[Q] No Roms?

Isnt this phone wide open now for making Roms?
I cant make my own ROM, but I really love to test differents Roms.

I understand your enthusiasm, I too await improved software to really show off this devices capabilities. But if you look around the threads you will see that there are some talented people working on the development of recovery methods for the Arc and also some people working on Cyanogen ROM development, so it is only a matter of time; be patient my young jedi...

Well, I just thougth that all problems with X10 and not cracking the bootloader.
Now everything is open? Or have I misunderstood something?

There is no recovery partition on the Arc in which to install recovery software (such as clockwork mod) so although chefs can cook new ROMs I believe they would have to be re-installed with every update (someone may want to confirm this). As I said above there is a thread for Cyanogen ROM development so it would be worth keeping an eye on that

OMG...
CyanogenMod is full name of standalone ROM, not Mod for Cyanogen ROM.
I'm porting that ROM from Desire HD.

why there isn't perfect rom with sense 2.1/3.0?

Hy, i look for long time many rom with sense 2.1/3.0. But all this rom are some bug(camcoder,ecc.).
Why no one have have just create a perfect rom without important bugs?

If just creating a bug free rom is so easy you should try and make one. These bugs on gingerbread sense roms exist because we have no kernel sourcecode for the hardware that is used in our hd2. If htc releases the kernel sourcecode for the desire gingerbread rom we maybe can erase those bugs but this is not sure and the code isn‘t available yet. Making a perfect rom isn‘t as easy as you think.

i think that a perfect rom is very diffuclt to create,but i remember that there are a lot of rom with old sense 2.0 without any import bug,so i want know why with the new sense there is al lot of problem

Did you really think your question through before asking it? Would nobody have made a perfect ROM if it were possible? Also, your question could be rephrased to 'Why are there still glitches with Sense 2.1/3.0 ROMs, which would have been a much more sensible question and, had you searched that using the search bar, you would have seen countless threads with the same question and the same answers.

hey guys im new at this and not very good in english because i am from germany but nevermind.
I wanted to flash the ICS Primo sense 4,0 rom and it told me my paration had to be 5/450/5 but after i did this and i wanted to go to the recovery it said
Spinning around and something like that
how do i fix this

If you are new at this, forget about flashing ICS Primo Sense 4.0
It's an alpha version, with many things not working.
Get something more stable like CM9, IceCreamTosti or whatever.

+1 to both giving more information and flashing a much more stable ROM. If you flash NexusHD2 or IceCreamTosti you'll be much happier. ICS without Sense (i.e. the ones I mentioned) are much more stable and faster than that Alpha ROM. There's also Paranoidandroid which will allow you to switch between Tablet UI and Phone UI, it's very interesting.

[Q] can someone teach me how to build a ROM

My friend owns an samsung galaxy tab 4 t-230 and would love to upgrade it into a more pure android. Since i kind of got into android ROMs and there are no AOSP or CM roms for the tab 4 t-230 this would be a great chance for me to build a AOSP or CM rom. I have ubuntu 14.10 and a decent enough pc with 16 gb of ram and an i7. If anyone could help me abit of how to build a AOSP or CM rom for the device i would be verry thankfull.

Relevant post - some starting info, and check out the CM wiki he links to. Also, and this is a very basic step, but if you've never done this before it can be informative: download a rom zip file (preferably but not necessarily a stock-based kitkat rom for this device) and open it up in either 7zip or WinRar, check out the layout and structure, and familiarize yourself with the updater-script. (Actually you can do that with a firmware tar file too). Sorry I can't give you any more useful info, not a dev, definitely not a rom designer, just a guy who knows a fair amount of android stuff.
Also don't let the tone of that post discourage you; the poster was answering a guy who was basically asking about the feasibility of building a brand new rom for the sole purpose of being able to use one particular proprietary Samsung app. Yes it is difficult, but still doable, and you say you're motivated...

Well.. I would ask moonbutt74 for more info regarding commands and such, probably more info than I can give but.. keep in mind your going to have to download about 20+GB of source code and all that. Also a bunch more knowledge of more things I don't remember. But it is alot

Well I decided to revisit this thread. Never thought I would come so far. I really want to say thanks to all of you who supported me and still support me. Everyone has a beginning and here was mine. Now I am actually there where I really wanted to be. Releasing a custom kernel and finally work on a custom ROM! Thank you XDA!

I'm amazed on how much people learn and achieve as well as myself. I've seen people who were total newbies then later built custom recoveries, CM12, Mods, Roms etc. Anyway good luck on working your rom!

Also I thank you my life for introducing me to moonbutt74. He learned me everything from how to work with custom kernels to Roms. Sadly he decided to stop developing a few Werks ago but he's doing it for his own good. I still will mention @moonbutt74 on my future projects because he really is the one who changed me from confused to knowing what is actually going on. So thanks allot !

How many developers working on Ascend XT?

I know there is Custom Rom thread but it's kinda outdated and most devs updates are spread into different threads.
But my main question is:
Who are currently working on custom roms?
Which version and base? RR, Lineage, MM or Nougat etc....
Obviously it will not ask any ETA... Im patiently waiting for any rom not stock based. And hope the best for the devs can complete the task.

yes there is in my thread where i made for people to toss in ideas etc and posting what progress i make on roms

As explained before, there already is a thread with information about the Ascend XT development status. Therefore, this thread got closed.
