Hello, I have some problems with my mob.phone HTC HD2: after using Flash mobile stop working, then I tried install windows and tried turn on first time and my phone shows white screan with name HTC and don`t work at all, then i tried reset and Hard reset all setings and turn on again and than screan appears again with name HTC.
When i conect my phone to pc by usb, so my pc can`t find that phone.
Can you help me with this problem.
Thank you.
you should get your stock rom, ONLY your stock rom, extract the file ruu_signed.nbh
copy that file to your sd card formatted to fat 32 rename the file to leoimg.nbh
phone off
hold volume down
tap power (keep volume held)
phone should boot to three colors screen and start to flash.
this will ONLY work with original rom.
Thanks for Help.
Same problem......
I am also stuck in the white HTC screen, (R 2.06.51.07 G 15.30.50.07U D 1.66.76641). I can flash from SD card and so i tried, using the image in the latest official RRU, no way, it doesn't fix the problem.
I didnt try any unofficial rom, i just updated to the latest rom from HTC, it worked fine. The problem occurs after i had to restart the phone while trying to connect to a xifi AP...
Any idea what i should try now ?
Thanks. You saved my day.

OMG! Thank you so much! I love you!!!!!! I was stuck on boot because my flash failed and i followed your instructions and now i can flash again!!! i was so worried and if it weren't for you i would be screwed. Really you are a HUGE help! Keep the good work up
how long did you guys have to wait till the htc rebooted after that flash? cause ive been waiting for over 30 minutes and i thought i made that wrong.
Note: ive used HSPL fist, then flashed it with energyleo.23547, but energyleo kept stuck in bootloader
now im pretty afraid of loosing manufactors warranty ...
well lads, pay attention: ive fixed that my problem all by myself. HINT: ive kept holding the buttons for to long, so the device got stock while starting up. so dont press the voldown-button for too long, maybe only for 2 seconds!
hard reset
Remember boys and girls - if you get stuck on the bootloader you can also do the following:
1. Remove the battery to turn the phone off, leave 3 seconds
2. Replace battery and hold down the vol down button and turn on your device to get into the bootloader
3. It should say 'serial'. Plug your USB cable in and it'll change to 'USB'
4. Flash your stock ROM as normal using ActiveSync method. This will also reinstall the SPL (in the case of people who can't get past the first white HTC screen). I did this after the first (and only) time I tried to do it the SD card method. Put my stock SPL back on my phone

im pretty sure that flashing over usb won't do the spl. only sd card flashing can touch the spl.
When I tried to flash (after installing HSPL) using the sd card method and it bricked I went into the bootloader and it put my stock SPL back on - hence why I said if the sd card fails

I'd be inclined to suspect that In your case the spl was flashed during the failed sd card flash, so was already stock spl when you then flashed the stock rom over usb.(which of course being stock doesn't need hspl )
Hi Guys
I'm having the same problem, however, I bought the phone second hand. My question is how do I find out what my stock ROM is?
cheers

you download HSPL, run it, and if your spl is anything else than 1.42 it will give out an error and no harm is done
Hey
Thanks for replying. Do I get the stock ROM from the HTC website, is there a way to get it as a .nbh file as I am currently on a mac.
thanks

White Screen and HTC logo
I have found a similar problem, I flashed the HSPL rom following the instructions to the letter in the NOOB section.
Restarted my HTC HD2 having hard reset, and it would start and begin the installation and setup, once the setup completes, the software requests a soft reset, at this point my phone hangs on the white boot up screen with the HTC logo.
What am I doing wrong?
Stuck on White HTC Screen after ROM update
Why is it that, having run the HSPL update on my HD2 and checked that its successful, does my phone hang on the white HTC boot screen when it reboots after setup.
I have installed the energy rom, the most recent version. It still hangs at the boot after the rom does the soft reset...
Help please?

Try going to bootloader - hold vol. down and press and release the power button
Then try flashing radio, hspl.2.08 and then magldr 1.11
This might help
heck i tried reflashing the radio and the hspl and the magldr all of its goes fine until when i try to install a nand rom once i do that i gets all the way to the "reset now!" and just stays there at this point i just want to get a stock winmo rom back on so i can atleast make calls this phone is my only form of communication

What is your HSPL version ? Its written on the tricoloured screen of the bootloader ? Your phone was unlocked before you tried to flash a NAND ROM ?
Try and use a task29 tool provided here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=5848003&postcount=19 . Extract it and run it properly ( with phone in bootloader mode ) and perform the task 29. Then flash a radio version which you can find it here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=611787 . ( I suggest 2.14.50.02 )
My suggestion is to go to bootloader-tricoloured screen ( NOT Magldr ). Flash a good radio version and afterwards go back to tricoloured screen of the bootloader in order to flash a Windows Mobile ROM ( preferably a STOCK one ). Forget about NAND ROMs until you will be sure what your problem is.
PS : Very very important read for 2-3 hours ( to understand well ) what says here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=609477

@ MAZDROID: Can you tell me the steps you did to recover your phone?
Thanks a lot.
Are you using the stock usb cable that came with the phone or some generic one?
There seems to be slight corruption while you are flashing the ROM.
Try using memtest86+ and test your computer's RAM.

Thanks for reply. I did not use the stock usb cable, but it was the same with the factory usb cable.
I got this problem when tried to install WP7, then got "fatal hit 1 error" when booting WP7 for the 1st time.
Now my phone is bricked with T-mobile logo. Tried to HSPL, fash radio, flash OS (with the stock one) by task 29 many times, but it did not work. All flash process are okie, but My phone is still bricked
Any way to bring the phone to factory settings? Need help for an advise. Thanks a lot
Is your's one of those 1024MB ROM T-Mobile HD2s?
I am not sure if the the SD leoimg.nbh recovery method works. It flashes the SPL back to Original, including Firmware, and RADIO.
If your HD2 only has 512MB ROM, then just download the Official HTC HD2 ROM from HTC's support site (If it is UK, then select UK, if it is USA, you are kinda S.O.L.)
Extract the RUU(something).exe file using WinZIP or WinRAR or 7-ZIP.
There will be a RUU_signed.nbh file, rename that to leoimg.nbh and put that in the ROOT folder of your FAT16/FAT32 MicroSD Card.
While holding the Volume Down button, power up the device.
It should detect the LEOIMG.nbh file and flash everything back to default.
*WARNING*
Make sure your HD2 has 512MB ROM, NOT 1024MB ROM
Make sure your MicroSD Card is formatted in FAT32 or FAT16
Make sure the the Official RUU ROM is v1.xx and NOT v3.xx
Good Luck!
BTW: The Stock Cable seems to have a DIODE soldered to it. Regular cable is fine, but it doesn't protect it from current back flow during charging.
I started with a task29 then flashed a new radio and then I reloaded a stock rom via usb since i couldn't get it to work via sd card. I was able to get the phone to start but i still am running into problems when flashing in general with the phone on multiple computers so part of the problem was solved but every now and again it just shuts of and i have to reflash

Thanks, but mine is 1024MB ROM T-Mobile HD2s. Now whatever I flash the phone, it is still bricking, so i think it would work if I removed HSPL and bring it to the default factory.

I did task 29, then updated radio 2.14 for T-MOUS, but tri-color boot loader sill comes with HSPL 2.08 which means radio was still 2.08? Then I updated factory ROM ship (OS 3.4 and radio 2.14). I can not find a Rom with only OS (not including radio)
Did you get the change of radio to 2.14 in boot loader? Where to download a factory ROM with OS for T-MOUS?
Thanks
Well, this is the thing, T-MOUS controls the ROM releases. The deal they have with HTC refrains HTC from releasing or hosting any of the ROMs. So they should be hosted on T-mobile US website.
Anyways, from what I know, there are only 3 releases so far for US T-Mobile HD2
2.10.531.1
2.13.531.1
3.14.531.1 <--- DO NOT GET THIS ONE (Contains SPL 3.03 cannot be flashed to HSPL 2.08)
After you do a RECOVERY using the bootloader, you will have to reflash the radio to one that is compatible with Android, after that you reflash the radio to one that can be used by Android. Then you install MAGDLR.
I vaguely remember rumors that using a T-mobile will lock the phone to only T-mobile. If you have an sim unlocked T-Mobile, you might lock it again.
Please do so in that order.
BTW: If your phone still can get to the BootLoader (TRI COLOR SCREEN), it is not bricked, it is just not behaving. Bricked means you can't even turn it on for some people.
OMG, they are... LOL!

My phone just reborned now. Thought it was totally die when stucking with "stick together" logo. Here are the steps I did.
1) Redo exactly step by step in this post (focus on steps: HSPL, campatible ROM, hard-reset, remove/reinstall memory card + Sim)
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=609477
2) Try with different SIM CARDS for your phone. I tried 5-6 ATT cards, and only 1 works and helps to go through stick together logo. If you see these words R G B at the bottom, then you phone revives.
SO happy now! Thanks all for your previous posts
No luck
I've tried everything but nothing.
I Get the "Fatal hit 1" when I'm trying to enter AD Recovery.
I'm not able to boot it with WM stock - it just get stucked att the first HTC screen.
Anyone has an idea on how to solve this?
I've have made a few steps several times but still nothing, starting to get frustrated.
Try to flash a different size partition of cwm, see if that will get you in clock work recovery...

Thank you so so much! It worked!
This is how I did for you other guys how's experience the same issue.
I did all this with the HD2 Toolkit.
1. Wipe Task 29
2. Install HSPL 2.08 HSPL (Don't now if this is needed but did it anyway)
3. Install MAGLDR
4. MAGLDR Reperation with Partition 200MB Cache 8MB
Now I was able to enter AD Recovery and install zip from SD card.
Android is loading at the moment and now it started up!
Thanks once again!
Hi there
I got an HD2 from a friend (he bought off ebay) and seems to just boot to the Tmobile sticking together logo and won't boot.
I don't think it charges as well...
there was no lines (radio?) at the bottom of the Sticking Together pink square screen...
is this phone bricked? or can I still flash a rom?
Ok try this, turn the phone off then hold the low volume botton n the power botton at the same time, n if it takes u to the bootloader then u r good, just search on how to install a rom of ur choise, good luck

Well the fact that it will even turn on means it is not bricked. A bricked HD2 will not even turn on the most it will do is flash tihe led light and vibrait a couple of times.
Follow the instructions of the above post and pull up bootloader, if bootloader comes up you can save the HD2. Depending on if you want to flash a official srock ROM or a custom ROM to the HD2 will dictate your next step.
If you want a official stock ROM then just download and flash the official update from T-Mobile.com just type in HTC HD2 update in the search box on the home page and you will find it. You will have to enter the IMEI number to download it wich you can find this number behind the battery. To flash it connect the HD2 to a computer via USB cable while in bootloader and wait for the serial in the white bar at the bottom of the bootloader screen to change to USB and the computer to show it recognizes the HD2 then run the update utility and follow all the on screen instructions.
If you want to flash a custom ROM as in custom Windows Mobile, NAND Andriod ROM, or Windows Phone 7 ROM then you will have to flash HSPL to the HD2. Download HSPL4 and flash 2.08 HSPL if hou want to flash a NAND Andriod ROM as MAGLDR only supports 2.08 HSPL. Or a Windows Phone 7 Rom, or flash 3.03 if you just want to flash a custom Windows Mobile ROM.
Now if you want a NAND Andriod ROM or Windows Phone 7 you will have to download MAGLDR and flash it to the HD2.
If you want a custom Windows Mobile ROM download the ROM of your choice and fladh it using the .exe or RUU wich ever one the ROM has. Note do all flashing of what I have previously mentioned via the method I mentioned before.
If you are wanting to flash a NAND Andriod ROM or Windows Phone 7 ROM then download the ROM of your coice and flash it using MAGLDR and the instructions of the ROM developer in thread for the ROM.
Now this is very important. I see from the picture you have a T-Mobile(TMOUS) HD2 so no matter what you do, do not flash a ROM with a radio version that reads like these 2.04.50.xx, 2.05.50.xx, or any radio that is x.xx.51.xx they will brick/kill a TMOUS HD2.

I would recommend flashing a stock T-Mobile ROM, since that appears to be the flavor of the phone. This will install the correct radio. Once the phone is working, continue as per normal for flashing the ROM. You will have to reinstall hardspl.

try this:
1) download your stock ROM.
2) put it on your SD card via a card reader, you want an .NBH file.
3) rename the file LEOIMG.NBH
4) make sure the phone is off, make sure your SD card is back in your phone.
5) hold down and power
6) it should go to a tri-color screen and say something about flashing the image, hit power to confirm
7) it should flash no problems.

Have exactly the same problem with my friends phone.
Its a TMOUS and sticks on the same boot screen.
He screwed it up when trying to install Android NAND on it.
I can enter bootloader And I have managed to get rid of MAGLDR and CWM.
I have HSPL 3.03 installed on it, but when I try to install the latest ROM from TMOUS it fails at 8% and tells me that
'ERROR 290: INVALID COMMAND
This update Utility cannot be used for your PDA phone. Please check your update utility'
Tried copying the relevant file to the SD card and renaming it leoimg.nbh but the install fails HERE aswell with the error:
"RADIO_V2 - RSA Fail"
I managed to install an energyrom onto it, but it wouldnt go past the initial boot screen
Any help appreciated

Try running a Task 29 on your friends HD2. This willtotally clean out the NAND memory of the HD2 and reformat it, kinda sounds like that is what is needed to be done. He may have messed the NAND memory format up when he was trying to install the Andriod. You will have to reflash a Windows Mobile ROM after you run the Task 29 as it will not ha e a ROM on the phone then. You will not have to reflash HSPL cause it will not remove it.
It seems that the problem is RADIO related. I can task 29, and I can install The latest Energyrom, but I CANT install a radio.
There is no radio ON the phone at the minute it seems. When I try to do a radio install, it asks me if I want to go from version ' ' to the update I am using.
None of the installers see a radio on the phone, and trying to install the radio always fails at 96%. This would seem to be the same if I try to install the official TMOUS latest ROM with radio from SD Card. It fails at the radio install part.......
Maybe time for a new thread for this one.......

Hey XDA
Hope someone out there have got some good advice. We have some HD2s where i work and i have been sent one that is acting kinda weird.
I simply can not get it to flash a rom (_HTC HD2_RUU_Leo_S_HTC_DAN_3.14.403.2_Radio_15.42.50.11U_2.15.50.14_LEO_S_Ship) - we only use normal HTC roms. When i try to flash it nothing happens, it boots into the bootloader and just sits there at 0% until i disconnect the cable, if i dont it will sit there untill it runs out of battery. Tried a few times now and same result.
i have also just tried a restore, to see if its the internal flash rom that is broken and the restore also fails. My own HD2 restores in like a few seconds but this one just sits there again, like when i try to flash a rom to it.
So is it totally dead or is there something i should try?
Have you tried to use task29 (via computer) , then flash (via nbh) the htc rom?
hmm just tried task29 and it did nothing, it booted the phone to the bootloader but no progress screen did show up. Tried it again and the phone just shut off again after showing the bootloader for a few seconds.
beginning to think this phone is toast.
Gonna try a HSPL update later and just flash a non HTC rom to see if that works.

HSPL 2.08 & reflash original HTC ROM via PC USB.
Do you get any error codes from the flash utility ?
could be CID related but you should see error code.
Yes, trying it with HSPL seems like a good idea to me, too.
Because then you can also try other ROMs.
will try this stuff on monday - i just cba to do more work today
thx for the advice
Build a gold-card and flash from the SD slot. If that doesn't work, put it in a zip lock bag and then into the freezer for 10 minutes. After 10 minutes, boot the phone and try flashing again immediately in it's chilled state. If it get's ANY further, you have a bad overheating NAND and need a new main board.
got HSPL2.08 flashed and a Dutty 3.14 rom but phone refuses to reboot sometimes and boot just shows the white HTC background and does not show the radio/os versions in the bottom. So i am just gonna toss this one out, since its can not be serviced (supplier has gone bust).
But still havn't gotten any error codes from the phone or flash programs, other then "USB connection failed". So i think its nand is kinda broken now.

first, you can't run 3.14 roms on anything except spl 3.03.0000 or 3.03.hspl
Second it isn't booting because it almost certainly needs an updated radio, 2.15.50 for instance. You probably still have a 2.xx.51 from the original stock, and so wont show rgd screen till you change radio, won't run smoothly till you correct the spl with hspl4
But still havn't gotten any error codes from the phone or flash programs, other then "USB connection failed". So i think its nand is kinda broken now.

Put phone into bootloader manually, don't use front mounted USB ports, be sure and update win mo dev center to latest ver ..... all the usual USB connection error advice. Trying another PC with a different windows variant often helps if its available.

first, you can't run 3.14 roms on anything except spl 3.03.0000 or 3.03.hspl
Second it isn't booting because it almost certainly needs an updated radio, 2.15.50 for instance. You probably still have a 2.xx.51 from the original stock, and so wont show rgd screen till you change radio, won't run smoothly till you correct the spl with hspl4

hmm you sure? The dutty download page says -
Things to Know how about my ROMs:
* Radio 2.15 Recommended
* HSPL 2.08 Recommended
* HSPL 3.03 doesn't support 576 RAM enabled
But i'll try to flash a 3.03HSPL and find out what happens. I did flash 2.15.50.14 radio before i flashed the Dutty rom. But gonna give it one last try.

Have tried two pc's now, both running Win7 32bit - its all we have now.
Ahhh gitcha, then the dutty rom mustnt be 100% 3.14 rom (I didn't check) it must use a 2.x base to enable 576ram.
In which case, if stock roms don't flash but custom did, it could be stuck radio syndrome, which you can test for with (correct, get it using your serial from HTC.com) stock rom flash from sd card (4gb or smaller, fat32). Look out for "rsa radio fail" or similar on screen.
Edit, oh you said you flashed a radio, and that went ok?

yeah HSPL2.08, HSPL3.03 and Radio is flashing just fine. The roms i have tried also flashes perfect its just will not boot afterwards. I can usually do a hardreset on it and it will boot one time. If you then shut it off and try to turn it on again it fails with the white HTC screen again.
I am toally clueless on what is wrong with it, so gonna try to figure out if we have some kind of warrenty left on it and get it switched over to another one.
Hi all,
I would like to ask someone who are willing to lend me a hand.
Here comes the problem:
1. I wanna flash a NAND Android into my HD2 (not Tmous)
2. I have already flashed with HSPL2 with selection of 2.08 HSPL.
3. It went through to Windows Mobile again, nothing goes wrong untill when I am trying to flash with Magldr Bootloader with ROM Update Utility.
4. It went through again, after that the phone reboot itself and it should be displaying Magldr bootloader instead of HTC green logo stuck at the WHITE SCREEN.
5. I've tried several ways to solve it including soft-reset but still nothing happen with the same problem which is the green HTC logo stuck at the white screen.
6. Even Hard-reset with factory default reset I have tried, the process went through, but still the same problem again (YOU GUYS KNOW WHAT I MEANT).
7. So, I tried another LeoAdvanceRUU.exe which @HD2Owner had posted few months ago, the flashing process worked through but it stucked at the 0% with HTC logo at BLACK screen.
8. I kept on trying with another ROM or Radio Flashing again, again and again and it is still stucked at 0% !!! (GOSH !! I'm going to be crazy)
I really hope someone can help me out of this as I am very appreciate to those who are willing to help me. I need the phone to deal with my daily usage, please the 'PRO's out there.. ><
Thanks in advance.
P/S: The Tri-Color mode showed PB8100 - SS-BC
Did bootloader show 'SPL2.08HSPL' (or something along those lines)?

you havent yet flashed a correct radio. Non tmous radios (..51.. radios) wont allow magldr to start
enter bootloader
flash 2.15.50 radio
magldr will now start
I dont drink either LOL

erm, I also tried to Flash the Radio ROM, but it will stucked at HTC logo with Black Screen and also 0% wont move either..
In that case double check the spl version in bootloader. Quite often people flash "2.08.0000" by mistake instead of "2.08.hspl"
(You did instal hspl before trying the radio, right? Radios news hspl too)

yea i did install the HSPL before flashing the radio and it is done with 2.08 HSPL
but what do u mean by Radios news HSPL?
when I am flashing the radio in the bootloader, I used the common flashing technique which is using the CustomRUU with the RUU_Signed.nbh file which contains Radio 2.14.50 and then the only the problem came out.
by means every ROM that I am trying to flash, It will still stuck at 0% Black Screen with HTC logo..
oops, radios NEED hspl , lol, darned predictive txt!
ok, so sounds more like usb timeout,
enter bootloader, connect usb, count to 5, run customruu.
If that still wont work, you can flash radios from sd, just like roms. Put teh ruu_signed.nbh onto sd card, renamed leoimg.nbh, reboot into bootloader, phone will see the .nbh and flash it.

erm, is the flashing will do it automatically itself ?? because I am still not able to boot into whatever OS yet. And do i need to connect the USB when the leoimg.nbh flashing if its working itself ??
no, no usb needed, put the leoimg on the sd card, card into phone, power on phone holding voldown, bootloader finds the leoimg on the card and starts the flashing process.
