Hi all, i got a Samsung Nexus-S, Korea Telecom provider.
I have a question: Is it save to flash roms and other stuff from standard nexus S?
Because my model name is SHW-M200K, which sounds a little bit different than Samsung I-9020.
It has white body and super-amoled screen.
Radio version is M200-KTK which looks like a little bit different too...
Running on GRI54
But hardware/ability completely same with I9020
No one knows
Heelp
I have only 2days of money-back
No problem.
I'm korean and using NSCollab ROM (root & bootloader unlock)
Baseband : M200KRKB3
Build number : GRI54 -> GRI40 (after flash custom ROM)
Provider : Korea Telecom
Sent from my Nexus S using XDA App
Yess! thank you!
Which recovery are you using?
A GT-i9020 one?
ClockworkMod 3.0.0.5 (Rom manager)

So I own the Telecom NZ version of the Galaxy Y. The only difference this phone has to the other version is that it supports the 850mhz 3G band in conjunction with the standard 2100mhz band.
I have managed to root the stock rom the phone came with (DOKK3 2.3.6), and I wanted to install Creeds Rom 3.5. I wiped the phone, flashed the rom and restarted, but my camera didn't work. I'm now back on stock DOKK3 (lucky I made a backup, because I can't find the original firmware anywhere else).
Is this because of the radio/baseband? It is currently DOKK3. Does it need to be anything specific? Would flashing an international radio disable the 850mhz 3G band?
Thank you for listening to all my questions

You're from Cologne! How cool. I'll check out that link, and yes, my phone is a prepaid carrier branded one. However I haven't read anything about roms for it because it's only sold in New Zealand and there are probably only like 10,000 of them out there.
Thanks!
Don't suppose you have a flashable version of your DOKK baseband I could download? I made the stupid mistake of flashing my phone with an international version after I bricked it and didn't make a backup. Now it's not showing the XT network anymore.

Hey Ketchup,
I also have the Telecom NZ galaxy y and have experienced the same issue regarding the camera, and the accelerometer is also out by 90 degrees. However I did not make a backup of the stock rom
Can you please please please upload your copy of the stock rom so that I can download it? It would be very much appreciated as right now my phone is nearly unusable :crying:
Thanks very much

Starweaver1 emailed me a link to a site where you can download the ODIN files for the original Telecom firmware. There has also been a revised firmware version released in September(?) of 2012 that features an updated lockscreen similar to the galaxy s3's. I might upload it here soon if you guys want.
Ive got a Samsung galaxy tab which has a reference band base version P7500UBKL1
While searching for a custom rom I ran across different versions of the tablet XXLQ8 or XWLP5 or UELPL
My main question is, Could i flash any of these roms and have it working?
If i do flash one of these would i loose the ability to use 3g? or would it just brick it? thank you for the support.

XXLQ8 is for Italy, XWLP5 for Baltic countries and third, I don't know (USA?). I think all of them are working in 7500. While
installing You can select Your native language, and that's all. In certain regions, as in Finland where I'm from the official ICS
is going to come maybe in some months, so nowadays I have installed Toldo's Jellybean ICS v.6 and it's working just great.

I tried to switch to hyperion 7 but this bricked the phone so i had to use one of docky's rom to flash it. I wwas able to get the phone working once more however no more hspa. because i voided the warranty and i cant find my receipt because i didnt foresee this i am literally screwed. is there is a hspa fix ? Sent from my GT-S5360L using xda app-developers app
You probably didn't break it.
Make sure you're in a 4G area first off.
Now follow these steps,
1. Go to the Dialer
2. Type *#*#4636#*#*
3. This will lead to a secret testing menu, click on the first option.
4. Scroll down and there will be a Network Type, and click on that and change it to WCDMA only
5. If you do have a 4G signal, you should be connecting.
Hope that helps!
If that doesn't help, then i suggest following a guide so you can flash the stock rom and unroot and relock the bootloader.
Then you can send it in to the company, and they will never know.
I can't seem to find a forum for the s4 gt-19507 roms.
Can someone please point me in the right direction?

There is nothing to see, it's as if the GT 19507 exists only in Australia, owing to the different iterations of 4G.
I guess no-one is going to take the risk and use another 4G ROM, or root.

Firstly it's I9507 not 19507
Pretty much the same issues here as the other folks.
only a different number on the kernel. The I9507 only exists in Australia & Hong Kong
more commonly registered as Samsung Galaxy S4 TD-LTE (According to the Samsung website)
Like others I've been told 'Use the 19505 software you'll be fine'.
I have however managed to get my hands on the I9507 firmware through http://www.sammobile.com/

Unlocking the bootloader
Hello,
I know this thread is a little old now but seems to be a good place to ask, so I hope some one sees this and can help!
I really really want to root my GT-I9507, asap, have been looking through this site alot recently and the simplest (for a noob) way seems to be 'CF-Auto-Root'.
The problem I am having and not being able to solve is how do I unlock the bootloader?
As chainfire says it can brick my phone if locked and it would appear that it almost certainly is, but I cant find a way to unlock the GT-I9507, only for AT&T and Verizon (American not Australian). I can see that some people must have as they have used the 'CF-Auto-Root' method.
Any ideas, or if someone can point me in the right direction, it would be much appreciated.
Cheers,
Katoiam

I managed to root it mate, flashed latest optus 4.4.2, then flashed Philz recovery, then flashed CF autoroot ( the new version dedicated specifically for i9507 which you may find on cf autoroot website
. )
Use This CF AutoRoot; ( This one is for Android 4.4.2 )
http://download.chainfire.eu/503/CF-Root/CF-Auto-Root/CF-Auto-Root-jftdd-jftddzh-gti9507.zip
Check all versions here;
http://autoroot.chainfire.eu/
If you want custom recovery, use PhilZ ( The same as for I9505 ).
Good Luck.
This may be a stupid thing to say, but I am very worried about bricking my phone, so how come it doesn't brick the phone if chainfire says you have to have a unlocked bootloader?

The steps I wrote above were the ones I followed, I haven't touched the bootloader, only upgraded to stock 4.4.2 then rooted it and flashed PhilZ recovery.
I have just made the plunge and rooted my phone.
So I used the Chainfire-autoroot method as stated above, but didn't flash either the stock rom (as I already had 4.4.2, nor the recovery (as it was saying it needed to be rooted before it would work!)) and it all worked fine.
I have some issues trying to get odin to see my phone, which were rectified by going to samsung for the drivers.
So for anyone who is wondering, Optus have not (at least by 27/1/15) not locked their bootloaders on the GT-I9507.
I hope that this might eventually help someone, and I'm not just talking to my self!

Hey there,
First off, there is no way that an I9500 rom would work on an L720T. It's totally different hardware. L720T has the same hardware as the I9505.
I would try and flash another mode on it. One that is for the phone's hardware.
i purchased from market .. on bootloader (volume down+home+power) it says model : L720t
while in setting it says
i9500
baseband version : i9500XXUHOH7
build number : LRXX2X.orgen.v5
for your information : Here in Pakistan - market are selling fake international phones - means they are converting sprint into international by flashing
international rom in sprint device to sell in higher price)
thats why i have l720t but having i9500 5.1 stock rom !

trust what the bootloader tells you and stop thinking of it as an i9500. that's not even the international version anyway.
