Music_2_5_20171130_0.
I think it's due to a localization dependence located in an other manila package.
