HTC Sensation - Droid Incredible General

I hate HTC there making new phones every month or every other month which
has new software which is freakin awesome and makes my phone look totally
out of date every time new sense software comes out. I love my droid
incredible and I really want the HTC Sensation rom ported to this. It seems like
no one cares much about the incredible anymore because when the Sensation
rom dump and desire s 2.3 rom dump came out most people posted forms about getting that rom ported only for nexus 1, desire z, and mytouch 4g. We need to get more devs to work on Droid Incredible roms. Im not trying to sound pushy but we need this.
CAN SOMEONE PLEASE HELP ME PORT THE DESIRE HD VERSION OF THE SENSATION ROM TO DROID INCREDIBLE? THIS WILL GET THINGS STARTED SO PEOPLE WILL WANT TO CONTRIBUTE TO GET THIS ROM FULLY PORTED. HERE'S A LINK TO THE DESIRE HD VERSION OF SENSATION ROM. PLEASE HELP US GET THIS PORTED.

If its possible, someone will figure it out, of they havent moved onto a tbolt. Its just life, phones get out dated like ex gfs.

What do you mean same specs? The Desire HD has 768 MB of RAM (vs. 512 MB in the EVO) and a 2nd Generation Snap Dragon made with a more power efficient 45nm process (vs. 65nm) and significantly better GPU. Not that any of that will prevent the newer sense from running on the EVO, just saying.
I doubt that we will see the newer Sense soon. There's already a new OTA leak going around and that didn't include the new Sense, so it's likely that we won't see it on the next update and who know's how long another update will come after that.
I'm sure the Evo will get it by official or ported means.. its still sprints top device besides the epic, so I'm sure they'll try to keep us updated and happy.

I say we will get it. Our phone is more then capable of handling it (our cpu speed is faster then the new desires). Even if our phones arent the newest HTC devices on Sprint network I bet it will still get it.
It wouldn't make any "sense" no pun for HTC to not update our sense UI. Sprint does not need the new Desire HD it already has one and only a small internal update of the 205 GPU will give us the GPU power the Sammy Hummingbird's have if not better.
We are just in the upswing of more to come so don't be mad what you bought today is outdated in a couple of months. Unless you really need it for game the 1Ghz you have right now in the EVO will handle most apps thrown its way. They will also get better with efficient coding for the apps as well over time so that will help with speeds.
Can't wait for November when I pick up the Desire HD Google voice/text has unified my phones over CDMA so I can play with my phones and not miss a beat. It's like having a SIM CARD virtually
So when I pick up the GSM phone it will get Google Voice/Text on it and all will be right with the world.
IPHONE who? bleh...
I think we are gettin it being HTC evo is HTC's best android device in the states...
I was hoping for Android 3.0
I can see HTC not having a problem giving it to us, but Sprint never seems to be to trust worthy. Hopefully it will just be ported and we can flash it or the awesome devs here will include it in their ROMS.

Hi all , bit of a dilemma .. x10 or HTC wildfire ........

Xda mobile
wildfire. All i have to say.
I had a x10 but sold it and got a wildfire.
The x10 is nice but no custom roms at all as the bootloader is not cracked. Also the x10 has a 4" screen but no multi touch, which for certain stuff suck, i use the snes emulator for example and it is unusable on the x10 as are most good games. The wildfire is very moddable wearas the x10 is not. Lastly the wildfire is close to getting cyanogen rom for it, it will never happen on the x10 and wildfire is close to getting froyo and the x10 has not even got 2.1 yet.
Its upto you but for me the wildfire is much more versatile then the x10 will ever be(imo)
Cheers for that .....widfire it is then .........

I vote for Wildfire. I'm pleased with it.
This little phone (wildfire) is just amazing. Today I visited a local store to see what is available. There were many phones from Nokia to Samsung, including the wonderkid Samsung Galaxy S. I dont know what it was. I knew Galaxy S had all yhe bells and whistles but I would not get it to replace my wildfire. Maybe it was the size, or the touchwiz overlay. But I am very happy with my wildfire ..
So I recommend wildfire

Me and the other half upgraded a month ago, She got the Wildfire and I got the Desire, I have to say, they're both epic devices.
Her wildfire goes a couple of days without a charge and does pretty much everything with ease, and hopefully with 2.2 around the corner, things will only get better. All in all it's a great little device.
I'd recommend the Wildfire over the X10 a) Because I've used the Wildfire a lot, and b) I've not heard great things about the X10 and I've also read on here how much of a pain in the arse they are!

cheers kerman....im getting desire tomorrow and looks like i will be getting the wildfire for my son now
cheers

Incredible vs. D2G

Hello all. Thought I would post this here in the hopes of getting some comments from Incredible owners.
I currently own a D2G but might have the opportunity to trade for an Incredible. Asking for comments here because while I do know my phone well I don't know much about the HTC.
Specifically...
How's the ROM support...currently D2G has one option (Fission) and I am the type that likes to bounce from ROM to ROM to make my phone feel "new" again
The D2G is wicked fast...never any lag in my experience...how about the HTC?
Hardware keyboard is not a concern...I never use it.
I know this is all personal preference but the HTC is coming up on being a year old I think so I'm looking for some honest and forthright OPINIONS here
Thanks for reading

If your worried about having the newest and best stick with your D2G. If you want ROM support go to the Inc. Honestly wait for the Thunderbolt cause that is going to be the Inc's big brother. I expect alot of ROM support for that.

A few friends on mine have the Droid2 and personally I loathe it.
Using the inc is so fast and smooth, plus the huge developer community. But like rich said, the Thunderbolt is coming out soon if you need the latest and greatest

Atrix vs Bootloader issue ...

My iPhone 3GS is dead, time for an upgrade, wanted to jump in the Android world, I found the spec of the Atrix really interesting but the Bootloader issues is really turning me off ... There is usually so much cool stuff out with new ROMS ... I also tend to stay has far has I can from Carrier's crap, so with that bootloader restriction it's pretty a dead project ATM ... I was wondering if we can hope anything in a short time frame (+- 6 months) ?
Thanks
I'm getting an Atrix soon and as excited as I am, I'd probably recommend getting a Nexus S or an HTC phone. You'll get the flagship Android experience with the Nexus S (or 4G if you can wait) or the HTC Sense experience which is what I originally thought Android was all about. With HTC phones though, if you want you can go with an ASOP ROM and go completely stock, or use the HTC Sense framework which really kicks the user experience up.
I'm a bit of a spec junkie but I surprisingly loved the Sense experience my HTC Desire Z provided me with. I previously owned a Sony Xperia X10 which disgusted me and really made my initial Android experience pretty sour.. missed out on Flash, missed out on updates, missed out on a ton of things and had lots of bugs. Stock Android or something HTC would probably be the way to go with the Atrix's bootloader uncertainty.
The devs on these boards are nothing short of amazing, but Motorola's really got this clamped down. I think being an Android virgin you could easily enjoy the Atrix, but stock Android and Sense are really awesome and I think everyone should experience it at least once.
I got an eLocity A7, I loved the snap of Tegra2 and Atrix specs looked really nice. I've been in the Windows Mobile 6 scene and always hated the junk carriers installed on cell phone. I always enjoyed Sense or Stock (6.5 at the time ...).
I'll stay away from Atrix until I see ROM devs ... the Desire HD seemed really nice but I'm also temped by the iPhone 4gs or 5 with the HTC Flyer combo =)
Thx for the input !

You can do just as much much with the atrix as you could with a jailbroken iphone. Coming from an iphone myself the bootloader is not a big deal. Everyone is jealous of my phone including all my iphone and evo friends. Opening up the bootloader would be extra icing on the cake.

Which would argue not a whole lot, hence them not liking iOS and loving Android.
Yes, for the most part you have tons of customization, but without full access you're missing out on kernelsand tthe option ti have a different version of Android all together.

Roms are not the issue. We have roms for the Atrix.

haha that's a great analogy.
I am interested in the Atrix as well, when it comes out. However, I would be interested in flashing a stock gingerbread. As far as I understood the discussion here, the bootloader is closed, which means, if I understand correctly, will avoid the installation of another rom, won't it?

Espresso ROM Finally Coming To The G2 (Desire Z)

Ok, I've Made A Rom Named Espresso ROM For The Droid X. I'm Currently Making It For The Nexus One, Samsung Fascinate, And This Phone. My Plan Was To Get It To All The Galaxy S Varients, Nexus One, Samsung Nexus S, Samsung Droid Charge, HTC My Touch 4G, HTC Droid Incredible, Wildfire, HTC Hero, Original HTC Desire, HTC G2 (Desire Z) And Aria.
When Will Espresso ROM Be Released?
Later This Week.
(If You Search Over On The Droid X Forums, You'll Find My ROMs Including Espresso, & Doubleshot)
If You Want To Test, Please Comment Or Just PM Me.
Also If You Have Any Suggestions Please Tell Me.
well first off the droid x is motorola so its blur and second espresso is from the mytouch 3g slide....so yea dub cheak ur info
Well Ya I Know That. But I Created Espresso Rom Long Before The My Touch 3G Came Out. Back When The Nexus One Came Out At The First Of Last Year.
funny espresso is mytouch 3g slide nexus one is asop sooooo were u get espresso
Because I Was Drinking Espresso When I Got The Idea.
Well thats a smart as$ answer but i will accept
It isn't rom related but I would highly suggest you learn proper rules of capitalization and grammar. The internet at large will take you far more seriously If You Don't Talk Like This Because Not Every Word Needs To Be Capitalized.
