Installation of rom with and without DAF.exe - HD2 Android Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting and Genera

Hi,
I installed android 2.2 (NAND) on my HD2 yesterday. I did this using MAGLDR first and then an unknown android 2.2 rom with a DAF.exe inside it. Now I want to update 2.2 to CyanogenMod 7 (2.2.3). But the CyanogenMod folder doesn't contain a DAF.exe file.
How can I install it?

Flash desired CWM and then follow instructions from your ROM thread.
I prefer SD-files recovery version ;-)
Thanks

Hi guys,
I have a big problem. I want to install this ROM on my HD2, but if i download this file i cant find the DAF.exe so how do I install it now? I already installed HardSPL 2.0.HSPL and I can enter the bootloader screen from MAGLDR. But if i do USB Flasher what must i do on the PC then i only downloaded some mapping with files in it but no .exe files or something like that. Hopefully some1 can help me.
I confused realy hard
I found a old DAF.exe file on my PC but if i use that he install a old android rom i want a new one how do i fix this?

you have to flash clockworkmod in magldr. then you can flash the rom within cwm. i bet that this is explained in your rom thread. please read the stuff before you flash something.

[Q] In need of some help with install

I've flashed a bunch of WinMo custom ROM's, but this is my first time attempting to install a NAND build. I received my phone back from warranty repairs last week so I'm currently running a stock 3.14 ROM. I've got a stock 1.66 ROM that I'm planning on installing from the SD card to get a SPL that is compatible with HSPL. I want to run a Task29 before I install a NAND Android ROM (MJD's latest build, I'm thinking), but I'm not entirely sure how I should go about this.
This is as far as I've gotten as far as the install procedure goes:
1. Flash the 1.66 ROM through SD card
2. Install HSPL
3. ???
As I said, I want to Task 29 the phone before I install 'droid to make sure everything runs smootly. Can anyone list out the rest of the steps I need to do to and what's the best app to Task29 the phone for me?
Flash a radio 2.08 or above. e.g 2.15.50.14
Only flash 2.xx.50.xx radios btw, if you have a EU hd2. For T-Mo HD2, i'm not sure on the requirements sorry.
Either way, search it up, snoop around the forum, look at stickies, you'll prolly find a guide or something that tells you the radio requirement for T-MO devices.
Then flash MAGLDR, it's done by flashing a regular rom through usb.
Then download your NAND build of choice, and install. Remember to install as an administrator.
Plz read this great guide http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=893948
I don't need to have a WinMo ROM present when I install MAGLDR on the phone, right? I'll be able to install it from the boot loader as long as I have a compatible radio on the phone, correct?
So right now the install goes like this, someone correct me if I'm wrong
1. Flash the 1.66 ROM through SD card
2. Install HSPL
3. Task 29/Install .50 radio
4. Install MAGLDR via boot loader
5. Install a NAND Android ROM via MAGLDR
6. Profit!

Misleading guide, please help me

Hello,
I am following these instructions: quazen.com/shopping/consumer-...d-on-hd2-nand/[/url]
They have told me to download this rom: hotfile.com/dl/107403482/000fc93/full_rafdroid_hd_ext_3r2.zip.html
Now that I am on step 4 I am supposed to run setup.exe from the rom, but it doesn't have any setup.exe file in it, only 3 folders titled (boot, META-INF, system). I am on MAGLDR right now in USB flasher mode and dont know what to do. Please help me. Thanks

yea that guide is garbage looks like its for the dft flash version
most roms now use cwm to flash so you might wanna do some reading thru this section
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=905841
How do I get this off my device now? Or do I not need to remove it
enter magldr, flash a diferent dft rom,
or
enter magldr, flash clockwork, enter magldr, enter clockwork, flah a zip rom (recommend you learn this method)
I tend to stay away from guides that all the links are just hotmegaupfile type links. if you want magldr, surely best to get it from the magldr thread, same with roms, hspl, everything.
safety first.
Yea just follow guides from xda only.
I think that http://quazen.com/shopping/consumer-electronics/how-to-get-android-on-hd2-nand/ should be closed.
That have nothing to do with XDA and so its not have any support here.

Help please!

Hi, I am new to this, and I have downloaded a couple nand roms off of here, tried following all the steps and right now im in maglr bootloader mode...every guide i see says to click on the dft or daf file and run it in the rom folder, but i dont have one in any of the roms i downloaded all i have is a boot folder, and a system folder....they dont have any install.exe or dft files or any applications for that matter in them....any help would be greatly appreciated THANKS!!!
sounds like you downloaded a CWM zip file which can only be installed via clockwork mod

[Q] Downgrade V3.14 -> v1.66 necessary for Android Typhoon 2.3.7?

I put
TyphooN_CM7_v3.7.1-MAGLDR.zip
on the SD card and
used the program
"HD2 Android NAND Toolkit".
When using
"Install MAGLDR"
the process stucks at 0%
Do I need to downgrade my ROM version from v3.14 to a older ROM version?
Thank you very much for your reply.
Regards,
Wim
First, you need HSPL in order to install magldr
Thanks.
I manage to find HSPL4, and with this SPL3.03.000 was no problem. Now I could install Android om my HTC HD2 with WM3.14 installed.
