****. I accidentally clicked the option to partition internal SD card and it screwed up my phone!! Kept booting up in RSD mode so I tried flashing it. It boots but the bottom inch of the screen is misaligned by about a CM or so.
Tried the latest FW and the first to no avail. Redownloaded them and nothing. How can I fix this? Tried formatting internal SD card and going back to factory settings.
I'm in Canada and bought this off someone online so is my Atrix ****ed for good?

Sorry but this doesn't help. I noted how it was done. I accidentally partitioned the internal SD card. It was late at night and my contact lenses were bugging out.
Rebooted and it wouldn't boot. Using Droid Explorer to control my phone and trying to see what I can do. I'm thinking I somehow have to repartition the internal SD card so I'm trying to get CWM back on there.
If anyone could help that'd be amazing.
Can anyone help? I tried calling Motorola and they said I can't send it directly from Canada... am I SOL???
Hi,
I did the same thing ... could you fix it?
Your pds partition is messed up, you need to flash the pds partition fix. There's a post in either general or few about the fix

if you can reboot to recovery, you can restore your pds,but maybe you can't make phone calls,as my friend's defy has the same problem, and at last have fixed

I don't really know, but here are some ideas.
Did you disable voodoo lagfix?
Try "eugenes froyo that doesn't brick" for the 60th time.
On ODIN put a check mark next to Re-Partition, but you said that had no effect.
Hmmmmmm, I bet eugene knows the answer. I feel like there is a thread somewhere that discusses this issue.
If you figure it out, let us know!

I was on cm7. No voodoo. I didn't have a SD in the phone and plugged it in for mass storage. Upon realizing that, I popped one in with the phone still connected. That's when I noticed the problem. I haven't been using my phone. I Odin'd from cm7 weeks ago and didn't touch the phone until I plugged it in for mass storage.

Take a look at this, not sure if it's the same thing as that on cyanogenmod link above:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1230059
I hope this will help
I had the same issue when I was coming back to a froyo rom from CM 7.1, I did everything you did flashed froyo that didn't brick and nothing so this is what I did I used Odin JI6 file from this thread ODIN JI6 and the zip comes with ODIN 1.3, 512 PIT,T959UVJI6.TAR. I used that version of odin 1.3 to flash JI6 tar and pit files and checked re partition, when it rebooted it was stuck at the factory recovery so I pulled the battery, held vol up vol down and plugged in the usb cord to get back into download mode. Now I opened ODIN 1.7(DL LINK) and flashed froyo that doesn't brick also check re partition when it re boots it will go into a boot loop you know this, so THEN yes one more odin I kept the same version of odin open 1.7 and I flashed Eugene_2E_JK2_Froyo.zip also with re partition checked. After all this I was still having issues with market then I cleared market catch installed trigger rom and now I can install apps again I would like to tell you the three odins was unnecessary but it wasn't until odin with JI6 that now my phone work right as for CM roms I never have one issue flashing then but if I want to revert back to a 2.2 rom it's a all day event hope this helps
EDIT LOL try the two peoples above me^^^ method first they seem to be on the right track ^^^
Also noticed that when I flash JFD, I get no errors(datadata, sd card, mmcblk0) in recovery after it boots from odin. The catch is, it goes black after the boot animation. Only the soft keys will light up. Really super stumped. Adb wont see my phone, so its making it really hard to manually repartition the internal storage. I have never been a adb wiz.
I thought you got this fixed?

Negative Ghostrider I thought I did. But no dice.
Well damn. Have you tried different versions of Odin? What about a Voodoo kernel and conversion, any difference? There is something I remember reading a while back about an issue like this, I don't remember exactly what it said, but I'll try to find it for you.

I can't find the thread I was thinking of, sorry. I was thinking that your issue here sounds very similar to when people had done the partitioning via rom manager/cwm. Perhaps fixes for that will lead you in the right direction.

I was in a boot loop after a failed install of a custom rom - did all the research - came to the conclusions that I had bad emmc - was getting the fail-pu errors when trying to flash the PD15IMG.zip. As a last ditch effort, found a thread that talked about SD format - yep found out it was an issue with my SD card format. I ended up putting another SD card in that worked in another phone (could also format a new card FAT32) and was able to finally get past this and get the stock (froyo) image on.
Yes but this is for a phone with custom recovery that is not the case here this is a stock phone with s on

The things you've flashed might of had the partitioning scheme in-mind of a 16GB device (which would mean the other 16GB would be unpartitioned and invisible.
You could probably try seeing if there are specific 32GB files you can flash though.

Some solutions state deleting 'lost.dir' or the lost+found folder might help but this didn't work for me. 16gb has just vanished =(

I think it will work on the Mac. U got to give it root permission so do sudo then the flash-all script. Make sure they're all in the same folder. In order to run it with sudo you should type sudo then drag the script into the terminal and enter. I'm not sure though if this is how you do it on Mac though

Can you verify what it says for Total space under:
Settings | Storage | INTERNAL STORAGE
I just did a full wipe and I got 27.26 GB (not 29)
I installed the HORSEMAGEDDON ROM and it worked - for the most part. But it kept giving me annoying errors about different apps that were attempting to update every time I turned it on. So I tried to restore my backup that I had made with CWM 6.0.2.8. However the backup apparently did not restore properly because it now boot loops back into CWM any time I try to start it. I get the errors:
E:Can't open cache/recovery/log
E:Can't open cache/recovery/log
E:Can't open cache/recovery/last_log
E:Can't open cache/recovery/last_log
So I tried to reflash HORSEMAGEDDON but it still loops back into the CWM recovery screen.
I have wiped everything according to the instructions on the HORSEMAGEDDON thread.
HELP!! This happened to me on another U8800-51 phone and I wound up hard bricking it trying to get back to stock.
Anybody???
Does anybody have any ideas on how I can fix this?

Okay. Here is what I did step by step:
1. I was on Stock 2.2.2 Froyo and flashed HORSEMAGEDDON successfully. But I had some errors related to updates since it was such an old ROM the updates were all for much newer versions of the apps tied to 4.x.x.
2. I attempted to restore my backup made with CWM 6 to return to the stock. It said it completed successfully but when I rebooted it just looped into the recovery screen with the error messages posted in my first post.
3. So I tried to reflash HORSEMAGEDDON and it said it completed successfully. But it still bootloops into recovery.
4. I can access most of the features of the recovery. I can access the pink screen and swap recovery versions. I can access my SD card from my PC when I mount it from recovery.
5. Yes, I did do full wipes with each attempt to reflash.
The ROM was not the problem. It worked and worked well other than update issues for apps. It was only after attempting to restore to stock I ran into issues.
The problem appears to be something was corrupted when I tried to restore my backup, even though it said it completed successfully.
So if I try to flash yet another custom ROM, even if I could find one I trust given all of the version issues etc., I don't think it would act any differently. But if somebody can recommend one I am all ears. Keep in mind I have a -51 phone so it will have to be for that or the PRO.
Given that, how can I get back to stock? Am I the only person who has ever had this problem? I don't believe that is the case, so somebody must know how to fix it or can point me to a procedure to repair the internal memory.
Help!!

None of the fixes on this link seem to apply to my situation.
When I said "bootloop" I may have misused the term. What happens is I power up, it goes to logo screen for about 10 seconds, shuts down and restarts to logo screen then goes into recovery after about 5 seconds. From other info that I have found it is due to a corrupt bootloader and I need to reflash the bootloader. Problem is, reflashing the bootloader i.e. CWM, does no good at all.
I am also hampered by lack of info specific to the -51 model. And I cannot find a copy of the stock ROM anywhere that is for the -51.
So essentially I am screwed. All of that said, I have found a new phone for $40.00 so all is not lost. It's a U8800 but not the -51 or PRO. I don't plan on customizing it, I'll just stick with stock. After trashing two phones even after following the advice to "BACKUP" I think enough is enough. Backing up did me no good whatsoever in both cases.
In my estimation, the culprit is CWM, or at least the versions I used.
If anybody has any advice I'm all ears.

Rhonda61, I just reread your posts again and I am not sure that you flashed my repair zips correctly. Did you go to my repair thread linked in my signature and install (flash) the zips there? If you did, what were the results? When you took the SD out after flashing them, how did the device act?

I finally got everything to work. I was going to throw the NC away, and decided I would try one more time, and it worked. The results were after I flashed the partition 1,etc... and it would not do anything, until I flashed the partition 2, and still nothing, until I flashed the NC stock update.
BUT.... I just posted a new question, about it will only go to Stock 1.2. It will not let me
put 1.4 NC update on it, nor any of the custom Rom's ? Is there anything more I can do?
