Help getting back to stock for 2.3.4 (Kernel) - Nexus S General

Hi there. I have my phone rooted and using the netarchy kerneland stock 2.3.3 rom and as of late my phone is prompting me to update to 2.3.4 (and i want to!). I have searched around but i am unable to find instructions as to what i should do in this situation other than know i need to go back to stock kernel.
Is there a way i can do this without wiping anything and loosing root.
Many kind regards for the help in advance

[Q] synergy RC2 ??

As the title suggests, id like to install synergy rc2 rom. Problem is my evo is already running gingerbread 2.3.3 from over the air update. What is the simplest easiest way i can root & install this rom? My 1st inclination is downgrade to froyo 2.2 first, but im unsure how to go about doing that. Any suggestions or help would be appreciated. If this has been covered elsewhere please point me in the right direction cuz ive looked around quite a bit.
Thx
Look around some more.

You can't root the latest OTA update. You're going to have to wait till another exploit is found. Your stuck running sense at the moment unless you go grab yourself a Evo3D.

you are out of luck my friend, like many others and myself. We're stuck with stock GB 2.3.3 ...
All you can do is sit and wait it out until we get a full root again, it will come. Just hang in there..

You obviously didn't look very hard at all. 2 weeks ago, I counted all the threads that asked this same question, and I stopped counting at 80... So I dont know how you have missed any of these threads.
What about the possibility of downgrading, than rooting and applying a custom rom??? Can it be done that way somehow??

Again, this has been discussed at least 50 times in the last month. You cannot downgrade without root. And you cannot root 2.3 yet.

you will need to downgrade to 2.2 first. there is a guide in the development forum which will help you do that and then you can root using visionary or anything like that.
Got it done finally! Thanks
Once rooted can you upgrade to 2.3 and all will be fine or do you have to stay with 2.2?

If you flash any official update, you will lose root.
There are pre-rooted versions of the Gingerbread update in the Development section. That is what you want to flash.

[q] what apps are safe to remove after root

Hi
I'm still quite new to rooting and moddifying my phone so any help would be much appreciated.
Before the gingerbread update come out for my X10i I had rooted my own phone along with a few of my mates phones by folllowing the flashtool guide here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=928343. I also installed the JiT etc to try getting better proformance from my own phone.
Since the update I have gone back to stock so I could update my phone and now have the latest version of flashtool, but waited before rooting anything.
Can anyone supply a list of the stock apps that are safe to remove as I am sure there is probably more now since the old flashtool. Also any ideas on how to get more proformance from my stock ROM (without using a moddified ROM as I am not confident enough to play about with those yet) will be much appreciated

[Q] Upgrading back to Stock 2.3.4 while keeping S-Off and Rooted

Ok over the past 2 days I have searched over almost every single thread on the MY Touch 4g forums and can not seem to find a definite answer on this question:
Is there any way to take a rooted S-OFF, the Engineering HBoot & the ClockworkMod Recovery, 2.2.1 Stock build using the instructions on cyanogenmod.com/wiki/HTC_Glacier:_Full_Update_Guide and upgrade it back to the Stock t-mobile 2.3.4 build without unrooting etc?
I am not overly interested in installing cm7, although I did have a great experience with it on my t-mobile HD2 before the screen decided to stop working for the 2nd time. I actually did enjoy using the stock 2.3.4 build on the mt4g but would like to have more power over my phone (such as changing the hosts files to get rid of ads, remove bloatware apps I'm not interested in myself, etc).
All threads I have read more or less say once you downgrade, root and install clockwork recovery to install a rom of your choice, well I would like that rom to be the stock 2.3.4 build. Other threads state that in order to install the 2.3.4 build you need to install using the bootloader(which would unroot your phone) and not clockwork recovery.
If someone could please point me in the right direction to accomplish this goal you will seriously make my day/night/week/month.
If something is in the works that's great, I'm willing to wait it out. If this is a completely impossible goal so be it, I'll use CM7 mod.

flash via CLOCKWORKMOD RECOVERY.
hit the thanks button if i've helped
Wow... Seriously... 2 days of looking and how the hell do I miss that.
Seriously thanks, but I blame the title of that thread "T-Mobile myTouch 4G GB Upgrade (Rooted & Unrooted)" Should be a Sticky and renamed to something like READ HERE TO UPGRADE TO 2.3.4 ROOT & UNROOTED
Sigh, but seriously thanks.

j/k or whenever, dunno how much progress/work people have been making on developing it
downgrade
I have tried that available link to downgrade but all in vain. i successfully got temp root but not able to perem root. so when i put downgraded stock rom, recieving message newer version is there and visionary is not helpful in my case.
Any idea how to do that .
The only reason i want to root is my camera . i dont know what happened to it. but whenever i try to use my camera it ended up in blank screen.
I am not good in that but thinking to change the rom maybe it resolve my problem
Any help / guidance thanks in advance.

What do you mean newer version? Are you following the downgrade guide that requires adb to push, execute some files, and flash all by adb. When you downgrade, you don't simply flash the pd15img.zip you should follow the guide.
Sent from my HTC Glacier using XDA App
Look in my signature, see a link to Wiki. Open it, go to section "Root", subsection "Gingerbread 2.3.4". There will be a guide which needs to be executed IN FULL.
Try and read this with caution NOT ME OR THE PERSON WHO MADE THIS IS REPONSIBLE... it has a one click downgrade and a one click root.. after all that is down, there's a root version of gingerbread available... one step at a time...
