Hi i just got a score of 3903 on the quadrant benchmark on my s2, Im really happy as this phone is superfast.
Any others with such high scores??
i dont know how to load a image here, I have taken a screen shot to prove it.
When I first got the phone my benchmark 3080, out of the box. No different after rooting.
That seems a little too high haha, i only got that high on litening rom cuz there was a script which cheats and lifts your quadrant score a bit, the highest i get is 3.2k with no overclock but with litening rom
my score was 3402, also without overclocking and custom rom.
only rooted, but that dident make the phone faster.
viniturb0, can you make a screenshot with Quadrant result, please? I'm on Lite'ning 1.5 ROM and max i can get is ~3300.
Best i got?
No root, just stock?

Hey guys I was wondering, how do you guys get such high linpack scores! my hd2 is running hyperdroidcm7 version1.0.4 and i have my device's cpu oc'd to 1.19...... ghz and the best the thing can do on linpack is 44.something mflops and on pongsters thread... http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=769026 , he shows a score of 52.051 mflops and how the F! ive tweaked and tweaked and the darn thing wont climb to 45 mflops ( which is still pretty damn decent considering the clock speed) Just wondered if anyone can help thanks!
Anybody?

I run both builds testing and always get around 40-45. You can get 50 but you won't notice a difference at all. Try using a kernel that supports 1.5mhz oc. Antutu benchmark is a much better indicator of overall system performance.

I use linpack quadrant and that one and linpack tells just CPU megaflops. Why I used it for this.
What rom has the highest quad score for the vibrant?
Sent from my SGH-T959 using XDA App
Depends on many factors, not just the rom. There's also the Kernel, OCing, UVing and even the launcher.
Highest I have had without an overclock was 2456, and that was on Simply Galaxy v3 RC3 (Port from i9000) with all the tweaks engaged. It was very very fast. Faster than any other ROM I have used, even with overclock. Hell, if I could OC with that ROM I would bet that I could break 3000+ quads easy. But quads are worthless. You just have to try using the phone with the speed of that ROM. I didn't know the vibrant could be that fast.
Running Trigger right now. Get anywhere from 1400-1600. Runs ok. Was just wondering what some of the other Rome were capable of. How is the Simply Galaxy rom? I personally don't know anyone who has used it.

2750 Quadrant.
Darky 9.5 Froyo 2.2.1 base rom, 1.48Ghz Bullet Kernel linked in my sig.
Phone is FLYIN. Gingerbread 2.3.3 builds can go higher (but have bugs).
I got a Quadrant of 3300.....!!
I was using my TI-83 calculator with a tic-tac stuck in the DC in slot!
2000 flat w/ bi winning V2 no OC w/ voodoo. VERY FAST though. Quadrant doesn't give it justice.

Quads dont mean anything.

I have a 3500 quadrant. On top of that, my battery increases 2% every hour as a result.
I'm running Android 3.3 on mine. 4700 quadrant score and when I plug my usb up to my laptop the phone charges it.
5000 with a V8 hemi under the hood!
With the battery in, I get around 16K but I only get 8K if I take the battery out.
I'm using the FBS ROM.
Speaking of Quadrant...It sucks

I second this.
So useless of an app, it has nothing to do with the actually smoothness and snapyness in any phone. Sometimes I feel it's scores are the other way around, the lowest you get the better your phone is
I'm a total lurker, but after "bricking" my vibrant about 3 weeks after getting it home last Fall and discovering the fix here, I've been tweaking, wiping, flashing, odining, and having a helluva lot of fun with it. I'll probably betray myself as still being a noob, but I see everyone kind of poo-pooing Quadrant as meaningless (and other benchmarks, it seems). Is there any objective measurement that you guys consider worthwhile?
I thought I was all hot **** for breaking the 2K mark, but I guess none of that matters?
Trigger 3.2 with Bullet 1.42...just added bullet, so currently OC'd to 1.2 while I get a feel for what the phone can handle.

On Biwinning with o.c. I am getting 2580 ....... but it does not perform ant better than leaving the clock @ 1000 so I leave unclocked ......... I get great battery life then...........
Quadrant is amusing...
but it's not always telling of how a rom actually performs. Back in the day when we were using the OCLF, quad scrores were in the 2k range and that was with 2.1
That being said, I felt compelled to post this anyway, mainly just to show the cpu score improvement that we get with gingerbread. My phone was running Cyanogenmod7 at stock speeds. Comparing quadrant scores between roms that are all based off of each other is pointless.
The 1815 score is from CM7
The 1755 score is from MIUI
MIUI performs great, but it's not as buttery smooth as CM7. But from the two scores you wouldn't see that. More importantly I think this also lends to what I said about comparing two scores between roms that are based off of each other.
Hi,
as i'm using my iconia a500 i noticed some heavy Performance issues. i rooted and installed several Roms but my Quadrant score keeps being low. right now i am on lightspeed 1.0.1 with Richard's Kernel and my Quadrant score is only 656!!!
i'm really curious about this any suggestions?
thanks in advance
kiark
Just a guess, but the cpu probably is not running full during the test. Might have to use a app to force to 1000 during the test.
Running 2.4 kernel? If so, the default intersctive scaling governor is borked so either use setcpu to change to on demand or flash back to 2.3. Im personally running 1.6ghz as max speed with on demand.
thank u very much, setting the cpu up with setcpu worked!
CPU really does not have much effect on quadrant score. It is the combination of the Rom and the kernel it self.

IM using the xoom 3.2 rom
My acer is over clocked to 1.5 and here are my benchmark scores.
Useing Quadrant I got 3421 (best of three runs) and frame rates around 45
Useing Linpack I got 45.438 mflpos on single thread in 1.85 seconds and
71.53 mflops on multi-thread in 2.36 seconds again best of three runs
Useing AnTuTu Benchmark I got a score of 6159 and frame rates right at around 60 fps
Useing Vellamo (its new and a benchmark tool for a tablets browser to see how ell the browser performs does things like java and flash stress tests and load speeds of web pages) I got a score of 1072

not sure on this. if it doesnt have much effect why do you see such a huge difference between 216 Mhz and 1.5 Ghz clock speeds in quadrant?
Hello.this is my antutu result.please share opinion and screenshots.i use cm10 stable with marmite kernel.
Whats your score?

My first run was 2700 something, then i rebooted and got this. Running latest cm10.1 nightly, with marmite 8.4. Stock freq.
Looks like cm10 is way faster than cm10.1. OP do you have any mods?

Yep i used oc 1400.I just flashed jellyshot with mermite kernel with 1.32 OC and smartass and got this
First two screens are result for cm-10.1-20130408-NIGHTLY rom with cm kernel.
The 3rd and 4th screenshot were made after updating to 20130416-NIGHTLY and flashing mermite-v8.5cm kernel.

Yesterday I've overclocked CPU to 1100mHz on marmite_8.5 kernel and got score around 3850 but forgot to take a SS :/
Today, I flashed Air_Kernel_Weekly_r341_JBN_BlueColor_CM, overclocked CPU to 1200mHz and then made the test again. Results in first ss. After that I was courious what are the results for normal CPU frequency. So the results for the same kernel, running at 1000mHz are in the second screenshot.
So the best results were using Air kernel with overclocked CPU. When CPU wasn't overclocked the best results were with latest marmite kernel.
so, I urge CM10.1 users to post their results and that way we'll find the best config

On general (my experience) 3200-4000 is pretty normal without overclocking depending on rom/kernel/phone/battery level and temperature.. Two identical phones with the same set up will get different scores. Some mods/tweaks can increase this as well as having a good amount of free ram and no other programs running.
But these are just "fun" tests and not a true assessment of real performance..
With that said, Carbon rom is SOOOO much faster..
Ofcourse But as you've said.. It's fun to test out different combinations and it also feels good when you out do the first score for 1000 points and make your phone as good as some more expensive phone ^^

Agreed... And it is fun mopping the floor with slow ROMs (joking)...
This was set at only 800 mhz

No matter what rom I've tried, I don't get much over 2k on 3d.. this test I was just a bit under, but still damn good for a Nexus S.. I saw you are trying to improve the graphics in your rom, I hope it works, but I really want a faster load time on apps and less lag in everything else. I have tried your rom, on this test as well, and you came up over 500 points below my score of 5300. I test all roms the same with multiple kernels (stock included as well) and different schedulers/ governors.. but as battery life goes you are towards the top..
Hey everyone
I ran antutu benchmark on my nexus 4 running PA v3.97 and i got a score of a little more than 16 thousand and then i install the semaphore kernel and got an embarrassing score of 14162. Whats happening? Arent these a little odd considering that a STOCK Nexus4 has a score of 20 thousand?
And another un-related thing, The carbon rom is not booting up with the matr1x kernel. the google sign comes up and no bootanimation and it stays there.
Really need your help, Thanks
If there is one thing I learnt here it would be that benchmarks are unreliable.
Make sure that kernel matches the ROMs Android version and build, it may not be even supported.

Stock doesn't score 20k
Check your CPU speed on your Antutu Detailed Score, I would say most likely it was caused by the CPU throttling if it's not 1514 (or something around that),
Custom ROM can be the culprit too, since I only get 13k-14k score with MIUI (from miuiandroid) which is pretty embarassing, that was MTK6579 level.
My stock 4.2.2 doesn't even come close to 20k score. Only 17,900 something.
