Hi everyone, hope you can help me. I have flashed quite a few roms (nand) and all with the latest radio yet i have the same problem over and over again. Everything in the roms works,(well, except for the usual glitches) except that when i make a phone call the screen goes blank which is what i expect in call but it won't turn back on again after or if i have to use the dial pad.
Is it me doing something wrong??? Any help would be recieved with thanx

edit.... the only way it seems i can recover is to either plug in a usb or pull the battery??

edit 2.. Just flashed wm6.5 back on to it and screen works as it should... flashed 2 different android nand roms and problem is back??
Does no one else have this issue?? i MUST be doing something wrong!

i have an htc p 3300, actually used to have... becasuse;
i have tried to upgrade to wm 6.0... no problem seems to appear for the first two days... but then, suddenly screen gone black... i have tired to reboot it but no way... i took the battery away for a while... then it worked... i downgraded to 5.0... but the same problem still exists... now the situation is; if i remove battery for a while, it works; both in bootloader, and normal wm 5.0... i uspl it, flash new rom... but the common things such as 260-270 errors etc... a few times i succeeded to flash new rom... it worked again.. but then screen goes black as if it was broken... it is freezing and getting fade to black...
any body could help me???? i've been working for 3 months.... i bought a new kaiser plus a new iphone... but i miss my arteMISS
hate to say it but in this situation I'm inclined to think that it is a hardware issue.
Sorry you have this issue. I have a service manual for my Wizard/Prodigy.
There may be a way for you to put your ppc into bootloader by using the buttons, and then reflash the rom.
I once had a malfunction flashing the rom and that fixed it. on mine it was [Camera +Reset+release camera] i don't know if that might work, but it is worth a try to put your phone into bootloader first. also, you should remove the battery and hold the power button for a few to make sure that the ram is completely wiped. Flash the official rom and see if that worx.

I have read and read and read. I have "bricked" my phone in the past and fixed it. I have used, tested, and flashed many roms from this site (Thanks to all cooks for their work!) but I still consider myself somewhat 'new' to troubleshooting.
I woke up this morning to make some important phone calls today and as luck would have it, my phone was stalled again. It's been doing that for a few weeks now. My last flash was Open Touch 5.0 UL I believe (either that or 5.2 biggy) and it has been working great except for the occasional freeze.
EDIT: Forgot to add, the actual problem is now it won't boot up after it froze this morning. Just sits at the boot screen
So I've tried my other methods of fixing it... /edit
Except this morning nothing is working. I have tried flashing with Orig. T-mobile ruu, tried SD flashing with the RUU_signed.nbh, tried restarting the computer, phone, removing battery and sim... NOTHING! When trying the sd flash (which I've never done before today, it reads and tells me to push the down button but then goes to bootloader screen and just sits there. With the RUU I'm getting err 300 but I'm using the SAME RUU (4.10...) that I've used in the past to reflash my phone AND tried the new one (4.26...)
Possible problem: Does it matter what kind of usb cable you use? I don't have the normal one I use as I am not home but I figured usb is usb...
I've read about it being a motherboard issue, how common is this?
I've read somethings about MTTY, would this apply to me??
Please help, anyone who has any suggestion, I'll try it!!

Thats basically what mine did. The colors would get messed up and no matter what button i pressed it would not do anything. My advice to you edrift, is BACK UP YOUR STUFF NOW and reflash it asap if you can still reboot. I can get into my phone at all now.

As the title says, I have an Elf & when you press the power button (which is meant to turn the screen on and off) it shuts the device off instantly.
I first tried doing a hard reset
Then I tried another rom, to see if it was to do with the OS
& then I tried two other roms.
Ive still got the same problem.
Thinking of taking it back to the place I got it.
Anyone got any thoughts on any solution before I take it back?
Im thinking its a hardware problem that I cant really solve.
which spl are you using? I had a similar prob when i upgraded my rom to 6.1, but aftr using 3.07 spl, problems were gone..
I was using 3.07, but it doesnt matter now.
I took it back to the shop (with all accessories etc) and they replaced it for me. I feel bad about hastling them.
I took them an Elf, but apparently they have given me a Elfin, but on their system, they both just come up as p3450
But it works! thats the main thing.
and its gold and shiny.
Maybe somebody know how to solve this problem without turn elf back to the shop?)

I had exactly this problem before I knew I have an Elfin.
I flashed Elf Roms on my Elfin, that caused the problem.
It boots regularly, but it will do a soft reset every X
minutes. Then I flashed an Elfin Rom and everything
works fine ^^
Maybe I'm wrong, but i think its Elf. It has 64Ram & 128 Flash, or they may not correctly view after flash or i dont understand differences?
It boots regulary every X minutes because it goes to sleepeng mode if device is not using. If this option off, it will not boot by its own, only if i press power button(

I've managed to break my HD2.
I was in ANDROID and shut down the phone over A. since then:
It's stuck on the white boot screen with the HTC logo (without any numbers in the left low corner).
No usb connection, no further sign of hope.
Hard reset, battery out -> nothing seems to help.
Do you got an idea how to get my HD2 working?

2.10 radio (Vodafone Germany)

Get into the bootloader mode ! do a task 29 format ..once it is completed again get into the bootloader mode and then flash the rom u were using ! cheers
I've managed to get into the bootloader mode and perform task 29.
Right now I'm tryin to upload artemis 24 to my phone but its either stuck at 0% or somewhere between 35%-60%. never came further than that AND it always takes awefully long!
EDIT: now its always 0%. I'm flashing with SSPL_RUU.exe
Do you got an idea how I'm able to fix that?

ok ..do one thing ..enter bootloader ..perform task 29 again ...then again bootloader ...change ur radio to 2.07.50. ...u will find this radio in the energy rom thread ..once u have flashed the radio ...enter bootloader again and flash the latest energy rom .:. forget abt the artemis rom for now ..do this and then tell me

Thats awesome ! ..good ! always use energy roms they are much more stable and much better and perfect in itself ,artemis is just like the stock rom and has its own benifits ! welcome anytime ! cheers
My HTC HD2 is not reacting when i touch the screen!!

I have an HTC HD2... i have 3 months since i bought it... ever since the phone was working awsome... but like 3 weeks ago the phone started working really slow.. so i decided to do a factory reset to solve the problem... after the phone was rebooted it worked about 10 min perfectly fine.. then it locked as it usually dose (when its not in use).. but when i tried to unlock the phone,the screen was not reacting.. the problem is NOT that the screen dose not display.. the problem is that when i pass my finger throgh the screen to unlock,it dosnt work.. its like freezing... i tried to upgrade the ROM but it still gives me the same problem!!!
Is there a way i can fix this problem??? if there is i would really apreciate youre help!!! Thanks...

i`ve got a problem with my touchscreen, after installing SD card distribution of Android, few restarts later my touchscreen stpped to respond every time when my device is locked, and i have to restart it.
I tried to flash new rom - nothing happend
H-E-L-P !
remove sd card delete the partitions and format - use Easeus free edition for this
Then boot the phone - reun task 29 from your pc then reread the flashing instructions for the rom of your choice and try again - ensure the rom supports your version og HD2 whatever that may be
All done, and doesn`t work. I`m wonderig if is possible, that is malfunction of touchscreen, because it have been changed after it was broken.
i'm having the same issue. after it goes into its first lock screen the touch screen input doesn't work. i've flashed the ROM and also task29 the sucker. i've reverted back to stock ROM too. I'm not running android or even try to install from SD.

I have a HD2 with android on it.. nand version.. so it runs without sd card..
The phone works fine.. but when you lock it.. the screen doesnt respond anymore.. its running miui at the moment, so i can unlock the lockscreen.. but still the screen doesnt respond..
i see more people having this issues, so i hope to find a solution..

I made few times task29 wipe cache/dalvik but still the same
Yesterday I try install the orginal WWE 6.5 ROM but nothing change...
Maybe is hardware issue ? Few times with android rom my leo was very hot and maybe something burn inside ? or its stupid idea but who knows

Sure it's hardware: replacing touchscreen is your best choice!
But is this because of android on hd2? or do other people with stock phones also see this problem?
Hd2 is already gone here.. but i think its a good thing to know for the scene..

It's a wellknown (hardware) problem for HD2, not related to software(android/wm/wp/whatever).
SO my LEO came back from service, there is a part list that they changed:
- 54h20178-00M pre-assy key, key FPC, UF-KS, w/o Reg
- 74H01549-00M Chassis Pre-assy, black, stainless steel, MLRB81
- 76H04078-00M tape, FPC connector, kapton, MLRB81
- 83H00294-01 change 83H00233-01, 83H00294-03, 62H00065-B1M Sub-assy to 82H

Okay, so i just bought my 6th HD2, and this one got the lockscreen problem as well. If i lock the screen using the red power button and try to wake it up with the same red power button i found out that it doesn't work. I tried everything but i think i found a sort of workaround for the touchscreen problem.
1. Lock the screen as you normally do, with the red power button.
2. Wait at least more then 6 seconds with the screen off.
3. Now push the VOLUME UP button to make the device wake up.
4. Profit!
5. If it doesn't work, go back to 1 and try again.
I found out that if it works 1 time it will work multiple times in a row.
I'm on NAND but i think it works on SD aswell.
