So is there any success getting a version of flash that reports itself as a non-mobile version? I found some versions that work on Froyo based systems, but none that seems to work on the Honeycomb based ones... Any suggestions?
There are a couple of threads in the Xoom forums about this. They have an edited flash apk that will play hulu videos that you may want to try.
ya' nothin working for me either, tried the xoom method, no go
Yup, thx. Before I even posted I had tried the Xoom one. Thought it would be similar enough... I tried a few other methods suggested for other phones/devices, but none seem to work for the iconia... Anyone got anything?

I have also tired many different roms same thing happens with all of them.
same here. Only ones I've been able to get "working":
- FF7: runs perfectly
- Tekken3: runs, but very slow
- Metal Gear Solid: boots up the main menu, but nothing after that
- Silent Hill: graphics a lil buggy, stops working after needing to load a new scene
try loading the new leaked 08/01/10 rom, i tried that and it runs fine on mine... eboot pbp roms seem to run a little bit faster than other filetypes.

PSX4DROID is NOT compatible with Cyanogenmod-6 Test builds (This will likely be fix in future builds).
I've installed many different ROMS, the only ones that work is Cyanogenmod-6 Nightly builds.
But I stopped using Cyanogenmod-6 for HTC Incredible since Test#8 and since nightly build 7-28-10.
I love the idea that you can use the Wii remote controller to control the emulators, but in its current state, it's too buggy.
Switching to the leaked froyo (leaked on 8/1/10) is probably best, if you don't care for the option to use the Wii remote controller as a bluetooth device.

Which nightly build worked for you i tried the newest build but still no luck; does the froyo 8-1-10 leak change the radio at all? can i just flash that rom like i would with any other?

Yeah, you'll need to update your radio. Therefore, your Baseband version will be upgraded to 2.05.00.06.11.
Regarding the nightly build, I believe the last one I used was 7-27-10. (From: http://droidfiend.com/roms/htc-incredible/cyanogenmod-6/ OR http://mirror.kanged.net/cm/nightly/inc/)
Did you make sure that your PSX4DROID has a BIOS file?

Yes i have tired four different bios files nothing and tired three different nightly's still nothing; for the most part i have just giving up on trying to make this work because it doesn't.
Please do a search next time for this, you can add on to information/problems for this application specifically to a thread already made.

Since you did not mention anything about keeping Bluetooth controller support, I suggest upgrading to the leaked OTA (Froyo ROM). Which would mean updating your radio...
OR, wait a bit cuz HTC is planning to release the official Froyo update but you gottta be careful with that as it will unroot your phone.
The problem is that we're talking about two different ROMs here. The people that are saying use a different ROM are talking about the build on your phone. PSX4Droid doesn't work with CM6 yet.
Try SkyRaider or the 8/1 Leak.
PSX4Droid works well on the 8-1 leak. You shouldn't run it without updating your radio first, though.
Also, if you use a ZeeMote or an MSI BGP100, you can use a bluetooth remote with an HTC Sense phone. You just only have those two choices. Drivers are available in the market. It's called GamePro.
Hi All,
I have tried looking in the dev section (please dont flame me lol) but I can't seem to find it. Can anyone tell me if there is a standard GSM 2.1 that I can load onto my hero in update.zip format. I dont mind about having root, but I want to keep the recovery image so I can install custom roms again at a later stage.
Anyone care to point me in the right direction, or tell me im retarded and I cant do this???
Thanks
I did a one before which worked perfect then I took it down because I got people complaining so I redid it... which did not work so perfect so I left it to others.

Thanks andrewb84uk,
That all seems to be working great! Pretty good linpack score too even with standard clock speed.
One other question, do you know what the latest radio version is and where I can get it?
I am running 63.18.55.06JU_6.35.09.26 that i downloaded from here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=559622 however that page hasn't been updated since March so I was wondering if there is a newer one that people are using?
Regards,
hopoffbaby
It is recommend you update to the latest one from here:

Most people will be using 63.18.55.06PU_6.35.15.14.zip. As above the ROM is brilliant so if you choose to play with ROMS you can check that one out.
So I tried installing hex edited flash apk from the evo forums to see if it would work on the vibrant and either I'm installing it wrong or there is a vibrant specific one that I can't find...so does anyone know how to make the hex edited flash apk work for the vibrant or can you direct me to the correct apk? Thanks in advance.
Sent from my GT-I9000 using XDA App
people were installing the evo version a while back (I actually have it on my phone) but it turned out not to work as full flash on the vibrant, (Theres a thread on it somewhere, I could find it for you if you like) it basically still is just flash light. (although a few people said it made flash not work at all) so in short, so far we still have to wait for Froyo unfortunately, there is as of yet, no full flash for the vibrant.
The apk looks for permissions that are only in froyo builds. You can flash one of Eugene's froyo roms and make it work though.
I tried using the files found at this link:http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=8132408&postcount=1 I was only able to get the Hulu app running, but it won't launch in the browser. BTW, don't try flashing the HuluFix.zip file, as it's for the Evo. You will have to push the libraries through ADB with the instructions given. The problem, I believe, is the browser because it doesn't have the UA String setting.
Can someone please tell me if it is actually possible to get flash player installed on the nexus 10 without rooting...I've gone through many threads and articles which show ways of doing it and none of them actually work.
Get really bored of reading through all these different threads then it not working. Can someone please tell me if there is a way to get this working.....
Thanks in advance

Many web sites offer a download of the Flash apk file. Just download it and install. Note that not all browsers support flash. Some that do include Dolphin,Boat,Ocean to name a few.

I have Dolphin HD installed and couldn't get Flash to run. Is there something that needs to be done? Went into settings and I keep getting the flash disabled due to incompatibility message. This is on a stock N10, no root or unlock.

Get the flash apk from this thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1774336
In my own limited, unscientific experience, Tint browser works best with flash on Nexus 10. Get it here https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=org.tint&hl=en
Dude ocean browser ftw!!!! Now wield great on the nexus
Try the Boat browser which supports flash, password manager, speed dialer and full screen mode.
Has anyone managed to get flash player working on the 10.1 yet? Is it even compatible with the atom chip?

So far I know Adobe stopped support for flash player in Android 4.0 so that's the last version that really had full flash but you can always download flash browsers like puffin: )

I have tried many browsers that say they support Flash, but none work so far. I'll give puffin a go.
Dolphin and puffin are the only ones, puffin does it straight on install, dolphin has to be setup to use flash
You just go to adobe's website and you have to search but the last flash player for android is 11.1. They have it there I'm their archives. It works great in all my browsers. Even with the messages site put up to upgrade flash player, the content still works.
I have tried for several months to get flash working on my 10.1. Amazon Prime Instant to be specific. I have not yet been successful. I have tried every browser and several versions of flash. If anyone has been able to watch AP on their 10. 1, please report back on how you did it. Stock, boat, dolphin, puffin, skyfire, flash fox browsers do not work! (yes, I go into the settings and set it to desktop mode and enable the flash).

Well, I tried this one too. No luck.
hmm
Then you are doing something wrong or you do not have the correct device.
A display of simple manners would be appreciated.
These are the flash support files for the Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 10.1.

I apologize my comment came across as rude. Not intended to be so. I am able to play some flash files on my tablet (which is a Tab 3 10.1) but not able to get Amazon Prime videos to work.
What happens when you try to play a video?

Forgive me, I spoke in haste. I offer no excuses, I have wronged you and I offer my sincerest apologies.
I would like to try and continue to work out the flash issue if you are willing.

okay so after some reading, the general feel on this is amazon is intentionally breaking the service to non-amazon devices,
there might be something in this http://www.teleread.com/android/watching-amazon-instant-video-on-android-kitkat-devices/ This article was published on Jan 2 2014
Thanks for kind offers of help. First let me say that my husband has a Galaxy Tab Pro 10.1 and I have flash working on this tablet for him, so I know how it works to set it up. He watches Amazon Prime videos on this tablet. In my searching I came across the comment that because of the processor of the Tab 3 10.1, streaming video from Amazon will never work (I looked at so many sites and can't remember where it was).
I am using the flash apk provided by moonbutt74.
Here are the different browsers I used and the results - I went into every browser and made sure to set it to desktop mode and enabled flash.
Boat Browser: got a prompt to install Adobe Flash (yes, flash is installed!)
Stock Browser: got a prompt to watch the video on compatible devices, such as Kindle Fire
Firefox Browser: another prompt for compatible devices
Dolphin Browser: compatible device prompt
Puffin Browser came the closest. After selecting the video, the video would load, then the screen would go dark. No video. (This is the paid version of Puffin).
Photon Browser gave the same results as Puffin.
After trying all this, I went into recovery and cleared cache and dalvik. Tried again. Same results. So I am pretty much resigned to no Amazon Prime on this tablet.
