There are two apps that do what you want - as far as I know anyway...
Both are called "Group SMS" - one is by toflus and the other is by shaileshashar.
Like @rudegar said, use a Google search of XDA-devs (see this post) and you'll get much better results
Cheers,
Mark.
Hi there.
Could someone tell me, where the text messages are located on the Leo?
I want to write an application where i can extract the messages and view it in plain text on my PC. I've googled a lot, found some programs that backup messages or sync it with outlook, but no one does that what i want. So i decided to write it by myself. I hope that someone can help me find the text messages on the Leo.

They're stored in a database mate.
I don't know what programming language you're using but this helped me...
http://www.codeproject.com/KB/mobile/PocketPCandSmartphone.aspx
Also, you'll usually get more luck asking things like this in the dev section...
http://forum.xda-developers.com/forumdisplay.php?f=523
Hope this helps
Thanks for the fast answer, now i can give it a try.
Sorry, but i'm just not long enough in this forum to know all the sections.

You're welcome mate, and I wasn't moaning about you posting in the wrong section. I just think you'll get a better audience for that kind of question in a dev forum.
Good luck with your app

this is the point where 3rd party product come into the game:
maybe http://www.portablepim.de could make a point.

Hey,
if you want to see your app in German I can help you!
Indeed I can´t code I´d like to support the developer community in this way and help to localize your app
List of my translated apps:
- WakeVoice
- E-Mail Notifier & SMS Notifier
- Dropspace
- smartTask
...and I still support the developers of this apps with further translations of updates.
And how much I have to pay? Of course nothing!
So if you are interested just mail me.
I have just send you an email
Sounds good. I have an app that I would like to get into German as well as other languages I'll send you a mail. Thanks!
What if we need not only app translation but also whole website http://www.bloove.com? Would accept one year unlimited plan in exchange?
maybe you can use google translate for android...

Well, I know that the Google translator is not bad but when you compare a human translation from a native speaker and a computer translation, especially of larger texts, you will be shocked and often the consensus is a completly different
@rwxer:
I´ve sent you a private message
