Since I can't get a DVP in my country, I asked a friend who currently visits the US to buy one for me.
I chatted to a DELL customer agent and asked about my options.
He said I cannot order online with DELL and have it shipped to a hotel address.
Did anyone of you do so?
Is there a shop where he can buy a DVP right away?
DELL told me about Best Buy, but if I check their website, I can't find it...
Thanks!!!
Dell ships via FedEx who allows users to ship to their location free of charge. You could pursue that option.
I would call FedEx to figure out how the whole process would work (i.e. the shipping address for the center, etc.)

Hey guys if anyone was looking to buy any accessories for your HTC Touch Pro. I found this link from MoDaCo that will email you a discount voucher code for Expansys-USA.Com or Expansys.Com. I believe this discount is thanks to MoDaCo.Com if found it from google and thought I would share.
USA: It will give you $14.94 off any accessory purchase over $30.
Europe: It will give you £10 to put towards an order of £20 or more.
Just thought I would share my findings, also it noted that the discount ends on the 30th of November. So you only have a few days left to use the discount.

It says invalid voucher code.

Mine was rejected too. And please dont buy from Expansys. I had so much problem. They never reply to emails. Had to make some international calls to settle and the phone bills is a bomb.
thats wierd, i just ordered 2 items this afternoon and my code worked fine. it was on the USA site, i dont know if it matters where you live? Also Expansys is the same company that processes orders for the HTCAccessoryStore.Com i dunno if most of you know that. They are coming from the same company that HTC uses for their official accessory store.

I ordered an item from expansys on nov 11th. Website said "instock" on it. Got a conformation email from both paypal and expansys for the item the next day. I even checked expansys's website 2 days after my order and that item still showed "instock". 3 days after that they (expansys) send me an email that its out of stock but will ship now on nov 24th. Today is the 25th and no notice or anything from them. They also have not replyed to my emails. What a way to do business.
error. see next post

I ordered the Celio Corp's Redfly on 19Nov. The payment was made through bank transfer the following day. In the order confirmation email a Singapore/Hongkong/UK phone numbers were given. I called the Singapore phone number on Monday 24Nov but it was perpetually engaged. I managed to get through to the Hongkong number on Tuesday (yesterday). At that point I was then informed that I short paid by UKL12.00 which was not made clear in the order form (at the web-site). Meanwhile a number of emails was sent to the Singapore/Hongkong/UK offices. None was ever responded. I finally request for cancellation through e-mail at the same time asked how long would they take to process. Untill this moment no one cares to respond.
Expansys is not only unethical but very unprofessional.
Another interesting issue is that it costs differently for the same item if ordered from their various web-sites (UK/Europe, or Singapore, Hongkong.) STRANGE!!
I will never get anything from expansys ever again.
i always get my stuff from expansys. no problems yet - and i mainly use the uk one and they ship it to australia - uselly in 2-3days which is awesomly quick
Another eXpansys Horror Story
Ordered 2 items from eXpansys-USA last week. One item showed over 1600 in stock and the other showed over 200 in stock. They both stated "This product is at our central warehouse and should be shipped in 3 working days".
When I checked my order status the next day it indicated both items were out of stock. The item descriptions were correct but if I clicked on the link for either one they took me a page that stated "Product not found or is not available in this region". I also noted the item number in both links were not the item numbers I ordered. When I went to the correct pages for the items I had actually ordered they still showed plenty of stock.
At this point I emailed them and finally got a reply 3 days later in which it was stated "The unit is in transit from our central warehouse and will ship later this week." I sent a reply asking what that statement meant and asking if they ship FROM their central warehouse TO the customer or what. So far no reply and I really don't expect one.
Based on this experience, and quite a few similar "reviews" I read here and elsewhere, it appears this is typical of them. It is very unlikely that I will order from them again. A first time customer has pretty much become a last time customer.
if your order is delayed, like my tv out cable, just call and they will at least give you free priority shipping...... a whopping 5 bucks!
i wanted to buy the dell streak today nline. I am from chile and wanted to order it from dell.com. it ask for a USA shipping address which i don´t have, i entered my mothers address from tennessee and tried paying with paypal and again i couldn´t because the paypal account is from chile. How can i Buyt the phone?!
I am no looking at dell streaks in ebay but i´m not sure if they will be ok.
What should i do?
I was in the same predicament. I live in Canada and didn't have a credit card with an american address, so I went the Ebay route. I was trying to avoid it at all costs but it worked out in the end, and I'm enjoying my Streak.
good to hear that, i just ordered one from ebay also, it said its unopened, sealed box. Although it´s not unlocked, i´ll try to get the unlock code from at&t and if that doesn´t work i´ll get a rebel sim
was gunna say i bet you could pay somebody else to order it for you and ship it to Tennessee but i see youve already ordered one...
I'm about to order one online too, I'm in the US so dell.com is ok, especially since they have a "Get a $100 gift card with the purchase of a Streak" (you can't use it right away though so it's not very convenient for the car/home dock)...
What I don't like is the "For use on AT&T network only" - makes no sense they should sell a locked version with no plan for $549.99! Has anyone bought one like that and they got an unlock code from AT&T ?
the one i got from ebay was locked to at&t aslo, as soon as i got it i called at&t and told them i had a dell dtreak and needed the unlock code, the rep asked for my imei and 30 seconds laer gave my unlock code. the whole call didn´t last more than 5 minutes.
That's nice, are you an AT&T customer? Someone said you had to have an account with them "in good standing".
If anyone knows about the restocking fees from Dell on a Streak I'd be interested, in case I order it and don't like it ;-)
no, im not an AT6T customer. I live in Chile and told them that also when i called.
Hi
I live in Europe and I have a friend from work that will visit the States soon.
Since I can't order it from DELL directly (DELL doesn't deliver to my country) I had the idea to get shipped to the company my friend will visit and he will take it back home ;-) (It is even a lot cheaper...)
How long will it take to get it delivered from DELL from the day I order it online and pay with credit card?
Thanks a lot for your answer!

It took 2 days before the device was actually shipped. They have a free 2-day shipping deal but keep in mind FedEx doesn't deliver on Saturday.
I recently found out that the International warranty that was advertised with the phone on amazon is total bs and emailed amazon about it and also included that the phone is now over $100 less now. I just received a response email with an offer of 20% refund which comes to about $130 back. I am sure that some people here bought the same phone and I would give it a shot and email them. I am again thoroughly impressed with amazons customer service. Hope this helps yall.

interesting, did you buy from amazon (current price $660) or third party sellers, about $100 cheaper than amazon?
in any case, the item now shows "no warranty" in the title, maybe thanks to you
http://www.amazon.com/dp/B004QTBQ2C/
I paid $700-something to import, when it was released, do not regret a single cent of that money.
There was two when I bought one with no warranty and one with the "international warranty ". The one I bought was $550 when I looked at it earlier.

It's been posted lots of times - no international SGS2 purchased outside of its country of intended sale is warrantied. Period. A bunch of people did what you did and bought (literally and figuratively) the claim from an Amazon third-party reseller that the phone had a warranty. You're just confirming what was known all along. Samsung requires a receipt and/or credit card statement before they'll do warranty work and those documents have to reflect the proper country of sale. The seller also has to be an authorized Samsung dealer. They have a database of serial numbers so they know which phones were shipped to which authorized resellers to be sold. You might take it up with Amazon because what you purchased on their site was clearly misrepresented. The only way to get a warrantied international SGS2 in the U.S. is to buy it from an authorized reseller in the UK and have it shipped or from Expansys USA who sends it to their offices in the UK should it need repair.

Wow. This post was not about the fact that the warranty is bogus. It is that you can get 130 back if you just email them. I know that the warranty is a known issue and has been for some time. The purpose of this post was to be helpful to the other members in the community that could maybe get some dough back. But thanks for pretty much calling me an idiot for posting a known fact when in actuality all I was doing was trying to help with getting some members some of their money back.
Heading back to the UK tomorrow after some time away. Is the 3G Nexus 7 available in shops yet? If so, where?

Not yet am afraid, "3" Reckon they will have it in store 2nd week of December, but no exact date or price confirmation (Contract or PAYG locked or unlocked etc).. No other store even mentioning it, and with Play Store still out of stock they seem really thin on the ground.
A friend of mine asked about them in John Lewis and was told they would be stocking it, but they didn't know when. They said it would likely appear online first, but you can order online to collect in store (including some Waitrose). Since John Lewis give a 2-year warranty and have the best customer service around, that would be my first choice.
HMV should also be getting it according to a sales person.
Argos are worth keeping an eye on too, as they are selling the 32 GB Wi-Fi.
