Welcome tot he forum
Hoping that is not a hardware related problem I would do a reflash to try to solve it
Read in the Wiki on how to
Hope it helped,
That happens one day in the car travelling home that the sound suddly stop working i restart the xda and everything (not reflash) but nothing work i will try to reflash it because i think is not a hardware problem
is the first time i try to reflash my pda but i have a problem when i try to downgrade it that shows error 260 and i dont know how to fix it
ok, i fix the problem with upgrade xD my english is not good at all and i missunderstand some of the instructions, but after read 100k of threats and 5 hours trying things now is upgrading to tomal rom i hope that this will fix the problem i had before
after reflashing the ce two times the sound is still not working, i am updating now the radio from 1.09 to 1.15, the stereo speakers make a little bit of noise when a sound is played, the headphones dont work, the phone speaker works propertly, and the microphone works but only send the voice to the phone speaker ¿? i dont know why happens this last thing
radio updated and the problem continues anybody can help?
I think it´s a hardware related problem
Try to take it to a repair center
Good luck,
I have the same problem. When a sound is played it just clicks and that's all. I had a problem with my ribon cable and I took it out. I've done that before (it's my second cable failing), so I knew what I was doing. I was off for a about a month untill I got a now cable. When I put it back together, I had no sound, just that click thing. I can't take it to a repair center. If anyone has a solution, please share.
I also found that my camera does not work. It says Failed to initialize camera. 36001:100:1. I tried a different rom, but still have the problem.
Also I tried to make a phone call (I'm not using it as a main phone, that's why I just found that out) and I can hear the other person, but they can't hear me.

PD: orb3000 muchas gracias por ser tan atento
I have good news. Something happened. I dont know what i did... but i got my sound back (and camera. main camera at least).
As you I flashed the rom, then the radio rom and I still got the problem. So I thought I'll leave it like that untill I find a solution. And I thought.. well i can at least play some games on it and I downloaded Archibald. I put it on the phone. Started it and ?! I had sound. Again I dont know if I did something before that, but I got it working. I'll attach the game, maybe it did something. Give it a try.
Again I have no idea what I did. It might have some bad connections somewhere. I remember I had the same problem (either with the Universal or the Wizard) but dont remember how I fixed it.
Here is a link for the game:
i install it but the miracle didnt happens i also will try to remove the battery it have on the motherboard to make a cmos clear (like in a normal computer). Lucky you i will keep trying
I'm sorry to hear that. I didn't if it matters but my small mb battery is dead. Apperantly it died during the month the battery was out. Everything works except that when I do a soft reset, the clock resets too.
I have these problems too, does anyone know the specification of the mobo battery?
I have the sound problem but mine doesnt work even with headphones in and i also have a problem with the keys being activated when the screen is in a certain position. Could all of these problems be casued by the ribbon cable?Rob
As far as my expirience goes with the ribon cable, it commands the touch, the lcd, mic, speaker on the lcd part. the keyboard has it's own cable. and it snaps to the motherboard. maybe it's loose or something. For the battery I got http://cgi.ebay.com/Dopod-D900-900-T-mobile-MDA-IV-Qtek-9000-backup-Battery_W0QQitemZ350170469398QQcmdZViewItemQQptZGPS_Accessories_Cablesthis on ebay. But mine looks a little different.
also happens to me when i make a soft reset the clock also restart could be all because the mb battery is dead?
OK, we are getting somewhere Since my sound got back, whenever I reset I get to keep my current time. So maybe my mb battery fixed itself or charged.
I am pretty sure now that is what's causing the problems. If you could disassemble your pda, try playing with the battery. See if it is not loose or something. Try to short-circut it. Get a something form metal and touch both pins. Also try leaving your PDA charging over night.
I hope you fix it since I cant seem to find that kind of battery over the internet.
my Samsung OMNIA 7 phone has got itself caught in a constant beep loop. This started automatically i tried everything and after that i found that this sound is of battery charging on/off sound which come when the phone is plugged for charging.
Now i have to keep the phone on vibrate mode and it does not go in lock mode ( display is always on )
After searching on internet i found that this problem is faced by three to four persons and the problem is related to battery port malfunction and hard reset will not solve the problem. no other information is available on internet
As i am in India and the phone is not launched and supported here cant give it to service center. Please if any one is having any solution,
it will be of great help
have you tried flashing it?
Sent from my OMNIA7 using XDA Windows Phone 7 App
few days back i have flashed Mango RTM is this problem is related with it?
please let me know if you have any solution
it is a hardware problem ... my phone does the exact same thing b/c i guess i must have been too rough with it ... part to replace it is:
3722-003065 IFC600 JACK-MINI USB
This worked for me (from answers.microsoft.com - how-do-i-stop-the-battery-icon-on-my-focus)
"Slightly move the pin inside the cellphone charging port away from the wall using a sharp item (I used board pin).....I think it is touching the wall and hence it keeps charging..."

Oh, so the bluetooth That doesn't works without wifi enabled is a construction problem? Damn it! If I sent it to assistance they'll change it with a brand new?
Same happening here after one year of use....
It's quite annoying.
Besides the "moving pin from wall" is absolutely bogus for me, I actually disassembled and tryed pushing/pulling every part of the usb socket and everything remains the same. I can barely get it charged poking and proding it randomly. It charges for a couple minutes, then the looping returns.
I really can't figure WHAT pin users pushed into WHAT "wall" to make this supposed fix so easy...

Hi HDmadman. I am also new to the Gnote, bought mine 2 weeks ago. It seems to be a German version, as the original ROM came with some German applications.
After 3 days of use, my GNote started going crazy with sort of similar behavior as yours (charging without charging) and others that were even worst, like turning on by itself, opening applications by itself, etc.
It was on KKA rom and decided to go to stock KL7 to try to fix the problem, after the factory reset did not worked (as with you). After this ROM update, which I made almost 1 week ago, the phone is behaving well, with no "ghosts". (however I am still scared about what I saw on it that time and am still checking it very closely every time trying to find some strange behaviour like those).
What ROM version are u using ? Possibly a ROM update can help you as it seems to worked for me.
Cheers
Cabtouch
Charging without plugged also happened to me.. i was partying outside(new year) and there was a lot of fog an humidity. it was constantly vibrating (mute) saying it was charging/off charging loop, and when i touched the screen it would start vibrating non stop. scared the hell out of me!! that night taking the battery of for a couple minutes fixed it. The next day plugging in the usb cable on the pc it would charge but windows wasn't detecting the mobile (no usb sound when connecting original samsung cable). i cleaned the connectors of the phone with a dry toothbrush and imediattly got fixed. Has never happened to me again. But got me pretty scared though.. hoping it won't happen again!
Hi,
My brother has a Galaxy Note 3 (the LTE version. N9005) which has been brilliant up until just now, where it can't charge nor connect to a PC.
He's tried using both the microUSB 3.0 cable that came with it - both connecting to a computer and to charge - as well as a microUSB 2.0 cable to charge... Neither has worked.
He's on stock, no rooting whatsoever (not that kind of person).
Is this a hardware problem or is there anything that could solve this before we send it off to warranty?
Any answers are greatly appreciated...
UPDATE: Its suddenly charging again... But we'll see what happens... In the meantime, can anyone offer an explanation?

I have the same problem with the phone not being recognised by the computer or charger. Strange thing is that the computer recognises the phone in download mode via odin (an kies for a while). And it has been charging while in download mode connected to kies or odin.
I initially thought it was a bad third party rom i had downloaded and tried to change to another rom. It was back to charging for a bit and then after a day stopped again. Tried to reset to factory rom and bricked the phone in the process (as stupidly checked reactivation lock and clicked a wrong button when titanium backup asked if I wanted to restore the previous id - spent 2 days to unbrick it.....
But now I'm back to the phone not being able to charge or being recognised by the computer. Even the OTG cable isn't recognised. HELP pleaseeee someone. First issue with a Galaxy since the S3/S4/Note1/Note2.
Any thoughts as to what the issue could be? Someone mentioned that it could be a setting in phoneutils menu (if USB set to modem it wont recognise - has to be set to PDA). But the *#7284# command doesnt seem to work on the Note 3. Does anyone know how to invoke the phone utility menu?
I might have to take it back to Samsung - only that I have rooted it and knox shows it!!
Update :
I sent the device into the service centre this morning and explained the problem. The guy at the counter didn't bat an eye while telling me its likely a usb port problem and that he would try to check it and get it turned around within a day. When I asked him if others had similar problems, his response seemed to indicate that it wasn't an uncommon problem. They even had plenty of spares for the port.
I got a text within 2 hours telling me that the unit was fixed. They didn't give me any hassle about the unit being rooted but I guess with a hardware issue, it shouldn't have mattered anyway.
So far so good with the unit. Just thought I'd update you guys.

Sorry to revive an old thread, but is it just a hardware problem then?
The phone suddenly started charging again shortly after your reply, so we didn't have this problem for months.
The phone got repaired after quite a bad incident, and now its not charging or connecting to a PC again.
There's a Samsung service centre down the road from where I am so we're planing on going tomorrow. Just wanted to see whether it was hardware or software related...

This maybe aswell related to cache, you could go into the st9ock recovery and wipe cache (no need to factory reset) Ive used this method to solve connecting issues with note 3 to computers.

And that causes no side effects whatsoever?
It also doesn't charge via AC, so could jt fix it as well..?

Clearing cache does not create any problem/ harm. The ones ive tested had connecting issues data/debug ... but showed charging... but no harm in trying your luck eh?

Hoping it'll work indeed... since we're overseas we can't exactly claim warranty either, though I'm not sure it'd even pass for warranty anyway
Sent from my GT-I9300 using Tapatalk
Fixed it, we just took it down to the service centre the guys there replaced the USB port for free (after a bit of complaining on our part, we had already paid quite a bit to repair the thing after a freak accident)
@dogmatism, thank you for your help anyway!

This problem happened before the freak accident, but it just fixed itself somehow, so wasn't much of an issue until now.

It started recently. Doesn't happen while charging from a power bank... What could've went wrong?
Edit: I'm on AOSPA, but had this issue on HalogenOS as well

I'm using the stock charger. Now there's a new problem. The ghost touches are appearing even if I connect my speakers via the audio jack... I'm terrified.
ok I don't know for sure but i think the power outlet may have a grounding problem . the only way to find it out is to charge the phone at a different location , at office probably . Especially in India it happens a lot.
I faced this issue earlier and it was NOT related to earthing, charging or cables. I found out that the problem was with the ROM (first official CM13 nightly). To confirm, I flashed the OOS 3.0.2 and the problem was gone but when I returned to CM13, it reappeared. However, I wiped everything (except internal) and re-flashed the latest CM13. I am now not having any ghost touch issues.
Give it a try, it might help.
