I went to play and video with playon and it said i needed to install Flash, which did not show up as being installed even though i could see flash in the browser. Hmmmmmm
Also where is the menu key. I only see the Back, Home and Search with a recent app keys
The settings/option button for <2.2 will show up at the end of that group in the lower left corner and the settings/options button for 3.0 apps will shows up in the top right corner.
Can you guys run xda developers website with the stock browser? Click the forum section and see it scrolls. Its really choppy.

I know that flash doesn't work on 2.1, and isn't supposed to run on the vibrant. My question is, why does homestarrunner.com's flash load?
or am i just retarded?
You're right it does load, but none of the buttons on that page are pressable. There is a app pre-installed named "Flash Player" that im not too sure about.
That's because we have flash lite preinstalled, but for some reasona lot of websites display in mobile view only so it's not very useful

I was able to watch all the episodes and navigate the site. Good to know though. I can't wait until 2.2 is released. I want to bump it up to froyo but I don't think its as easy as it was on my MT3G

Home star runner is godly.
I've moved this thread to general.
Is it just me,or does everyone experience slow loading of threads in the xda app? The menus load fine but when you try to go into a post it just takes forever, which is why I'm posting from dolphin right now. Is the app buggy or something?

try out tappatalk
I just wish it would install to sd.
I believe the xda app is already powered by tapatalk , anyway I noticed that if you refresh the loading thread it loads much faster. Does this happen with everyone else?

Same here. Stopped using it long ago. In miren browser it's very fast.
Using stock att rom, works perfectly, though if I exit from a thread and return, its slow loading, have to back out to main loading screen
After a bit of fiddling I found that it gets stuck loading the thread, but if you tap 'back' then refresh, it works. Weiiird. I hate to have to do that everytime just to get threads to load.

Since the app doesn't work, you've got no choice but to use the browser. However its a lag fest.
On your Xoom scroll down to the the very bottom left and change "XDA 2010" to "XDA Classic" . Makes this site much more pleasant to browse... Almost no lag at all.

i can't stand any apps for forum browsing. i like tabbed browsing, but great tip.
so what causes the slowdown? i'm making a guess that it's the text antialiasing. they must have it set to high which makes for the blurry type. any way to tweak it?
ditto, nasty yellow colors, but scrolling is so much smoother with no lag. Thanks!
Much better!

Thanks for the tip, works great.
So what is the cause of it running so slow to begin with? I mean it's great that we have a work around, but for an $800 device I expect it to be able to browse a simple website without the need for a work around to keep it from lagging.

Use any of the alternative browsers that use a different engine - which as of today are either Firefox or Opera Mobile. Both show XDA forums just fine with no lag.
(ditto for Slashdot, if you read/post comments there regularly - it also has the same trouble with stock browser)
Ugly, but changing the theme is much faster. Thanks for the tip.
The premium app works great on the xoom.
P.S. ITS ONLY $.99

Try Opera browser. This browser is really fast on the Xoom! Also for the XDA forums it is a great browser. Almost no lags.
I just upgraded my firmware to 4.0.3 and I'm having a little bit of trouble. I use Splashtop HD and it says that it has enabled right and middle click for ICS, but when I try to right click, it just asks if I want to disconnect the session. Is there a way to set right click on an external mouse to open the context menu? I'm using a Logitech MK500 keyboard/mouse combo if that helps any.
Thanks, TechPlease

This is not a bug it it work as design. I would like also to have the old behavior back.
I've seen that on Asus there is an extra menu developed by them to chose the behavior of the right click is it possible to make an app or something to do the same.
Thank you
@Thade "Old behavior"? Do you mean where a long left click will bring up the right click menu? If not, sorry for the misunderstanding on my part. I hope they put that back in for now, as, when I use my mouse I can't right click at all.

Hi. Not sure if anyone has asked before, but does anyone able to make the drag and drop feature on multi window work on their Note 3?
It's like I tried to drag a picture from chrome to my message (in default messaging app) and it only copied the link of the webpage.

I'm not sure but i think that Chrome doesn't support this feature,
I know that Chaton and Gallery do support it,
I've managed to drag and drop pictures from the gallery to Chaton,
I didn't need to press the little blue button.
Also, i think their stock file manager supports it as well.
It works long enough in the shop to convince you to buy it.
Then you take it home to use it.
Then you find out it's a gimmick because it only works with a few SAMSUNG apps.
There are a million more people who use what'sapp & Chrome than ChatOn & the stock browser.
