Anyone know how to get in this two modes?
I've tried every key combination and none work.
turn the phone on while holding the back button
Doesn't work.
adb reboot bootloader ?
Just reboot the device but not to recovery mode or fastboot mode.
back button while pluggin usb from off doesnt give you fastboot but semc device.
can x10 do fastboot realluy?
Maybe it has to be rooted first...
How to get your phone into Safe Mode
Turn the phone off
Power the phone back on
When it vibrates, press and hold the left menu button until it boots up and says SAFE MODE in the bottom left corner of the screen

I tried this method, it did show "safe mode" but it will be automatically restard when I unlucked the screen.....
Mines booted into Safe Mode. What's it do?

Bricked my GF's X10 by accident! HELP!
HELP! Using same process as I did with my own X10 last weekend, I tried to get the new Branded Dual Touch update onto my GF's X10. I got repeated update process failed right at end of process. I kept retrying including closing everything else and nothing. On 4th try, Icon on phone screen of Triangle with exclamation mark in it over top of picture of dead phone
I can't even get to repair mode Can't get to safe mode either
No safe mode, no recovery! no repair!
What can I do to get it to work again?

You can flash with another old firmware.

While that may work, I tried something else that looked promising but failed.
I uninstalled SEUS and installed latest. Chose option Factory Reset & Update;
Right at end of process, I get error screen:
The Update was unsuccessful
The installation failed
Please disconnect the phone and make sure that the battery is fully charged before trying again. If the problem persists, please contact support.'

I will take it to retailer tomorrow and this will form more on my case for service provider to give me new hardware.

Hi!
Try this method:
1. Download the newest FlashTool
2. Download the 1.6 firmware
3. Rename the boot.sin to kernel.sin
4. Flash the 1.6 firmware with FlashTool (the exclamation mark remains)
5. Update the phone with SEUS
I succeeded with this method.

Solved
Safe Mode didn't work, Repair didn't work, Factory Reset & Update also failed. What I did to finally solve it: I did a clean new install on PCC & SEUS on my laptop instead of desktop. 3 failures and for no apparent reason it finally worked on 4th attempt

I have make an update via xRecovery, a x10 homescreen, the update was successful, and I reboot my phone the sony ericsson logo apears and the CM mod logo appear but freezes, and i reboot my phone again and want to boot into xRecovery and nothing happens as it does not hold the back key!
PLEASE HELP ME !
You could reflash your phone using SEUS, PCC or Flashtool...

what version is your arc and what method did you use.....OTA or PC companion..

Did you have sufficient battery when you were updating (ie at least 50%)? What were you trying to update it to/from?
I suggest you use SEUS and flash the latest 2.3.4 ROM (4.0.2.A.0.42)
If it was ota and your bootloader is unlocked then see the unbrick thread.

no led conneted to AC nor to PC.
Phone vibrate if I keep pushing the power button but nothing else happens...
Of course no phone detection un PC companion...

Remove the battery, wait a few seconds, then put it back. Test if it starts.
Leave phone charging on PC for a while (30 mins), then try to start phone with connected USB.
If your phone start, but allways shows 0% on battery, then you have the infamous 0% battery issue.
Problem quickly solved using this post even with locked bootloader.

I was flashing a new kernel and then after reboot the phone got stuck at the LG logo. I couldn't and still can't get into recovery-mode. I tried this this and that. But nothing worked.
I can get into emergencymode though, so i tried this page, i have flashed a couple of firmware kdz-files in emergencymode. Some got errors, but the only that changed after that i got to "moving" LG logo (after i hard resetted the phone again after flashing). And when i plug the phone in my laptop i get a battery-icon. Nothing more...
I am at a loss! Can someone help me?
eeuh after like 15 times i got into CWM! Now restoring a backup, fingers crossed...

update: i got into CWM and then i tried to restore data. I got one error that restoring cache didnt work. Now the phone is in a bootloop...:silly: after the lg-logo and after the cyanogenmod logo i get into android, but when the message comes "android is being upgraded" and "starting apps" (dont know if this is exactly the same in english, but in dutch it says "Android wordt bijgewerkt" and "Apps starten"), the phone restarts itself and the process starts all over again...
Strange thing is now, i cant get in CWM again! Its really bugging me.....

Can you enter emergency mode?
If yes, use lg official b2capp program and flash again everything by your IMEI.

yes, i can get into emergencymode. But the B2Capp program freezes after it tries to find an update... Now trying LG PCsuite...
[edit] LG PC Suite cant find the phone. Now back to kdz-files...
ok, im at a dead end:
- i can get in emergencymode, not in recovery;
- i can install kdz-files from laptop with the phone in emergency-mode, but only the official kdz-files are installed without errors. All other options for installing firmware from a pc fail, i cant get it installed (b2capps) or i can but the program doesn't recognize the form (lg pc suite). Flashing new CWM from laptop failed also.
- even with kdz-files installer android doesn't go past second boot screen (the live one). I got past it once, but i cant repeat the process. i got to CWM then, but when i tried to restore a backup it got in a bootloop. After that all attempts getting past bootscreen have failed.
I got my old phone back, but if somebody has a idea how to revive the LG i'll appreciate it! Right now i'm considering it bricked.
Try To reflash it with LG Software update tool (not PC suite) in emergency mode (voldown and plug in USB) if this won't work i can't help you

Yesterday, i got a problem with my LG. I wanted to change the Rom and after i finished the procedure, i got and LG Logo Loop

Normaly, i can change the Rom again by Hard Reseting, but when i press the 3 buttons, nothing happens.
When i connect the phone to the PC, i don't even got the sound that Win8 does when a phone is pluged in, that means that the phone isn't recongnized by the PC, and i allready installed all the Drivers.
I can't enter Emergency mode, when i press the buttons, nothing happens too.
My phone wasn't rooted so i don't have CWM.
I tried LG Support Tool, KDZ Software update, but as i said, the phone isn't recongnized, so i can't do anything.
Some people on forums adviced Medusa Box, but when i launch the app, i got as a message : Card init failed ..
So this is it.
I hope someone can help me. The phone isn't mine, so i'm little afraid of this loop .. Some people on forums said that this is a Hard Break, others said that this is Soft break, other also said that this is a Dalvik Cache Loop ..

mAke sure you have install all LG Software on your computer, like usb driver the important one
then download stock rom for your device
and flash it through KDZ Software update,
Try instaling drivers on some win7 pc/laptop, then try to revive the phone via kdz, because win8 sometimes has problems with drivers etc,
Btw which procedure were you using to change the rom?

Try to remove battery and connect the phone to the pc, hold volume + and - (between + and -, the middle) and the power button, this will works to get emergency mode, got same problem when tried to flash, still have the problem as you, logo loop with this stupid sound

Yes, it work, i'm finaly in the Emergency Mode ! My mistake was to press Power and Volume - or +, not the middle ..
Now that i'm in the Emergency mode and i don't want to get in any trouble again, which rom do you advise me to instal ? and with what method ?

Download the stock rom (original) for your phone, must know which version there is a lot of version ( V10C, V10G, V10E ...)
Use Kdz updater, if the App crash check compatibility and choose windows XP, in KDZ updater use the mode 3GQCT and phone mode DIAG, browse for the stock rom in the KDZ FILE and click Launch software update.
When i flashed the stock rom i got the loop, so i tried to hard reset it and it worked for me (power + menu + volume down or up i forgot)
Try to hard reset before flash if it doesn't work, flash it.
