Hi there
I got an HD2 from a friend (he bought off ebay) and seems to just boot to the Tmobile sticking together logo and won't boot.
I don't think it charges as well...
there was no lines (radio?) at the bottom of the Sticking Together pink square screen...
is this phone bricked? or can I still flash a rom?
Ok try this, turn the phone off then hold the low volume botton n the power botton at the same time, n if it takes u to the bootloader then u r good, just search on how to install a rom of ur choise, good luck

Well the fact that it will even turn on means it is not bricked. A bricked HD2 will not even turn on the most it will do is flash tihe led light and vibrait a couple of times.
Follow the instructions of the above post and pull up bootloader, if bootloader comes up you can save the HD2. Depending on if you want to flash a official srock ROM or a custom ROM to the HD2 will dictate your next step.
If you want a official stock ROM then just download and flash the official update from T-Mobile.com just type in HTC HD2 update in the search box on the home page and you will find it. You will have to enter the IMEI number to download it wich you can find this number behind the battery. To flash it connect the HD2 to a computer via USB cable while in bootloader and wait for the serial in the white bar at the bottom of the bootloader screen to change to USB and the computer to show it recognizes the HD2 then run the update utility and follow all the on screen instructions.
If you want to flash a custom ROM as in custom Windows Mobile, NAND Andriod ROM, or Windows Phone 7 ROM then you will have to flash HSPL to the HD2. Download HSPL4 and flash 2.08 HSPL if hou want to flash a NAND Andriod ROM as MAGLDR only supports 2.08 HSPL. Or a Windows Phone 7 Rom, or flash 3.03 if you just want to flash a custom Windows Mobile ROM.
Now if you want a NAND Andriod ROM or Windows Phone 7 you will have to download MAGLDR and flash it to the HD2.
If you want a custom Windows Mobile ROM download the ROM of your choice and fladh it using the .exe or RUU wich ever one the ROM has. Note do all flashing of what I have previously mentioned via the method I mentioned before.
If you are wanting to flash a NAND Andriod ROM or Windows Phone 7 ROM then download the ROM of your coice and flash it using MAGLDR and the instructions of the ROM developer in thread for the ROM.
Now this is very important. I see from the picture you have a T-Mobile(TMOUS) HD2 so no matter what you do, do not flash a ROM with a radio version that reads like these 2.04.50.xx, 2.05.50.xx, or any radio that is x.xx.51.xx they will brick/kill a TMOUS HD2.

I would recommend flashing a stock T-Mobile ROM, since that appears to be the flavor of the phone. This will install the correct radio. Once the phone is working, continue as per normal for flashing the ROM. You will have to reinstall hardspl.
thanks for the info guys! i really appreciate the support!
it seems like it won't read the USB... is the port busted?

try this:
1) download your stock ROM.
2) put it on your SD card via a card reader, you want an .NBH file.
3) rename the file LEOIMG.NBH
4) make sure the phone is off, make sure your SD card is back in your phone.
5) hold down and power
6) it should go to a tri-color screen and say something about flashing the image, hit power to confirm
7) it should flash no problems.

Have exactly the same problem with my friends phone.
Its a TMOUS and sticks on the same boot screen.
He screwed it up when trying to install Android NAND on it.
I can enter bootloader And I have managed to get rid of MAGLDR and CWM.
I have HSPL 3.03 installed on it, but when I try to install the latest ROM from TMOUS it fails at 8% and tells me that
'ERROR 290: INVALID COMMAND
This update Utility cannot be used for your PDA phone. Please check your update utility'
Tried copying the relevant file to the SD card and renaming it leoimg.nbh but the install fails HERE aswell with the error:
"RADIO_V2 - RSA Fail"
I managed to install an energyrom onto it, but it wouldnt go past the initial boot screen
Any help appreciated

Try running a Task 29 on your friends HD2. This willtotally clean out the NAND memory of the HD2 and reformat it, kinda sounds like that is what is needed to be done. He may have messed the NAND memory format up when he was trying to install the Andriod. You will have to reflash a Windows Mobile ROM after you run the Task 29 as it will not ha e a ROM on the phone then. You will not have to reflash HSPL cause it will not remove it.
It seems that the problem is RADIO related. I can task 29, and I can install The latest Energyrom, but I CANT install a radio.
There is no radio ON the phone at the minute it seems. When I try to do a radio install, it asks me if I want to go from version ' ' to the update I am using.
None of the installers see a radio on the phone, and trying to install the radio always fails at 96%. This would seem to be the same if I try to install the official TMOUS latest ROM with radio from SD Card. It fails at the radio install part.......
Maybe time for a new thread for this one.......

Try going to bootloader - hold vol. down and press and release the power button
Then try flashing radio, hspl.2.08 and then magldr 1.11
This might help
heck i tried reflashing the radio and the hspl and the magldr all of its goes fine until when i try to install a nand rom once i do that i gets all the way to the "reset now!" and just stays there at this point i just want to get a stock winmo rom back on so i can atleast make calls this phone is my only form of communication

What is your HSPL version ? Its written on the tricoloured screen of the bootloader ? Your phone was unlocked before you tried to flash a NAND ROM ?
Try and use a task29 tool provided here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=5848003&postcount=19 . Extract it and run it properly ( with phone in bootloader mode ) and perform the task 29. Then flash a radio version which you can find it here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=611787 . ( I suggest 2.14.50.02 )
My suggestion is to go to bootloader-tricoloured screen ( NOT Magldr ). Flash a good radio version and afterwards go back to tricoloured screen of the bootloader in order to flash a Windows Mobile ROM ( preferably a STOCK one ). Forget about NAND ROMs until you will be sure what your problem is.
PS : Very very important read for 2-3 hours ( to understand well ) what says here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=609477

@ MAZDROID: Can you tell me the steps you did to recover your phone?
Thanks a lot.
Are you using the stock usb cable that came with the phone or some generic one?
There seems to be slight corruption while you are flashing the ROM.
Try using memtest86+ and test your computer's RAM.

Thanks for reply. I did not use the stock usb cable, but it was the same with the factory usb cable.
I got this problem when tried to install WP7, then got "fatal hit 1 error" when booting WP7 for the 1st time.
Now my phone is bricked with T-mobile logo. Tried to HSPL, fash radio, flash OS (with the stock one) by task 29 many times, but it did not work. All flash process are okie, but My phone is still bricked
Any way to bring the phone to factory settings? Need help for an advise. Thanks a lot
Is your's one of those 1024MB ROM T-Mobile HD2s?
I am not sure if the the SD leoimg.nbh recovery method works. It flashes the SPL back to Original, including Firmware, and RADIO.
If your HD2 only has 512MB ROM, then just download the Official HTC HD2 ROM from HTC's support site (If it is UK, then select UK, if it is USA, you are kinda S.O.L.)
Extract the RUU(something).exe file using WinZIP or WinRAR or 7-ZIP.
There will be a RUU_signed.nbh file, rename that to leoimg.nbh and put that in the ROOT folder of your FAT16/FAT32 MicroSD Card.
While holding the Volume Down button, power up the device.
It should detect the LEOIMG.nbh file and flash everything back to default.
*WARNING*
Make sure your HD2 has 512MB ROM, NOT 1024MB ROM
Make sure your MicroSD Card is formatted in FAT32 or FAT16
Make sure the the Official RUU ROM is v1.xx and NOT v3.xx
Good Luck!
BTW: The Stock Cable seems to have a DIODE soldered to it. Regular cable is fine, but it doesn't protect it from current back flow during charging.
I started with a task29 then flashed a new radio and then I reloaded a stock rom via usb since i couldn't get it to work via sd card. I was able to get the phone to start but i still am running into problems when flashing in general with the phone on multiple computers so part of the problem was solved but every now and again it just shuts of and i have to reflash

Thanks, but mine is 1024MB ROM T-Mobile HD2s. Now whatever I flash the phone, it is still bricking, so i think it would work if I removed HSPL and bring it to the default factory.

I did task 29, then updated radio 2.14 for T-MOUS, but tri-color boot loader sill comes with HSPL 2.08 which means radio was still 2.08? Then I updated factory ROM ship (OS 3.4 and radio 2.14). I can not find a Rom with only OS (not including radio)
Did you get the change of radio to 2.14 in boot loader? Where to download a factory ROM with OS for T-MOUS?
Thanks
Well, this is the thing, T-MOUS controls the ROM releases. The deal they have with HTC refrains HTC from releasing or hosting any of the ROMs. So they should be hosted on T-mobile US website.
Anyways, from what I know, there are only 3 releases so far for US T-Mobile HD2
2.10.531.1
2.13.531.1
3.14.531.1 <--- DO NOT GET THIS ONE (Contains SPL 3.03 cannot be flashed to HSPL 2.08)
After you do a RECOVERY using the bootloader, you will have to reflash the radio to one that is compatible with Android, after that you reflash the radio to one that can be used by Android. Then you install MAGDLR.
I vaguely remember rumors that using a T-mobile will lock the phone to only T-mobile. If you have an sim unlocked T-Mobile, you might lock it again.
Please do so in that order.
BTW: If your phone still can get to the BootLoader (TRI COLOR SCREEN), it is not bricked, it is just not behaving. Bricked means you can't even turn it on for some people.
OMG, they are... LOL!

My phone just reborned now. Thought it was totally die when stucking with "stick together" logo. Here are the steps I did.
1) Redo exactly step by step in this post (focus on steps: HSPL, campatible ROM, hard-reset, remove/reinstall memory card + Sim)
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=609477
2) Try with different SIM CARDS for your phone. I tried 5-6 ATT cards, and only 1 works and helps to go through stick together logo. If you see these words R G B at the bottom, then you phone revives.
SO happy now! Thanks all for your previous posts
No luck
I've tried everything but nothing.
I Get the "Fatal hit 1" when I'm trying to enter AD Recovery.
I'm not able to boot it with WM stock - it just get stucked att the first HTC screen.
Anyone has an idea on how to solve this?
I've have made a few steps several times but still nothing, starting to get frustrated.
Try to flash a different size partition of cwm, see if that will get you in clock work recovery...

Thank you so so much! It worked!
This is how I did for you other guys how's experience the same issue.
I did all this with the HD2 Toolkit.
1. Wipe Task 29
2. Install HSPL 2.08 HSPL (Don't now if this is needed but did it anyway)
3. Install MAGLDR
4. MAGLDR Reperation with Partition 200MB Cache 8MB
Now I was able to enter AD Recovery and install zip from SD card.
Android is loading at the moment and now it started up!
Thanks once again!
I have looked all around this forum, google, and youtube. my phone is running on cyanogen 6.1 via nand. I would like to go back to winmo so i can send it back to t mobile because the vibration stopped working. Tutorials, DL links will help.
From the Flashing NAND roms tutorial (link in my signature)
5. UNINSTALLING MAGLDR AND NAND ANDROID (FLASHING WINMO BACK TO NAND)
To uninstall Magldr and any Android Rom that you installed to NAND, do the following:
1. Download a Stock Rom from *HERE* or a Custom Rom from the HD2 Rom Development Forum (for LEO512 ONLY, LEO1024 users will have to use a TMOUS compatable Stock or Custom Rom that is LEO1024 compatable).
2. Enter Bootloader Mode by taking the battery out, then put it back in and hold down the 'Volume Down' button while briefly pressing the power button.
3. After the phone enters the Bootloader Screen, plug in the usb cable so it says usb at the bottom of the screen
4. Run the Stock Roms .exe file (or run the customruu.exe file of the Custom Rom you want to flash)
* This will flash a Stock Rom and Radio while keeping your HardSPL untouched *

Yea but that will not remove the HSPL. If you have the latest HSPL you need to open it back up after you load the stock rom and then install the one that is 2.08.0000 at the end of it. Now they will have no Idea. As for the stock rom I just downloaded the one from T-mobile. (www.t-mobile.com/wmupgrade)
Then press the "Thanks" button for him to boost his meter.
i download the stock rom and then how do i do it? im usually an apple guy, im new to android.
If you are using a 512MB ROM HD2, just download the official firmware from HTC's website. The recommendation is to use a 1.xx or 2.xx ROM, do not use a 3.xx ROM.
Download 7-zip, make sure it is 9.20 version and up.
Using 7-zip, open the official ROM update exe file. Do not execute it.
Inside you will see RUU_signed.nbh, extract just that file. Nothing else.
rename RUU_signed.nbh, to leoimg.nbh
Copy leoimg.nbh into your SD card which is FAT16 or FAT32 formatted.
Unplug the battery from the HD2, count to 10, replace the battery.
Hold the VOLUME DOWN button, DO NOT LET GO.
Press the POWER BUTTON, then let go.
Follow the instructions on the screen when the device goes to RECOVERY mode.
Please note, this method will remove your HSPL and replace it with official SPL. It will also over-write your RADIO and ROM.
Everything will be as it is stated, a full factory recover.
I am trying todo this on my hd2, to get it back to "stock" wm6.5.
I am having some problems with this. I can get into the bootloader and from my pc initiate the flash. But then it just hangs at 0%.
Anyone got any ideas to what i can do to get it back to "stock" wm6.5 from Android?
Do you still have hspl installed? Are you using the orignal stock rom for your device? Try putting device into bootloader mode first and then connect to your pc, does usb appear on the phone screen when connected?
I can boot it into the bootloader.. I've got SPL 2.08 installed atm on it.
It does register USB when i plug it in.
When i then start the ROMUpdateUtility.exe from the extracted ROM, and follow the steps, the screen changes to the HTC flash screen, and stops. Nothing happens at all.
I have flashed it with MAGLDR 1.11 to get android on it. I run into the same issues if i want to try and upgrade it to 1.12. I cant remember my radio version.

Do you have spl 2.08.0000 or 2.08.hspl installed? You need the latter one if you are flashing a rom which is not officially meant for your phone.

I tried to reinstall it & my phone turned off. Now it won't reboot. I think it's broken now. Any suggestions?
You will also have to remove HSPL as it is a customized Special Program Loader. Just flash using the .nbh files and that should overwrite the HSPL with the stock SPL. If you use Customruu directly (without modifications) it will not replace the HSPL.
you have to make sure to use a 2gb sd card or less or else it wont work

First off what model of HD2 do you have, is it the Eroupean or T-Mobile US model? What version of HSPL did you install? You need to install HSPL 2.08 to install MAGLD cause MAGLD does not support any higher version of HSPL. If you have installed HSPL 2.08 then it might .e best to just revert your HD2 back to stock and started all over again. To revert back to stock download the latest official update for you HD2. You will have to go to your Carriers website and find the latest update if the update is not on your carriers website then go to HTC.com and look for it there. Once you have downloaded the correct update ROM for your HD2 you can either try to flash it via your computer with your HD2 connected via USB cable or flash it via your SD card. To use your computer while your HD2 is off hold down the volume down button and the power(end button) until you see the tri color screen, this is the bootloader mode. Wait until the serial in the bottom white bar changes to USB and then run the .exe or RUU to flash the ROM. If you can not get the USB to show in the white bar at the bottom for some reason look in the folder created from unzipping/exstracting the zip file that the update comes in and look for something like "RUU_signed.nbh" it might not read exactly like that but it will end in "nbh". Copy this to the root of your SD card and rename it exactly like this "LEOIMG.nbh", this is the only file name the bootloader will except. You may also need to use a micro SD card reader to copy this to your SD card. when you have the file coppied and renamed on your SD card while your HD2 is off hold the volume button and the power(end button) down until you see the bootloader and as soon as it says searching on the screen let go of the volume down button and the ROM should flash this might take a little longer than flashing via your computer so don't freak out if the screen stays black for a while or if the progress bar hangs occassionaly during the flashing. Also if this does not work visit the thread on flashing via SD card cause there is other variables to flashing via SD card like size, class and the way your SD card is formatted. Here is a link to the thread Also after you have flashed the official update ROM you will no longer have HSPL so you will have to reflash it befor trying to teflash MAGLD.
If he has 2.08, their is no need to do it all over again.

Yesthey could try to reflash MAGLD by manualy putting the HD2 into bootloader. But from what thier post says.
I can't turn it on or off, I can't connect to PC I can't do nothing!!!!

So maybe reverting back to stock and starting all over again would be best.
Thank a lot! I try all of this but my phone stays with this colours and nothing is going on
I have a european model hd2 and the HSPL was 2

If your HD2 will still go to the bootloader than it should be savable. If you tried to flash via your SD card and nothing then either you did not release the volume down button fat enough when searching appeared on the phone screen. Or your SD card is either not compatible to use for flashing, it is not the right class of SD card to flash with, or your SD card is not formatted correctly. I suggest you go to the link I posted in my first post here and read through the thread it will tell you how to solve any of these problems and you can post there in that thread also some one there can probably give you more advice.
If you tried to flash via you computer and USB cable then you have to have it say USB in the bottom white bar of the bootloader, other wise it will not flash the ROM. Also you have to make sure you run the exe or RUU right to flash from your computer.
I hope you can get your HD2 working again. Oh yeah you never said what model HD2 you have.
Also what carrier are you with?
OMG I did it!! hehehe thanks again!! i connect phone via usb to my pc when I had this colours and then I instal again on phone ROM and it works!!!!!!!!!

Glad to know you got it fixed. Just be carful and follow all instructions exactly if you want to install a NAND Andriod ROM. And make sure to select HSPL 2.08 when you reflash HSPL to your HD2.
I will be installing android ones again tonight, fingers crossed this time will be ok, but first I need to find a rom oldest then 3.14
HI everyone,
This is the first time for me posting a thread here...thanks in advance.
Well I have a HTC HD2 that is a friends of mines. He was trying to change the radio so it could work in another country and managed to brick the phone. He got tired of trying to fix the phone so he gave it to me. I have tried fixing it with a tool kit I downloaded in another thread here. I managed to get it to boot butt it wouldn't get past T-Mobile screen...I kept on messing with it trying to install a ROM and different radios but non will work and wont turn on anymore but still is able to be recognize but PC(not mobile media center) and the last thing I did was task29. It stopped at 99%...still can load bootloader 3 colors but having a harder time getting the phone recognize by PC. Can anyone help me before I get into a deeper hole? If your need any more detail please ask me...btw the phone is running SPL- 3.03 HSPL in boot loader.
to the rescue !!

your friend shouldnt have flashed the radio without proper info !!
radio is the only thing which bricks the device !!!
dont worry we'll try to sort something out !!
firstly start with flashing a proper radio !!
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=611787
download the radio 2.15.50.14 from this thread and flash it !!
NOTE : if you cant flash radio from ur pc, via nbh installer or the toolkit, you can flash it from a memory card !!
just format a normal memory card, put the radio on the card, rename the radio file to LEOIMG.nbh and get to the bootloader screen !!
follow the instructions from there and flash the radio !!
secondly if you want android or wp7-7.5 on ur device !! hspl 3.03 wont work !!
so install hspl 2.08 for that !!
for winmo6.5 3.03 is ok !!
do a task 29 once and flash any rom or magldr(for android or wp7-7.5)!!
good luck .....
thanks for quick reply
I am trying to do what you instructed me.
Didn't work
I tried it on the PC and it sadly stopped @ 96%, now it wont turn on volume down+power. Battery was charged and i didn't turn off. It displayed error 262. as soon as I can I will try it on sd card. Thanks though.
I was not able to install the radio but did in fact get to task29 successfully and MAGLDR Version-1.13. Now my phone is stuck in the Stick together screen. Can anyone help me from here what should I do. thanks I will be waiting for a responce.
Do you still need help cos its really easy to unbrick your phone and I say this because once I flashed 5 different roms in 2 hours or less and my phone wouldn't even turn on and when it did it would get stuck on the tmObile splash screen and restart but I fixed it and now I'm running the best Rom out there lol... reply to this thread and I'll tell you what to do

The thing is that I can't get any ROM's to finish installing...in the SD card the power button does not work...and in the computer the fartest I gotten was 99% but always stops and gives me error ussualy Error 262. Ireally don't know what to do. MY friend said he took it to an Asian Guy...I noticed that the battery S/N does not match the phone...can this have an effect...I haven't been able to flash any ROMS successfully not even the debranded stock. I flashed several phones and installed many different custom firmwares but this phone has been a real challenge...I'm over 2 weeks in...Thanks for the help thus far you guys are the best...
leoimg.nbh won't start to install
Hi everyone,
I have a severe problem with my HTC HD2 after installing a NAND version of android which did not work very well, than wanting to reinstall winmob 6.5 (vodafone) it startet "loading" the leoimg.nbh from the SD-card, but than stayed in this status neverending. So I interrupted (was that the mistake?? :-( }. Now I'm able to start MAGLDR 1.13, am also able to install another NAND version, but with every version I get the message: problem with android.xxx and so on.
I can start the bootloader modus (SPL-2.08.HSPL 8G XE), also connect by USB, but if I try to reload any leoimg.nbh from SD card - it does nothing, just stays in the bootloader modus.
Did I destroy any hardware by interrupting the non functioning "loading"?
Please help, if you can, what I could do now to get a functioning NAND android again!
Many thanks in advance!!!
freak just try the task 29 and u might return everything to normal condition
and for future never interrupt the installation process as u can brick ur device
for the main topic, i can say that ur device is fully bricked and the only way is taking it to the service center or try flashing directly into the hardware, but thats dangerous and requires professional skills
Plz help!

Please can you help me.. I did the same thing.. it kept getting stuck at 0% and then i had to wait like an hour and then i tried again.. now its completely dead!
Please tell me what to do..
Thanks
First of all; This steps can solve your problem. But first of all(don't forget to check 2.08.HSL) try to use "Task29" and if it is success, load Radio ROM 2.15.50.14, and load original Winmo 6.5 ROM (Tmous or EU which phone do you use).
If you are stuck somewhere, then;
Download an original ROM for your HTC device from HTC webside.
- Format your SD card like FAT32 primary.
- Take "RUU_signed.nbh" from an original ROM and copy it to your SD card.
- Rename to "leoimg.nbh"
- Reset your device while pressing the volume down button.
Radio ROM 2.15.50.14;
Radio ROM 2.15.50.14
HD2 Toolkit 4.2.0.1; ( contains task 29, magldr and recovery and also HSPL)
HD2 Toolkit 4.2.0.1
it's revived!

After several attempts to switch on the phone it finally turned on so I immediately installed stock ROM and it didn't get stuck on 0%.. it worked!!
Do you think I should perform a task 29 now or I can just proceed with installing a new radio and then installing a new ROM?
Thanks again mate!
Apparently I need to install SPL 2.08 before trying to install HSPL and then run android.. anyone know where I can find it?
Nevermind figured everything out Thanks anyway

If you want to change your ROM with one another like Android NAND ROM or Windows 6.5 ROM, then use this procedures.
For NAND Android ROM; You must flollow this sequence;
first check your device if it is 2.08.HSPL, and format your sdcard ext3 or ext4 and 1gb (which one you must use is pointed out by your Android chief). Copy new Android ROM into your sdcard's FAT32 section. insert it into your HTC device.
1. do task29
2. instal radio rom 2.15.50.14
3. install magldr 1.13
4. do recovery 5.0.2.6
5. do clear cache and dalvik cache.
6. Choose your android ROM .zip file on sdcard, load and enjoy...
For Windows 6.5 Follow this sequence;
first check your device if it is 2.08.HSPL, Format your sdcard like FAT 32 primary partition. insert it into your HTC device.
1. do Task29
2. Install Radio ROM 2.15.50.14
3. Run LeoCustomRUU.exe like "Run as Administrator" which Windows 6.5 rom you chose to use.
Radio ROM 2.15.50.14;
Radio ROM 2.15.50.14
HD2 Toolkit 4.2.0.1; ( contains task 29, magldr and recovery and also HSPL)
HD2 Toolkit 4.2.0.1

Are you booting into bootloader and connecting the device to your computer so you can get the HTC Sync connection. Just boot into bootloader by holding the volume down button down and poewering on your device. Connect it to your computer via USB and when you see Serial in the white bar of boo5tloader change to USB you have the HTC Sync connection and can flash your device.
I face a very odd problem with my HD2 EU. After years of 2 different versions of Android on nand I decided to reset it to stock(Vol down+power with leoimg.nbh in root of a FAT32 formatted microsd). When I get in bootloader mode there seem to be 2 instances of bootloader. The first 3 colour screen with all the right wordings lasts a second or two then I get a second 3 colour screen with the same wordings. With my Verbatim 8Gb class4 microsd formatted FAT32 and leoimg.nbh (obtained from the original RUU_Leo_HTC_ITA_1.66.408.1_Radio_15.32.50.07U_2.07.51.22_2_Signed_LEO_Ship.exe) in the root directory, the device does not recognize the file and it's not possible to restore the phone to stock, but I can only get into usb connection.
Being able to get in usb mode with the various versions of HSPL (1-2-3-4) I can still change the bootloader. With the HD2 Android toolkit 4.2.0.1 I can install cLK, Magldr, do a Task29 and repartition.
When I use the RUU installer I can install the RUU_signed.nbh that I used to get the leoimg.nbh BUT when I do it, and it does finish gracefully, on the screen that states the currently installed image THE INDICATION OF SUCH AN IMAGE IS BLANK whilst the name of the image to install is the one I am flashing. If I reflash the same image AGAIN (so I know what's on the device) the info of the installed image is never displayed. So after trying the various bootloaders HSPL and SPL and getting the same result you are my only resort.
Has anybody experienced such a problem? It is as if the the bootloader goes through a script that then starts a second "identical" bootloader (I understand that I may seem crazy) that is not capable of recognizing a leoimg.nbh. All my buttons are still working so it's definitely not a button problem. Therefore in a nutshell the question is: if I can't get the device to recognize a leoimg.nbh is there any other way to make it do so, given that I can communicate via usb without problems ?
Everytime I turn on my phone, it goes straight into bootloader mode. I don't know what to do. I've been trying to google for the past hour or so, and no luck. Can anybody help?
Could be that your vol down button is stuck, try pressing and releasing quickly a few times ...just a thought!
PS. Your phone is not bricked if you can get to boot loader!!!
i tried that, and it didnt work. any other ideas?
can anyone please help?
Maby you don't have an OS. So try to flash a stock rom.
Sorry for bad english.
i tried that, but it either loses connection or it will say something about, how the the version of the o.s doesnt work for my phone. also on the phone itself, when it tries to download the rom, where a htc image is normally there, it isnt.
i have no idea what to do
It would be helpful to understand what you were running on your phone before the problem occurred?
The Bootloader you are seeing - I assume it is the hacked Cotulla one?
If you connect your phone to a PC does the bootloader screen show "USB" rather than serial?
If you have Cotulla bootloader and USB connection to PC, I'd start again with a clean install....not sure what you were using...but Typhoon is nice and Stable
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=933951
It has a "clean installation" guide that you can follow....

I was trying to reinstall a stock gingerbread o.s on the phone, but something happened, and it wouldn't allow me to. So i just wanted to reinstall stock tmobile rom, and install android after that.
Yes i have cotulla bootloader, and whenever the phone starts up, it says serial, but it ill change to usb when i plug it in.
i couldnt open the pdf file.

If you are getting errors while flashing the stock ROM, as in windows mobile, then 99% of the time you have bad NAND memory and the phone needs to be jtaged or the motherboard needs to be replaced. Ive experienced a lot of these similiar threads over on PPCGeeks with the HTC Touch Pro 2
whenever the image file tries to update through bootloader i get an error/update image fail due to the radio i think. it says its spl 2.08 hspl, i tried uninstalling hspl but that didnt work. what could be the problem? or am i pretty much out of luck?

Those mirrors do seem broken.
Well this thread gives step by step instructions.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=11097380
you have HSPL, so you need to task29, MAGLDR, CWM and then a ROM.....it'll be interesting to see if you get anywhere....
Suggest following it step by step and seeing what happens before we write off your phone!
im not able to install magldr or a new rom, it either loses connection, or says it isnt compatible

Well if you have Cotulla HSPL, and USB shown on that screen, and are connected to your PC and Task29 is not running then I'm afraid I'm out of knowledge....
Sorry.
so i found that i have a ruunbh error, what do i have to do in order to fix this?
with ruunbh I suggest you go back and flash a stock WM rom.
That has worked for some.
If that gets you back running (at winmo 6.5) then you need to start the Android process again....
......By starting with HSPL and moving on through task29, radio, magldr, clockworkmod and a android rom.
going back to winmo is described here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=935145&highlight=stock+rom
Let's see if you can go back to winmo first!
it keeps giving me an update error, when i try to install a custom wm rom and official rom any other suggestions?
So of the steps below....where and what is the update error?
--------------------------
If you are using a 512MB ROM HD2, just download the official firmware from HTC's website.
Copy LEOIMG.nbh into your SD card root directory which is FAT16 or FAT32 formatted.
Unplug the battery from the HD2, count to 10, replace the battery.
Hold the VOLUME DOWN button, DO NOT LET GO.
Press the POWER BUTTON, then let go.
Follow the instructions on the screen when the device goes to RECOVERY mode.
im using tmobile u.s version
You really like being brief don't you.
