Damn sorry thought that would work for sure. Have you tried making a backup of your SD card and then reformating it using Fat 32?

I just tried it and nothing, i tried with another SD Card of 1gb, and the same problem

Start over from the beginning. If you aborted a first boot of android then your left with a corrupt data.img which will never boot.
You do not need a 3.14 rom to run android.
Redownload the build you want. Make sure you follow the instructions in the rom thread.
Boot to the HTC screen you saw before and wait... it make take more than 30 minutes.
If you need to stop it halfway through then make sure you delete any data.img that is in your android folder.

A 1GB card is too small.
If it tries to create a 1GB data.img then you will run out of space.

I have the same issue.
Although I've waiting quite a while the first time ( maybe not long enough?) I'm testing now again. How long exactly are we talking about? 10/15minutes or longer?
Just the green HTC logo and nothing happens...
Also formatted SD card first...

I've seen builds that take up to 45min to boot if they are creating a 1GB data.img from scratch.

512Kb Flash Memory
SPL-2.08.HSPL CotullaHSPL
ROM Energy Leo 29007 Sense 2.5 Jan 24
Radio 2.15.50.14
Over last few days, have download several SD builds of Android.
I Copy the android folder to root of SD card
I start the phone in Windows Mobile
I run CLRCAD
I run HARET
I get the grey window about starting/booting (cant remember exact, head spinning)
then get black screen with small writing
then get HTC splash screen and thats it.
each build I have tried, have left at boot screen from 60 to 90 minutes.
Now, 6 months ago with earlier version of Energy ROM, and different radio, I could load earlier version of SD Android.
Today I had a friend around, with an older radio and the same earlier version of energy rom that I used to have, and still no go on his.
What is happening (or not).
Do I need to have an EXT2/2/4 partition on my SD Card?
Something more simple??
Ideally, I wanted to try a Desire HD Sense ROM.
Have tried

Have you tried putting a blank data.img file on the sd card before the boot?
If not try that, they are usually available from the first post in the builds thread.
A few I tried wouldn't boot the first time unless I put that file in there.
I'm guessing it won't help, because some (if not all) of those builds can create a blank one for you, but it won't hurt to try.
This is the one from MDJ's 4.6 build you have tried. The link is from his thread. Extract the file using 7zip and stick it in the android folder.

There's no need for partitioning or any kind of fancy stuff for running a simple WinMo6.5/Android dualboot. I suppose formatting your SD card (do it in WinMo, seems to be more effective) should solve your problems.
@MattOG: The data.img helps shortening the first boot time, I've never heard it actually fixes problems?

great question, i havent flashed a custom rom yet, is this my issue?
Another note, when it boots to android there is activity for a split second in the tool bar and it says that the sd card is near full. i dont know if this means anything.

You dont flash the android rom, you copy it onto your sd card. Providing you have a MAGLDR SD android ROM it will install.
Have you setup your sd card to support dual boot?
I understand. Ive gone through numerous tutorials and have set up my sd card. when booting into wp7 i have 7 gigs and when i mount the sd in my laptop i have the other have remaining on my sd.
i suppose its the magldr sd android rom thats the issue
any insight here?
do i need to do this?

ok good - sounds like you're nearly there. Make sure your Android partition is set as PRIMARY
- yes that link is where you need to look next - i never bothered with that though.
I searched the sd ROMS that supported MAGLDR. They usually had special instructions to make them work.
otherwise search thru that thread.
Zarathustrax has created quite a few pre-made MAGLDR boot files - search for his posts in that thread.
alright ill try that one
ive gone toe to toe with FEB 04 Copes
it boots to the starting htc screen and hangs there.

if you interrupted the first install while it was trying to create the data.img it wont boot no matter how many times you try. If you think that might be the case - delete the data.img file on the sd and try again.

Yes Sir I am running the clrcad.exe first and then The Haret file plus Im waiting almost 2hours each time =/
format sd
put the folder 'Android'- not only its content but the folder itself to sd
clrcad
haret.
if it doesnt boot then hard reset phone and then do all the steps above again
Also,, regular hd2 or tmous? (I ask because 3.14 rom and 2.08.hspl on a regular don't mix, messes with the ram).
Also, for SD android the hspl and radio rules don't matter in the way they do for nand android.
As an aside, I only once got any haret based rom to load in a dozen or so attempts, and it immediately prevented the winmo rom from starting, forcing a hard reset.

Regular, not the tmous... So it is indeed not rare for the haret based rom not to load up in the first or even second attempt ? And will a hard reset really help ? I'll try hard resetting and then repeating the process

Not to cause confusion, but I've found this to be completely untrue. I was running a 3.14 ROM with HSPL 2.08 and Haret for ages, before deciding to give up on WinMo altogether and go to NAND. Everything worked fine.
@OP, have you tried different SD cards?
hey it worked... A simple change of a sd card worked... Tried two others, worked with the third one
thanks all you guys
Can a 3.14 stock TMOUS with 2.15 radio have a dual boot nand android?
No, if winmo is installed nothing else can be on the nand
Then, if I want to dual boot an android SD types are my only choice? I read a thread here stating that NAND is "hands down" better than SD types. If so, then could I still play games in an android SD build as fast as I could in a NAND build?
I recently bumped into this new android version rom
http://hd2apps.blogspot.com/2011/04/htc-hd2-apps-android-cm7-233.html
Like what I've said earlier, my TMOUS is a stock ver. 3.14 with radio ver. 2.15. The post in that blog says that that rom will work on a 2.08 or higher radio, but it stated that 2.12 is recommended, and and hspl 4.
Can I just install the hspl and leave the radio as is?
Bumping thread ^_^
In the Americandroid thread there's a video tut for installing and making the americandroid rom work. At the end of the video the specs of the phone used were posted, it was a 3.14 with a 2.15 radio so that answers my question, but now I have another. The video didn't make it clear whether the 3.14 rom he used was a stock or not, so my question is, can I have an SD android rom on a stock TMOUS winmo rom? Or do I really have to flash a cooked rom?
stock winmo rom is fine
Wow, thanks for the reply. I've been waiting for one in ages ^_^
Well, I tried. Funny thing though... first of, my sim was recognized but I can't seem to see any of my contacts. When I go to "my contacts" it says that I have to import it through accounts or something, but I can't find it anywhere. It says that I have to go to some menu and click on account and import.
Another thing is, when I restarted my phone to use winmo again, most of the programs I installed didn't work anymore like dutty's task manager and the resco file manager to name a few.
Any thoughts on this? I was thinking it was because of the stock rom I have. BTW, I don't have HSPL from what I remember. Just SPL.
Mate you better flash HSPL right now as it will save you from future headaches
yea hspl will save you from plenty of issues down the road
Thanks for the reps guys. I'll post the outcome of this.. thanks again ^_^
Oh, one more question. Does this apply to all SD android roms, or just the one I posted?
Ok, here's the outcome. I tried installing HSPL 2.08 as per instructions of almost all of the sd android rom builds I've seen. Please correct me if I'm wrong.
After installing HSPL 2.08, I noticed a big difference in my winmo. I hardly get any bars in my signal bar, hence, I can't text, I can't call and can't be contacted.
So I went back and installed SPL 3.03.
BTW, I have an unlocked TMOUS with stock 3.14 rom and radio 2.15, and now have SPL 3.03.
I would like to keep my stock 3.14 rom (or, if a cooked rom is needed I would like a closest to stock 3.14 cooked rom) and run an SD android rom. How do I do that? Is there an SD android rom out there that fits my needs?
Thanks for the help again.

[Q] urgent help please regarding dual boot

hi i m using android ics 4 in nand and i want to dual boot with windows 7.5 and i dont want to hard format hd2 plzz someone help is it possible or i have to start with scratch ? coz i had not installed android myself so m bit scared
since WP7 is working from NAND, You have to reflash NAND with WP7, then You can add SD android BUILD
but i have android in nand so does that means i had to flash w7 directly without hard format android or first i have to installed wp6.5 than i had to flash hspl then magldr then windows 7 then android in sd ? and if this r the only steps then my question is is there a way to skip the step of installing wp 6.5 then hspl then mgldr coz i m using android in nand so i have hspl and mgldr already installed
you wont need to reinstal HSPL, but it is adviced to install wm 6.5 prior to flashing WP7, then magldr... and so on
I did once direct flash from nandroid to WP7 and it worked, but im not sure dose it have any side effects or not

hmm seems u r wrong or missed something out so if i dont reinstall hspl then how can i run android from sd does it work on wp 6.5 hspl plzzz some advance user help its getting confusing
reflashing wm6.5 doesent remove HSPL (at least it didnt in my case)
k then too i will wait for more reply coz i had read somewhere that you can only delete hspl 2.08 or so by flashing wp 6.5 may be m wrong but still i prefer waiting
ok, remembered now, I installed custom wm6.5 ROM that uses HSPL for flashing, that is why HSPL stayed untouched
Hspl is not touched by flashing anything..it is removed only by uninstalling using hspl to flash spl again. hspl makes your phone practically unbrickable.. For wp7 you need hspl 2.08... Flash wm 6.5 with radio 2.12 or 2. 15, then magldr1. 13 and then flash wp7.. Then dual boot with android

Simply use yukixbmod rom, and send partition cab and sd unlock cab... easier and better than old way of partitioning in other roms.. Time consuming

you need to make the appropriate settings in magldr for android
services/ boot settings/ ad sd dir (android sd directory)---select your android folder , accept by pressing green call button
you will need to change boot settings also to "always show menu"
boot into android
i got my issue resolved, i wasn't swapping in the edited rootfs file and startup.txt.
it's what this video shows near the end.
perhaps it's not needed with the SD rom that you are using in that video. I tried but it didn't work for me.
thank you for doing that video. i watched that video before i even bought the hd2 and it's one of the reasons i did.

[Q] Android A2SD question

hello,i have a t-mobile HD2 that cannot boot any android rom(SD or NAND)so my guess is that my bad blocks don't let my phone boot Android...so here is my question:with A2SD I install the rom to the SD card(which is virtually converted to NAND or something?) or not??if someone finds any solution about my problem i would be grateful

I don't have any clue what your actual question is supposed to mean, but if you can't install SD Android then it isn't anything to do with bad blocks. You need to give more information, such as which type of HD2 you have, what radio it has, do you have HSPL, what steps you've taken so far etc. Nobody can help without sufficient information.

I still don't quite understand what the actual issue is. Do ANY ROMs boot on your phone? The reason I ask is because you later contradict this original statement by saying something about A2SD moving your apps to the SD card.

A2SD does not install the ROM to NAND nor does it install NAND to SD. It install apps to your SD card, apps that you use on your phone.
NAND ROMs are flashed directly to your phone and completely remove Windows.
SD ROMS are ran from your SD card with your Windows still functioning when you want.

Have you installed MAGLDR and partitioned your internal memory by flashing ClockWorkMod Recovery(CWM)?? And Apps2SD doesnt install any rom. Its just used to transfer applications that run on the internal memory to the sd-ext.(partion of sd card)

I have a hd2 too.
magldr 1.13 .... clockwormod 5.0.2.6 ... Nexushd2 ics 4.0.4 - rom... a2SD-Script ...
200mb nand-partition..5mb cache-partition.. 1 gb ext4-partition and 400 mb swap-partition
I installed my rom witht "hd2 toolkit 4.2.0.1", that can be downloaded here on "xda-developers".
With this tookit you can do followed things:
- Start with a "full wipe" called "task 29" (I think this "task 29" is necessary for your hd2, because of your problems and bad issues you are reporting)
- then partition your nand-memory (for first install i recommen 200mb nand an 40 mb cache - after you recognized that it works, you can reduce cashe to 10 or 5 mb)
- install magldr
- install clockworkmod recovery
- install your rom
