Webcam software + streaming on your 8525?

Searched around a bit and tried countless peices of webcam software but haven't found anything quite like what I would like yet.
I have a microsoft webcam hooked to my pc. I would like to run some webcam software on my pc that makes a streaming video file that I can open from my 8525 streaming video player.
If I could stream this video file from my PC to my linux webserver and then connect to my linux webserver from a webpage or from my 8525 to stream the video that would be even better.
Anyone seen anything like this?
I use this... Trackercam. I'm able to use any browser and view the webcam at home... haven't tested it on a ppc browser but theoretically it should work as long as you have a decent connection.

Oh, and it's FREE.
There's a program called dorgem (http://dorgem.sf.net I think) that runs a webcam (so it might not be exactly what you wanted, but it might be less hassel). It doesn't exactly do streaming video, but it can upload an image via ftp or HTTP POST and refresh every few seconds if required. It can also run a local HTTP Daemon which allows you to access the image on request (using PHP or similar).
Also free, but doesn't include the base control stuff that TrackerCam's software does (although you could consider that a good thing).
look for WebCamPlus .. www.ateksoft.com
Orb does the job, leave it running on your PC and with Version 2.0 you can view webcams hooked up to the PC.

Can't play any flash videos

Hi,
I've just installed the latest WM6 rom on my 8525 and also installed Flash player 7 along with the java addons. I've tried viewing videos from youtube and mtv from both internet explorer and opera mini 4 beta 3 but any video i click it always says flash player not installed and click here to go to adobe etc.... Can someone help me configure it so I can play flash videos? thanks
cmon, somebody has to have an answer for this. I can't load any videos on standard pages for myspace, mtv, youtube, etc. it says javascript is either turned off or you dont have the right player. I downloaded flashplayer 7. Running mini opera 4 beta 3 and pocket IE as well as picsel browser.
Mobile browsers not designed for video
Neither of the browsers you are trying are capable of displaying flash based videos. The Opera Mini will probably never support them because it is a Java based browser for use on most any phone. There is a Windows Mobile Opera that is in beta, last I heard, that claims to support flash based videos, however the only thing I could get it to do was crash my 8525, forcing me to soft reset, at which time I then uninstalled it completely. As you will see in the instructions at one of the links below, there is one more file you can download that will play the videos, which seems to be accomplished through the link from internet explorer triggering the thirdparty app to open and strat trying to play the video.
You could try the instructions here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=326225, however I have not tried them and can not confirm for you if they work.
The way I currently play these type files is using a program called AvotMV. AvotMV has a internet browser type feel to it, and when you play the videos it will automatically play them "full" screen (in portrait mode). If you want to try AvotMV, you can download it for free from the developers here here http://www.avotmedia.com/
the tcpmp and flashbundle works beautifuly. especially on a highspd connection. the newest version givesthe choice dowloading or streaming it. You will have to unistall flash7 as it will clash with flashbundle plugin. I posted awhile back if some could figure out how to get them to work together or at least independently on different browsers because the tmpcp flash plugin will only play videos not other flash content.
That explains it...
I have the official flash 2.1 from adobe for WM5/6 which allows me to use one of the spinning cube flash controllers. Would be nice if someone could figure it out because this does not look like it will work for me until a fix is made.

problem viewing java and flash based websites like youtube and camgirlslive

i searched the web but i could not find a way to make thetouch hd opera to work...i can not view camgirlslive and youtube and all the other websites like that....the only way is to use skyfire browser....does anyone know anyway to use opera or mini to work properly...
The opera browser is working it is just that that there is not a windows mobile flash plug-in capable of viewing that content at the moment.
However, adobe has said they will be bringing a full flash capable soon to the platform (click here).
Skyfire at the moment is the only one that will have reasonable flash support. For java based website's try Opera Mini at mini.opera.com.

HTTP stream and Dreambox

Hi to all.
Little retrospection:
I am member for 3 years and have device: HTC TYTN,Samsung i780, HTC Touch Pro and I like forum..so many custom ROM, aplication and people help when you have problems-questions.
For 8 months I've been away form this forum. In december last year I buy Nokia N900 and I like it so much (I don't want to compare phones, platforms, software....etc)
Now I decide to jummp in new platform after Windows mobile and Maemo5.
I Like Android and Galaxy S(super fast and full with potentiality)
In home i have Dreambox TV reciever and combination with Home computer and software - Knots2 (http://wiki.maemo.org/Knots2)
With this software(server) I can change program on Dreambox reciver, stream TV, share(stream) pictures and video from computer and most important i can make different streaming profile depending of the internet speed( 3G or when I use WIFI)
In Nokia N900 there is two ways of operating:
1. From web browser
2. Application(someone make this beautiful application)
In Galaxy S I still can use web browser to control server(knot2).
The problem is:
Dreambox and Knots2 are on VLC fondation and I can't make VLC stream over RTSP protocol.
Can someone advise me, Android video player with HTTP capability.
If you can help me to solve this problem, Galaxy S will completely replace N900 in the way I use phone ;-)
Thanks in advance.
ps. This method can use to wathch from another computer too.
Moderator, i don't know if it's legal to post link to another forum.
