No, it's still not perfect

that 2.2.1 rom get realy nice on daily use,,, even for some apk, fail for installed,, and root explorer got failed su permision too..
another one is, sdcard "safe to remove" and second time will be booting,,,
but other is smooth...
is anyone have same error like me??

The most stable for gaming is SE stock ROM, for custom rom maybe miniCM is good enough.

like sincan01 mentioned , the best ROM for gaming is the stock ROM , but if you want to use a custom ROM , I think miniCM is good , I have used several custom ROMs , most of them had some issues in installing apps or games
But untill now , I haven't had any issue in installing games or apps with miniCM!

I'm lost in choosing a ROM for my new phone ,I wanna know what is the best and most completed ROM for X8

hy, i think, if you wanna replace the stock rom, choose racht's latest rom. For me, jerelpea's rom reboots after locking the screen every minunte, while, in use it doesnt.

i searched for racht's latest ROM it is 2.3.3 but i think it is not stable yet ,any other ideas

im using miniCM - RC1 and everything works perfect for me, so i'm satisfied

none of these roms are fully stable, if we are lucky the new libaudio will fix the most of the bugs. I usually use skype, and it doesnt work on any of these roms, so i wait for the fix.

No way libaudio will fix reboot issues. They are totally unrelated. A custom kernel will though

sorry then. i read it in racht's thread, but it looks like libaudio is just causes skype crashes.

i think 2.2 ROM based is the most stable for daily use. i've installed the latest ROM for 2.3.3 and i restore back my 2.1 because lots of bug. too many reboots. the most stable ROM for me is :
Floyo 0.15
MiniCM for X8

thanks for replying guys , I have installed Floyo-0.15 and it was perfect but I found that it doesn't support Arabic keyboard ,
anyone have a solution for this problem before trying MiniCM or restoring to the 2.1 stock ROM ????

floyo n minicm are the best so far.
right now I'm on floyo with mod on system/app.
usually I try cm7 2.3 racht n jerpelea Saturday to Monday.

MiniCM for me 2, it's just so good!
Jerpelea's ROM is good as well, but I'm having trouble in games...

i have x8 and i installed rom 2.3.3 by rachet and install smartkeyboard pro and it has arabic in it and this rom he says that it provieds arabic sorry for my bad english

Just installed it this morning, and it sure is stable...
I feel like I'm having a new phone (as in fast and pleasurable )

mini CM1, been using since beta1. all is good till now after several updates. its almost flawless

im using jerpelea's 2.3.3 rom its quite stable and your able to use the camera aslong as its in VGA mode

no...not yet...but if you want a complete rom..you should try minicm..all are working on this rom.

No, altho ppl like racht and jerpelea for example are working on it to get one that's almost fully working. There can almost never be a 100% perfect rom tho. unless it's official SE

MiniCM is CyanogenMod 6 (Froyo) Rom

Even the official from se still not perfect and they wont release it for x8.i hv try many roms here and currently xcyanogen shakira are the best in my opinion..smooth not like the other roms.

Doesnt work for me. Tried with both Dolphin mini and with the stock browser. What ROM are you using?

I confirm, it works on CM7 by mik. Seems also not so heavy. BTW it works only on gingerbread, it won't work on froyo roms

Is Megavideo workin with you? With stock browser it remains black after the red button and with SkyFire my phone freezes

does not work on official gb.

everything works flawlessly very smooth with great battery life the best xperia s Rom I have tried. this is going to be my daily driver running on 2.3.4 stock kernel. amazing work op keep up the good work
game performance on stock kernel is very good, running dead trigger on ultra high with very little lag exellent rom
have been running this Rom for half a day and its very stable just as stable as stock no bugs found so far

its based on nxt series by kris dee and i have full permission of him and let me tell you one thing all these roms such as gin2jb or true ancestor have same base,just different theme.

well no they don't as for a start they are different android versions.
gin2jb = 2.3.4
trueancenstor = 2.3.7
so how can they be same base

its just be editing build.prop i can change my version to whatever i want like android 5.0 key lime pie,its just simple to do so

I would pick this over any stock based rom gin2j was laggy as hell for me so were the rest, when you try this Rom take it from me it's a great Rom the best for performance on stock kernel imo great job op

I feel sorry for you then, as if you really believe that then you shouldn't be developing a rom. 2.3.7 and 2.3.4 have different files not just a build.prop edit.

dude cut the guy some slack, he's trying to be helpful by developing a promising ROM.. you were the first one to fire up with sarcasm in the first place..

I have been using this Rom all day and never had any issues what so ever. I think it's an exellent Rom in which I will be keeping everything is smooth and quick with v6, thank you op for such a quality rom

1st great work on rom would love to give it a go as there is'nt much choice on modded GB roms now and im hoping this will be the 1 for me.

one more thing have you tested transferring large (2gb) files? only reason i ask is im using gin2jb / stock and have this problem where the phone reboots mid transfer tried on win xp fails but works on win 7
