Do you have HardSPL 2.08 and a new 2.**.50.** Radio flashed?
What version of Magldr do you have?
Are you trying to install a Magldr (*.exe) or ClockworkMod (*.zip) Rom?
Please list EXACTLY what you did and what happened as the information you gave doesnt tell us anything.
Mark.

As I was answering you question I realised that i have used the wrong android file, so Now its working... hehe..
The only problem is now the storage on the phone, ther is almost no space on the phone... When I set up active sync on my phon, will the emails take place in the phone or the SD card?

I think the low storage issue is most probably coz of your /system partiton (400mb cfg file?). Now I don't know what size your roms /system cfg file should be (next time link to your rom, makes it easier for us to solve your problem), therefore I can't give an accurate answer right now, but to increase space you either have to find what /system your rom uses and flash cfg accordingly or make an EXT2/3/4 partiton on your sd card and use a2sd.

I have the Desire version on my HD2, and i dont have Apps2SD.
I made partitions on my SD card (FAR32 of 6.5GB and EXT3 of 1GB).
What do you mean with: "use a2sd" and "flash cfg"?

Ok, as far as I can tell this is the rom you are using http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1010498?
Did you follow the exact instructions in post 2? Its seems that you forgot to edit flash.cfg file. Do a fresh install following the guide in in post 2, word by word.

I did not change the flash file..
it says:
misc ya 1M
recovery rrecov|ro|nospr filesize recovery-raw.img
boot yboot|ro 8M
system ya 120M
cache ya 8M
userdata ya|asize|hr allsize
Witch step do I start from?
I used this guide
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1013852

According to your rom.s thread you'd need to edit this line system ya 120M to system ya 150 from your flash.cfg and reflash hope that'll help. One more thing to use sd-ext partition download data2ext from the same page.

I now did it over again, but still have low space..
I think I even have less internal space now...
only 172 mb

Can you explain "to use sd-ext partition download data2ext from the same page." in a way a girl can understand?

That's it, there wont be more than that, maybe if you tweaked the flash.cfg you'd get ~50M more. That's where you sd-ext will come into play, its the same as your internal space but hosted in your SD, and that's where your apps and data will be stored, instead of the actual interal memory.

But how can I tweak that file... so I get more space..
Im so confused...
Sorry for all the stupid questions...

If you implement sd-ext then you don't need the extra space coz your ext2/3/4 will be used instead. As for data2sd, I think the rom you are using has a2sd, which means that if you had setup an ext2/3/4 then a2sd will automatically detect you ext partition and will install all your apps there (ext partition).
In any case here is a link to increase internal memory http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=11189394&postcount=1826, now this is rom specific and I don't know if it'll work with your rom.

Ok I tried to ext sd card to 2048M and chose swap size 0M hope that will work..
MY SD card is 16gb
But it says please wait and have been like this for a long time now..

I did it!!!! Who would have known that a girl could do this!!

[Q] Phone storage full

Hi, I recently installed NAND android build and I'm facing similar problem which I had on SD (this happened to me just 1 out of 3 sd builds). When I want to change my wallpaper (stock walls), I get only few thumbnails and I'm able to set wall only from those which get one. When clicking on those without thumbnails, phone says that my storage is full, although it's a clean and fresh install. Does anybody know what to do about it? Thanks
what build did you install?
NAND is HD2 CoreDroid Desire HD GB V2...and before I used SD MccM 4.5

okay..there has something about the recovery.
different size of ROM use different setting of recovery.
you may decompress the recovery.
for example. Recovery_120M_v3.0.2.4.rar
using TXT to run the (flash.cfg)
comes us:
misc ya 1M
recovery rrecov|ro|nospr filesize recovery-raw.img
boot yboot|ro 5M
system ya 120M
cache ya 10M
userdata ya|asize|hr allsize
not very sure it is exactly same to me.
it say that your storage is full, because of your recovery setting.
assume your ROM is 120MB. but your recovery setting is 400MB. your system is using the space more itself. too much space free from the 400.
same like PC. your disk C is using 390GB from 400GB of your whole disk.
main setting is "system ya 120M"
try to make it small by the size of your ROM.
------------------------------------------------------------------------
if u have reduce the space of system. but still storage full.
try to cut up your sd card to help you phone storage.
cut one GB , and format it as ext2 or ext3 to help your phone.
you know android is running under linux system. and ext2 or ext3 is identified by linux.
so..hope it helps.
I formated my SD in FAT32. Ext 3 was then done in CWM (they say it should be like that) and I used 1024/0 ext 3 partition as they instructed in their guide. Probably just some little mistake during the install process. If there's time tomorrow, I'll try to reinstall it and see what happens.

it would be usefull if you told us exactly which desire hd rom, how you are running it (daf, cwm, sd card), and whether you have an ext partition on your sd card. Oh, and which phone you have, regular or tmous.
Sense roms are big, they take up a big chunk of the nand, so it is almost always essential to use app2sd and/or data2sd. (read the thread for the rom you have to know which it supports)
More accurate info = more accurate help.
rubbish info = rubbish guesswork help.

here is my details..
ROM : LeoRCMix S v.1.5 (RCMixS v.2.0) [Sense 2.1+3.0]
Running using : CWM
Phone : HTC HD2
Im using : TMOUS
I know i have to use app2sd/data2sd.. but im not sure how to config it.. even i tried to do but im struck with boot screen..
ok, so it should only need a 200 meg system partition, so my guess would be that you haven't set up the 1gb ext partition? you can do that through cwm (backup your sd card first, it will get formatted) and
but im not sure how to config it

you dont have to. it does it itself so long as you have the ext partition properly created. I also think that if you DONT have the ext partition set up yet, you will probably need to reinstal the rom after you DO set it up.
So, summary, , , question 1 - do you have an ext partition set up?
(Also, and this causes a lot of confusion, , , when the system uses an ext partition, it DOES NOT show the extra space in the available memory count, but it does get used, , so for example my phone shows 210MB or so free internal space, , , i install a 10MB probgram, that goes down to 200, BUT after i reboot, it goes back up to 210, , because the prog has actually installed to my 512MB ext partition, not the 210 internal space.)

then you are wasting 200 meg, , that rom says in post 1
EU and TMOUS: 200M system + 1GB EXT partition

that means you have 200 meg empty in your system partition, not being used.
Stuff that you install do not get installed to the system partition, nothing (or at least not apps / settings) gets put into the system partition, except the system at installation.
Do a full cwm backup, reflash using a 200MB partition layout, reflash the rom to teh new layout, restore your data and sd-ext partitions from advanced restore (in cwm) and you will recover the 200MB

same problem
i have a nand of 4.1.2 in my hd2 its pacman
it shows system memory only 13mb, i have removed all apps i installed earlier but still no space freed, can i atleast get the same 150mb back which i had earlier i.e any way to wipe all data on it/hard reset it?
is there any way of expanding the memory? because after i have installed 10-15 apps the memory vanished(even though i moved the apps to sdcard using app2sd) does that means i can not install more apps any way??
p.s i am a new user of android dont know how to install new rom etc so please explain the solution in simple steps.

[Q] How can I verify the CWM partition size?

Hi,
First of all I am sorry for the noob question, but how can I verify what is the partition size of Clockworkmod Recovery is creating in my cell phone?
I have a T-Mobile HD2 with MAGL 1.3, Clockworkmod Recovery 3.0.0.1 and Hyperdroid CM7 installed. Under Settings/About Phone/ Mem Info I see 134MB/411MB. Is the CWM partition related with this?
In the past I used the HD Core Droid version 1.5 witch was a very big Android ROM (270Mbytes), now a installed the Hyperdroid witch is very light (67Mbytes). But I just installed the ROM without changes in the CWM layout. Any suggestions about?
Thanks

looks like your partition is set for around 400mb
you can modify the flash.cfg file in cwm by opening it with notepad.
and change the numbers to those recomended by the Rom dev
misc ya 1M
recovery rrecov|ro|nospr filesize MAGLDR_recovery_3.0.2.4-seadersn.img
boot yboot|ro 8M
system ya 400M
cache ya 8M
userdata ya|asize|hr allsize
Thanks for your help. Just a few question.
Where is located the flash.cfg file? So, just changing the parameter system ya from 400M to 150M is enought to release space to install more apllications?
Thanks

u will need to instal everything again and use the toolkit to install the 150 mb partition ... witch will leave about 200mb free ...if u install 120 mb that will leace about 300 mb free ... if u go lower mayve the rom wont boot.
for hyperdroid i used ti flash 100 mb but with 90mb the rom dont boot ...it's advisable to flash the partition set by the dev of any rom...

no, it isnt related at all, thats the memory, the RAM, not the partition size.
there is nowhere as standard that shows you teh size of the system partition (which is what you mean by CWM partition).
You can see the size of the data partition by going setings - storage - internal storage.
to see teh others, get 'super manager' from teh market, open it, and choose file explorer.
now, at teh top of the foldes list, in small writing under where it says 'back up level folder' it gives you details of teh folder you are currently in, ,
so use it to browse into your system folder, and look at the info.
EG mine says 'total 150M used 137.4M, bla blah' because I have a 150Meg system partition, and teh typhoon rom comes to about 137 meg when unzipped.
If i now browse into the cache folder, that info shows 'tot 40M, used 1.1M.....' because i chose a 40meg cache partition.
you can do the same with the sd-ext folder to see how big and how full your EXT partition on the sd card is.
Thanks a lot for all the answers. Now the this thing is getting clear for me.
Thanks guys.

if you mean by choosing settings - app settings - manage apps and choosing to move an app to sd card, thats not how ext works, what that does is takes it FROM the ext partition and puts it in the FAT partition.
The apps should all be set to use internal memory, and the system will put them in the ext partition without you doing anything.

I advise installing Link2SD, I had a similar problem and this program fixed it for me.
Just mount the storage space and then you will be able to create link (that means moving the app to ext partition).
Hope it helps.
i haven't used miui so i can only comment on cm7 roms with a2sd+.
Did you create teh ext yourself? because i have read that if the ext and fat are not in the correct order (i cant remember which should be first, which second), if they arent the correct way around the system wont see the ext.
Have you used an android browser to look at the contents of teh ext? is it REALLY empty?

one other thing is that the internal memory will go down when you instal something, but REALLY the app has gone to EXT, and the internal free memory will go back up after a reboot. Its a free memory display bug. The system just assumes it has used the space up without checking it until after a reboot.
So you install a 20mb app, the internal memory drops 20mb, but after a reboot has gone back up 20mb.
Just a thought.
If you partition your sd card in GPartEd, your FAT32 partition should be first (on the left) followed by your ext3 partition.
Or you could use CWM or even ROM Manager (I think, not 100% sure about ROM Manager) to partition your card.
Try flashing this in CWM Recovery:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=749299&d=1318560772
And then when you reboot, go into your terminal emulator app and type:
su (press enter)
a2sd reinstall (press enter)
It should then say a bunch of stuff, and then your phone will reboot and take a long time to boot back up, because it is moving all your apps to your ext3 partition.
I would really recommend using gparted to partition your card, it's very reliable, gives you the most control over what you're doing, and you can download an iso to make a bootable cd of it if you don't use Linux. Google 'GParted Live CD'. (But why wouldn't you use Linux???)
Do a CWM NanDroid backup before you do any of this, in case your rom is not A2SD compatible and it screws something up. Then you'll be able to revert back to your present state. I can't stress the CWM backup enough, especially because I'm not sure if MIUI roms are A2SD compatible or not. Either way, I think it's worth a shot.
Back your sd card up to your computer before partitioning it, as it will wipe everything from it.
So,I did this: Wiped all and installed rom again,app2sd gui now working (apps are on sd) but i still have a little space left. Only installed apps I really need and i have less then 30% available.
I even linked all apps I could with link2sd app.

You only have a little space left on internal memory or in your ext partition?
You have a EURO HD2, so you're not gonna have a bunch of internal memory no matter what. Your ext won't show up in Settings/Storage/SD Card.
In order to see how much ext space you have left, look in the A2SD GUI app.
How much space is left in each of those? (ext and internal)
If you are using the A2SD that I linked in my previous post, you won't have to use the link2sd app.
It creates the symlinks to the sd ext partition on its own.
How big of an ext partition did you put on your sd card?

what system partition size have you flashed?
what size partition does the rom (you still havent linked to teh rom you flashed so we cant look ourselves) say you need?
because that doesn't count towards internal space, so for example if your rom requires a 150 meg system partition, and you flash a 250meg system partition, you will lose the extra 100mb. you wont be able to use it for apps or data, it will be dead space.

hmm its a 90 meg download, so 150 system should be ample. do you have masses of text messages stored? (your systems 'internal storage' figure is based only on the data partition)

i dont have my phone handy to compare, but what id do next would be go into cwm and do a backup, then reboot into android, and browse to the backup folder and take a look at the size of the data image, which will give you a rough idea on its size.

[Q] HTC HD2

hello everyone
I have my htc hd2 several times already reinstalled with android,
Until recently, no problems but now after installing setup by rebooting I went to see internal storage 0.0 B free therefore can not install apps.
Have different android versions even tried it first did.
When I go back to windows I see free internal memory.
I also used MTTY_ver_1.42 and badblock that I had got away.
Do hspl 2.08, radio 2.15, magldr 1.13, cwm-recovery 5.0.2.6.
android versions I have tried are:
NexusHD2-Gingerbread_V3.3a-(Android 2.3.7)
TouchWizMOD_v2.1
NexusHD2-Jelly Bean-CM10.1_V2.4
One-S v1.1
Slimroms_LeoV8.0.
Who can help me?
What is your setup? Are you using "DataOnEXT"? NativeSD? Do you have an EXT partition on your sdcard? What's the system partition you created?

Resize your system partition to 300 and try again.

I've tried a system-size of 300 Mb, but remains the same
0.0 Kb internal memory still no app installed

Wait, what do you mean by "go back to windows"? How do you have windows and still able to install android in the NAND?
I mean back to the original ROM install windows again.
When I look at memory I see that there is free memory.
If I then continue walking to android is set up from the outset, I see all the steps after the installation of internal memory 0.0 Kb

... I'm confused.. Where exactly do you see this 0kb? And why are you even looking at it? And why would you even flash WinMo after having Android? They have don't share internals. In fact, installing WinMo erases Android and its bootloaders. (Unless you're running NativeSD, which yet again, resides in the sd card and is NOT affected by the internal storage)
If you can't install apps, maybe the 4GB partition is full? (though I doubt that)
But have you tried a fresh install? (formatted SD card, all partitions?)
if I have installed android and I look at settings and memory than I see in internal memory 0 Kb stand when I want to download an app I get the message that I have no free internal memory.
The reason I had installed the original windowsrom was because I wanted to completely put out android again, I had the idea that it might be good what went sadly was not.
I formatted my sd card several times already and ext4 partition remains the same.
I also tried native but also the same.

Your problem is weird, it's not common. You must be doing something wrong but I fail to figure out what. I searched but all I could find is "resize partition, format and reflash" and "thank you! everything works now!".
Try this: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=38960831&postcount=5
EDIT:
What do you mean by "ext4 partition remains the same" ? You must format that as well using A PC.

I use my PC to an ext4 partition to get the message but can not mount during install, I use mini tool partition wizard.
I have tried TWRP recovery.
But unfortunately still not the solution
OK, try this: Completely format the sd card and create only 1 FAT32 partition, don't create an EXT partition. Now insert the card into your phone and boot into recovery, go to "Partition SD card" and choose 2GB and (if asked) choose ext4. Choose 0 swap and select OK/next.
Now make sure your NAND is partitioned correctly (system & cache), then copy the ROM and flash it from recovery, choose DataOnExt. Report back.
I made 1 partition on my sd card of 32Gb. made there in TWRP after 1 ext4 partition of 4GB nand to due to the overview of the android ROM.
misc ya 1M
recovery rrecov | ro | nospr filesize recovery raw.img
boat yboot | ro 5M
system ya 200M
cache ya 5M
userdata ya | asize | hr Allsize
NexusHD2-Jellybean-CM10.1_V2.4 installed.
but unfortunately.

Okay, now I have no more ideas. If you're doing everything right, it should work immediately. Here is a quick guide on how to install android nand. I'm sorry, that's all I could do, I couldn't help.
You should wait for other suggestions, but in the meantime you can follow that guide and see if it works.

no problem thanks for thinking I continue to try things.
I tell you when I'm moved forward
Yet again been trying.
What I noticed is that when I look at internal memory he says 0.0 Kb and when I look at apps and then run I see at 192 Mb ram used 219Mb free.
Now I understand there is nothing more of who can help me?

No, the RAM has nothing to do with your internal. Have you followed the guide I linked you to?
Also, try to delete an app (a preferably big one) and see if your NAND gets any more free.
