Oops! Anyone have the CABs contained in Extended Rom?

Oops! I installed Big Storage, but where I thought I'd backed up my cabs... I haven't. Anyone got the cabs for the Magician, or know how I can extract them from a rom file?
I've looked on the FTP, but I can't find any there.

What about the folger \Magician\Extended_Roms ? There are lots of files/folders containing the original ExtRom Cabs for lots of devices.

Or if you got a romdump from your non-bs system; use bal666 tool to extract them. Might even work on an extracted shipped-rom. But first...visit the ftp! As psych0t1c suggests.

In the new folder or in the older?

it creates the folowing folders on your card
Cacheie
Ringtones
Documents
Attachments
Mail
i think the old documents arent automatically moved to the new directory..it will be effective for new docs,rt's,mail or attachments
make sure u softreset after installing

I think youve got too many / in the path. it doesnt seem to work for me.

ok i varified that it is infact in the cab incorrectly.
its supposed to be /storage card/ringtones. you have //storeagecard//ringtones//
only need one can you or someoen tell me how to edit cabs?

I have an ITALIAN device, so I think that I must edit all the cabs in my language?
How can I edit these files?

Just ran this on my TyTn II running AT&T's first image, tried installing on both the device and storage card but I do not see these new directories...

no,this is not the way which can dump the 19839 rom your friend UDk made,and besides they just keep it as a secret and ignore every PM which were sent by the person who would be happy to know the truth.and someone just criticize that the other cookers who just start a "Cooker War" and on the other hand he just make some undumpable Rom as the prove of his selfishness.What a ridiculous phenomena....

thanks,but the rom is only removes dsm and rgu.if u dump it ,u will find the rom is do something by the owner.
so i want to know it.

would it be unreasonable to ask for the dsm and rgu's of matching build to be provided, even in a separate archive? i have no problem with placing them into my dump before packaging, just dont like the idea of dsm/rgu from a different build. i prefer clean, true SYS..
edit: im speaking in general, not specifically for 19839. i just think that alot of authors are spending time reconstructing dumps that would be better spent developing with a known good, easily accessible source.

no, they are not. some SYS rgu's have changed between 19716 and 19199/19202/19209. as the dsm contains the build number info, it goes without saying they are different too.
i really mean no disrespect and i appreciate everything you guys do. ervius, your buildos and other tools are appreciated as well as your ROMs. but my point is that we are putting people to unnecessary trouble. what benefit does anyone gain from this?

yes, dsm contains version, but you solve with my dsm patcher...
and rgu, maybe only 19716 are differents, for me no differences from 19199 and last posted...

I think that microsoft provides us with TRUE SYS 19202 (Mar 24 - April 5 - 2008)....
So, there's no reason to patch dsms... to match a non existing version .....

the dsm youcan use the 19202 or 19209 or 19199,it will ok.
we know the dsm has the information of the ROM,but it's not important.
the important is if u can get the all file from the rom?!

yes, I agree with u. swtos's ROM can be dump but can't be rebuilt. I want to know what's the problem of the ROM.

[SOLVED] Rom not booting with m2d-Solved By twopumpchump

help needed ppl
this is peculiar,I use m2d in my rom (qvga)with a particular new built when I include the m2d packages,the rom doesn't boot.when I exclude the same it boots up.whats funny when I use any other built with the same packages and same kitchen the rom boots up.
so the question is what can be causing the no booting up the rom with the new built?hope the masters and others will help me out

but its not that simple.had the NE EXTENT pkg has not been recomded properly,the rom will not boot with any built.but the rom boots with same pkg but other built and it won't boot with some other built.thats at is the problem.without m2d pkg all builts r booting up

Since NIKE has not a native 6.5 Kernel , and correct me if im wrong, you need to Recmod all the EXT Mega package i suppose.
When Kaiser doesnt have native kernel i did that way.

Ok i gave a fast look to the Log:
SLOT 0 must be with 0zero modules or less then 181, you need to RecMod,maybe someone can correct me if im wrong.
2nd....you have some duplicate modules and they wont be overwrite from the dll(file), so search for them and chenge them.
If ill find something else ill let you know.
Memory Map...
SLOT 0: 0x02000000 - 0x00740000 (END: 0x00060000, 181 MODULES)
0x02000000 - 0x01fe0000 - ROM 0
0x01fa0000 - 0x01e60000 - ROM 1
SLOT 1: 0x04000000 - 0x02020000 (END: 0x02020000, 204 MODULES)
RAM IMAGE: 0x80000000 - 0x802ac494
RAM: 0x802ad000 - 0x802db000 - Used for kernel modules
0x802db000 - 0x83470000 - 49 MB free

you should try this....
1. recmod ALL modules in your EXT folder
2. recmod these three folder in sys...browsing, browsingcore, and browsingie
i did this for kaiser for a year and roms worked great you dont have to have 0 modules in slot 0 if you dont have a native 6.5 kernel, but you do need to get it down alot lower than what you have now. the important thing is the amount of space the modules take up in your virtual memory.

I cant see anything else wrong....But...
Be sure to have NTConfig.dll recmoded in Notification enhanchment and just for be sure include Adobeflash in SYS,if i remember right i was having boot issue without it,but im not sure ,was long time agò.
Last one, go to one of my thread and check the Log, i use obly EXT Log but you wrote that with stock Chome you dont have problems....and IMO leave the Widgets cos not many people use them.
HTCUtil from mega has a backlight bug so use the one from your native phone or Opal.
If ill think to something else ill let you know.

go to the mega part of the forum and downlaod the original rom there from wiki
and then dump it with the kitchen u use(i know i can do that with ervius kitchen)

Remember most of them has been updated and patched to work in other devices... check the whitealien thread just use the search tehre are many oem ext and cab threads.

sorry to say that i have already that ext packages from the first day..
but when i start cooking with them my evk stuck on album ext saying found duplicate file on mudule then same things on and on and on..
and never build a rom..
and without that packages i can easily build rom..
second thing when i use whitlein packages to cook,it succedd but not launching manilla...
