Defective touch screen? - EVO 4G General

I had my evo's (003) touch screen die where the main screen didnt light up but the buttons did. I couldnt see anything on the phone but it did work and I could make calls with bluetooth etc.. SO, I took the phone into the store and they replaced the entire screen which includes the front buttons and side volume rocker etc.
HOWEVER, now the bottom buttons (home, back etc) do not work. Has anyone had this issue? Im taking it back for them to put ANOTHER screen on.. I did find this video of almost the same issue I am having:
Im wondering if other had this issue and if there might be a bad batch of replacement panels... The service tech told me I needed to hard reset to get the buttons working and I did and same issue....
Thanks....

I have had that happen before even white spots on screen and where it became unresponsive to touch locked up. Had it swapped out and the new one had the screen coming apart. Then the next one wasn't glued on right windex got on the lcd. Got my phone from Asurion and they sent me one with glue all over messed up charger port and the screen had 15 lines running str8 down the center.
I have no idea why but I believe there is a bad batch of panels still running around. Now I have a brand new 0004 evo Asurion gave me after I called and talked to them takes awhile to get through to someone. But worth the 100.
Sprint store always gave me refurbs with big issues always such as screen issues and broken volume button and camera issues.

Problem with Shadow screen while sliding

Hey everyone,
Today after unplugging my Shadow, I slid the screen up (duh) to check my text inbox. Right as I pushed the screen up (only 1/4"-1/2" up from closed), the screen contrast decreased dramatically. I have been messing with this all day and it only happens within about a 1/2" area almost immediately above closed, but will move slightly up or down depending on how quickly the screen is slid in either direction. With the keypad completely out, this will completely go away, but several times now has remained low contrast with the keypad closed and the screen locked (screen lock has absolutely no effect to it). I have restarted and the phone still does this during boot-up. Anyone have any ideas? I'm really not looking forward to paying the $110 insurance claim fee for a 9-month old phone
Hey, i know exactly what you are talkin about, i had the same thing happen to my shadow. It turns out the the ribbon that connects from the wheel board(where the wheel is at) to the LCD cracks/breaks on the right side, and the part that sucks it only one or two lil lines that break and berely notice because t-mobile wouldn't take my phone through warranty and i didn't have insurance so i decided to take it apart myself, i ended up buying a shadow with a broken lcd and just replace the wheel board with the ribbon.
That's pretty much what I thought, turns out now that the home button doesn't work when the screen is shut and the screen is showing high contrast, and wifi just recently crapped out on me (after 20 restarts/pulling out battery, it might work for 5 minutes). I haven't abused this thing, WTF HTC???
Just call T-mobile. u can exchange your phone for new one. I already have 3rd one after having some problems with prev ones without spending a penny

Touchscreen doesn't work anymore

Well, plain and simple is that my touchscreen doesn't response to any touch reponse but the screen is working and everything else
I recently bought a white G1 housing kit on ebay and decided to take the risk of opening up my G1 to replace the housing of my black G1 to the white one, but turns out the white case for the screen / menu buttons arent correct so i scraped those and just changed the keyboard and menu button keys to white and put everything back together properly and exam each part and etc.
so i put everything back together and turn on the g1 everything works fine but the touchscreen doesn't work, is there anyway i can fix this?
life is hard using the G1 without a working touchscreen lol
thanks again and i don't think my screen is defective just wondering why it doesn't reponse to my touch
thanks
Once I was walking around in the heat with my G1 in my BDU pocket for like 4 hours, and it obviously got really humid in my pocket, and my touchscreen stopped responding. I let the phone just sit off for a while and after about an hour sitting in my room, it started working again. But I've had several instances where the touch screen has been less responsive/not responsive.
My guess based off my experience would be that some ambient moisture may have gotten into the phone when you opened it up. How long has it been since you put it back together?
Any update on this?
you said you had 2 g1s, right? so take the phone apart again and replace the touch screen.
the touch screen is separate from the LCD, so that wont affect it.

[Q] Replaced screen problems (video)

Hi all ,So the story goes is I had my cracked screen replaced by my insurance 2 months ago. My new screen was fine up until a few week ago when this started happening..
youtu.be/lXv5xBA-r9E[/url]
Basically when I press hard on the top right of the screen I get ghost touches all over the screen. It also happens all the time when I use a case because of the pressure on the top right part of my screen.
I noticed that I can get my fingernail in between the 2 parts of the phone on the side. I really don't want to go a month without my phone again so I'm reluctant to send it off to insurance. Has anyone had this problem? Should I try a phone repair shop? Does this happen if a screen isn't fitted properly or is it another problem? Thanks
Seems like a faulty digitizer
More info... The screen works fine when I press it normally. It only goes crazy and when I press slightly harder or if there is a case on

LCD Screen Issue with Moto X Pure XT1575

Hello all. Recently, my wife's phone was experiencing rapid ghost touches. I called customer support and since the phone was out of warranty, they offered to trade in for a refurbished one for $109. I didn't want to do that so I bought a new digitizer from ebay for about half that price.
I received the new digitizer and replaced it following some guide online. I placed it back together to test it out - only put a few screws back in. The new digitizer fixed the ghost touches issue and everything was working well.
However, I didn't finish transferring some rubber pieces from the old frame (I think they're for the front speakers. I also didn't transfer the grills for the front speakers. So I took the phone apart, transferred those rubber pieces and then attempted to transfer the grills. However, they weren't going in their slots very easily and I was attempting to press the bottom one in with some force. I didn't notice anything out of the ordinary, but now the screen just doesn't display anything. The phone is on and the touchscreen seems to work.
I can do the double twist to get to the camera and take a picture with the volume button. However, the screen is completely black. Also, if I call the phone number, the phone starts ringing, so I believe the phone still runs and the touchscreen is still ok. However, it doesn't display a single thing.
So I re-seated all of the connectors involved with the repair (especially the LCD and digitizer connectors), but that didn't work. After that, I switched back to the old digitizer I just replaced just to make sure I didn't break the new one. It still isn't displaying.
Is anyone familiar with this issue and what I can do to fix it? Thank you
*I asked for assistance in reddit and lenova forums so far, but that hasn't proved fruitful
