Hi, Quick Question here. - Galaxy Tab 10.1 General

Ive got a Samsung galaxy tab which has a reference band base version P7500UBKL1
While searching for a custom rom I ran across different versions of the tablet XXLQ8 or XWLP5 or UELPL
My main question is, Could i flash any of these roms and have it working?
If i do flash one of these would i loose the ability to use 3g? or would it just brick it? thank you for the support.

XXLQ8 is for Italy, XWLP5 for Baltic countries and third, I don't know (USA?). I think all of them are working in 7500. While
installing You can select Your native language, and that's all. In certain regions, as in Finland where I'm from the official ICS
is going to come maybe in some months, so nowadays I have installed Toldo's Jellybean ICS v.6 and it's working just great.

[Q] Galaxy Tab p1000

I currently have a P1000 running an Arabic ROM as bought duty free in Dubai. I live in uk. I have managed to change the Sales area to allow Android market to be installed as banned under XSS. Upgraded to Gingerbread but of course the underlying ROM is still arabic so I have many unneeded apps such as Quran etc... not sure which apps im missing from a UK ROM either.
I have previous owned many windows phones mainly XDA's and have flashed many ROM's etc....I am aware all come with issues and functions that dont work fully and involve an element of risk.
Im looking for a UK ROM that is stable (more important that speed for me), by stable I mean all functions working and non-crashing/freezing etc.... BTW im never going to use this as a phone so have no issue have a non-sim ROM either if necessary (I only use Wifi).
I would appreciate some advice regarding which ROM's to look into and how the process on these devices work from start to finish.
Many thanks
Darren
Flash some stock ROM (JQ8 for example), which is meant for Europe. Flash it via Odin. Very simple

Possible to install Android Market on I9220?

A friend of mine has the chinese version of the Note, the I9220. It doesn't have the android market, so I was wondering if it's possible to install that on there? Or, a better solution, that if there's any custom roms that are compatible with the I9220?
I've gone through most of the roms in the development forum and none of them states that if it's compatible with the I9220.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
As far as I know there is no i9220 note, unless is a prototype unit.
I9220 is the Chinese (china) variant of the international version of the note. So yes, it exists. Unfortunately, everyone here is on international N7000, so can't really help, best to do a nandroid backup and try.

If yours is the chinese version, not a single rom here is supported.
Apparently, it's also the codename for the European Note.
There are apparent hardware differences between China's version and European's version. You will brick your device flashing any firmware here.

Modem-related questions

Hi
I'm running Euphoria RC2 (ICS based as you should know).
Is it safe to flash any modem over it? I live in brazil and i am currently using KB5, and i'd like to know wich modem would be the best one for my area and carrier, how can i decide that?

You can find a bunch of ICS modems here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1399722
Unfortunately modems are binary-only black boxes, possibly full of spyware, so there is no information that I know of about how they work. The recommendations seem to be generally to just try different ones and see what works for you.
This is assuming Brazil uses the same 3g bands as your phone. If not, I don't think a modem will help.

Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 Source Code

Even though Samsung hasn't released their stretched out Galaxy Note, they have released the firmware for their SHW-M480K/SHW-M480S through the Samsung Open Source Website. Both files are 175 MB in size, and are the South Korean versions of the firmware. I am looking forward to the development this tablet is going to get

International 3G version: GT-N8000
International Wifi version: GT-N8010
USA Wifi version (Adds IR blaster, no other known differences): GT-N8013
There's a good chance the SHW-M480W has some differences from the N8010/N8013 - For example, most Korean devices have DMB receivers.
Right now, there is not much released for the wifi variants, as the international 3G version (N8000) was released more than a week earlier than the wifi version - N8013 didn't become available until last Thursday.

There is nothing available for N8010/8013 yet... As I said before, the device wasn't released until last Thursday. Things like this take time.

I have a SHW-M480W and I just downloaded the zip file of the JB update through your link.
Do you know how to install it?
Is it even possible as I read many tutorials involving Odin with code/modem/csc/.pit but they doesn't seem to apply here... (the zip contains Kernel.tar.gz and Platform.tar.gz files)

You are completely missing the point of those files. They are source code, not install images.

I'd stay away from it. Won't have any of the google apps and Chinese FW does strange things with the hboot.
yeah, same as other friends replied, China roms are usually for China only, different bootloader, no google app. can possibly soft brick your device (again the bootloader issue)

Hi ,
