Guys is there any costum Rom v 2. 3 stable enough without many problems? Can u tell me what are the problems it has? I need someone who is already using it or used to have it.

Currently there's no 100% working 2.3 Rom. There's a 2.2 Rom though that is nearly fully working for the X8.

all we need is to be more patient dude...cuz it's not easy to build a custom rom...or if you wanna cook it by your self ....

New version is relased(floyo) with only four bugs:headphones jack,compas,wi-fi,sometimes restarts)
I'm lost in choosing a ROM for my new phone ,I wanna know what is the best and most completed ROM for X8
hy, i think, if you wanna replace the stock rom, choose racht's latest rom. For me, jerelpea's rom reboots after locking the screen every minunte, while, in use it doesnt.

i searched for racht's latest ROM it is 2.3.3 but i think it is not stable yet ,any other ideas
im using miniCM - RC1 and everything works perfect for me, so i'm satisfied
none of these roms are fully stable, if we are lucky the new libaudio will fix the most of the bugs. I usually use skype, and it doesnt work on any of these roms, so i wait for the fix.

No way libaudio will fix reboot issues. They are totally unrelated. A custom kernel will though

sorry then. i read it in racht's thread, but it looks like libaudio is just causes skype crashes.
i think 2.2 ROM based is the most stable for daily use. i've installed the latest ROM for 2.3.3 and i restore back my 2.1 because lots of bug. too many reboots. the most stable ROM for me is :
Floyo 0.15
MiniCM for X8
thanks for replying guys , I have installed Floyo-0.15 and it was perfect but I found that it doesn't support Arabic keyboard ,
anyone have a solution for this problem before trying MiniCM or restoring to the 2.1 stock ROM ????
floyo n minicm are the best so far.
right now I'm on floyo with mod on system/app.
usually I try cm7 2.3 racht n jerpelea Saturday to Monday.

MiniCM for me 2, it's just so good!
Jerpelea's ROM is good as well, but I'm having trouble in games...
i have x8 and i installed rom 2.3.3 by rachet and install smartkeyboard pro and it has arabic in it and this rom he says that it provieds arabic sorry for my bad english

Just installed it this morning, and it sure is stable...
I feel like I'm having a new phone (as in fast and pleasurable )
mini CM1, been using since beta1. all is good till now after several updates. its almost flawless

im using jerpelea's 2.3.3 rom its quite stable and your able to use the camera aslong as its in VGA mode
How long i must wait to get real froyo from sony ?.,i dont like custom room coz so many bugs, so many problem,and so difficul,want to get real froyo not a fake like a custom rom..
i think that sony won't give us froyo
and custom roms aren't "fake", they are real !!! and they are really good you just nedd to choose one

Bootloader is the part of the phone that checks files when you try to update it, so it makes sure that the software you're installing is from sony...For now it has only been bypassed a bit through Xrecovery(that means we have custom ROM but no custom kernel....) . What we're waiting for is complete bootloader crack and we're very close...soon we'll have gingerbread and froyo with no problems + Dualtouch
How can u be sure that we ll get dualtouch?

sound good...,are its mean if we can passed bootloader,we can modif anything and change totally system on phone without constraints license system sony?.,but are it not to danger for phone?..,for sample..,if we modif totally system but if we have a brick and error..,can we repair its with seus?..i dont think so.,custom roms its danger but pass bootloader its more danger...

Are you sure want to wait official ROM from SE forever?
If SE don't update x8 to froyo or above, are you keep waiting?
I think using Costume ROM is better option for now. Better than Eclair from SE. you can install many app. Even there some bugs and problems, many developer there to fix this. So just wait to fix better than wait forever from SE.

The likelihood of getting stock GINGERBREAD IS MORE LIKELY THAN stock FROYO.

It's better for some things.
But it does have a completely unworking camera [neither pics or videos], disabled FM, SD safe to remove reboots, and some other bug.
I also have this custom rom installed, because I have a Sony Alpha A-55 to shot some pics and don't ever need the X8 one... but this doesn't let me say that stock eclair is worst than any other custom kernel.
AFAIK, there is not a 100% full working custom rom til now.

i will not wait for se official update because it won't happen but my hope now is that the devs here bypass this damn bootloader and give us custom kernel and a 100% working custom roms i cross my fingers !! go go brilliant devs we are all with you guys !

You'll never get the official Froyo from Sony..
They won't build one for X8..
The only way to get one is from custom ROMS..
Try elelinux v3, it's the most stable froyo rom.. No bugs at all.. Even for the rooted apps..
Thank so much first for developt who create custom rom for us..,first time read about a custom roms,iam so interesting and try many custom roms in this forum..,but after try one and other roms..,i feel its nothing special.,why?..there are just changing in font and launcher compare with se stock rom..,and so many app for froyo cant work this custom roms and its decrease we our sofware phone with cant everthing work and no bugs like se stock rom..,sory for say that ..its a fact.

That's true as far as android 2.2 is concerned. For android 2.3 we have racht, jepelea, owain and the lates miniCM7 port, which is, to say, not quite ready for daily use yet

Then cyanogenmod , but we have the fxp team
Then stock based , we have many roms and amazing devs like team , thjap and wolf break
Then miui , but there are many out there by oodie , robertberma , cobra to and a1exander
May be I'm not required any more ????
But still need ideas
I think u must join zdzihu in ICS rom
Yeah a stable fully working ICS would be very good. Zdzihu is abroad and have not enough tools and time there so any dev helping would speed up the Development alot. I think 4.0 is very good and we all should help with our knowledge to get it working.

I know ICS is amazing
But I don't quite have the knowledge to cook drivers etc.
I can't even download the android source code at the stupid Internet speed I have ...
All can do is mod
If I knew driver coding I would surely help him

I haven't change the stock ROM, since it was released (I used to flash froyo and eclair roms once a week, now Kernels only).
Simply in my opinion, stock SE rom is finer than any MIUI or AOSP roms
Why don't you develop a new more advanced kernel for 2.3.7 - 4.0.1. Many believe that the 2.6.29 Kernel is holding things back.

2.6.32.9 and has it booting so its kinda unnecessary at the minute
Maybe just make your AOSP perfect
The only thing missing from x10 right now is sense... I know you've tried it and its hard but there are ppl out there who have had it working on x8 sgs2 and other devices, maybe get some advice and give it another shot?? The amount of testers will be huge if you get it working mate
