Im trying to apply the verizon ota update but it keeps throwing errors because I dont have the stock gallery3d.apk. Can someone post that for me?
Thank you
I uploaded it to this link.

just put the http, etc in front and when you have downloaded it rename the file from .zip to .apk

Now, I am not one to complain, especially since I'm mainly just a lurker here, but I'm confused as to why we haven't seen a rooted ODEXED version of the new update? I've been around here long enough to see that usually the ODEX version of a rom is released first, followed by the DE-ODEX version. Why is it different this time and why aren't there more requests for the ODEX version of the rooted stock rom? Am I missing something?
Just from watching things, it is usually an odexed first because it takes less time. Running a deodexer (no freaking idea what the process is) usually makes that version show up later.
I only saw one rom posted for 3.29...so my guess, the maker wanted it deodexed and did so.
I got it.
I'm away from my computer right now and dropbox won't let me upload a .zip for some reason.
Joey uploaded a rom with busybox and flash_image added. You can download it on your phone. If you don't want the two added files, wait an hour or so.

Yes, I am still looking for signed, rooted, odexed "vanilla" OTA 3.29.651.5. Has anyone posted that yet?
For those of us not into custom ROMz... (at least not on my EVO)

Rydah, so you are saying you have a rooted stock rom? I understand you can't upload it at the moment due to a dropbox limitation. Any way to get it up on Rapidshare or Megaupload or something?

This may be a dumb question but... why can't people who want this rooted stock ODEXED version take the steps to get it the regular way and re-root?
i dont know about the others but im rooted using toasts method and would rather keep it that way.

Currently I'm running the gingerbread 4.5.573 leak on my droidx. I'm wanting to be able to install the liberty gingerbread on my phone, but it says in order to do so I need to be on 4.5.588. In order for me to get on 4.5.588 it says I need to be on 2.3.340 before I get on liberty gingerbread. Can someone provide a link or a how to on how I can SBF back to 2.3.340 from the 4.5.573 version that I'm currently on? I've looked over the forums using a search and I've seen people wanting to do the same thing, but no links for the sbf downloads work.
Thank you jmoney, I will try it in a bit.

Got home last night and this website was great. Showed exactly how to do it and provided the files. Now I'm back to where I wanted to be. Thank you!
used both .sbf files and still failed. anyone have any other ideas how i can reflash this back to stock?
Did you extract the .sbf file or did you try doing it while it was still zipped? You need to unzip it and use the .sbf extension file to do it. What was the error you were getting?
Hi everyone I have scoured the net to try and find this, I lost the original moto Chinese input somehow, can someone with titanium backup or rom toolbox find out what the package is called and let me know? Thanks in advance
Sent from my rooted RAZR M via XDA app
Moto Chinese Input is com.motorola.inputmethod.entry
The one with what appears to be Chinese characters is com.motorola.inputmethod.gpinyin
Thank you I found it in my system dir but rom toolbox cannot parse the file, I also noticed the .odex is missing for it maybe that is why it won't show up. Do you think maybe you could upload to files for me? I would greatly appreciate it, I cannot find a download for it anywhere, and the 2 I did find are not up anymore

I have Titanium Backup backups, would that work? I dumped them from my phone but could restore if needed. I can upload a little later.

Yeah that would work I need the apk and odex files for com.motorola.inputmethod.entry
If you could upload them I'd really appreciate it

Here is the apk:
http://dl.dropbox.com/u/15941673/com.motorola.inputmethod.entry.apk
I didn't see a corresponding .odex, but I might not have been looking in the right place. Oddly enough, when it's installed it's just called switcher.apk, maybe that helps?
Thanks for the download I installed it and tried to convert to system app but it isn't showing up in my apps list in ROM toolbox, any suggestions?
Sent from my rooted RAZR M via XDA app
I don't use Rom Toolbox, but downloaded and installed the apk, and it showed up under language and input like it should. Didn't have to make it a system app.
Sent from my XT907
Well I screwed up somewhere and I uninstalled it and lost my backup somehow, it originally was a system app and I was thinking that if there were any OTA's to come out it may effect me downloading them if it wasn't a system app anymore. I should have probably bought titanium backup instead of rom toolbox lol..
Sent from my rooted RAZR M via XDA app
Oh, I thought you just needed the Chinese input to work. You can always use RSD to go back to 100% stock if an update comes out.
Thanks for your help I was trying to find a noob friendly way of restoring the app.

If you have a root-capable file explorer, you should just be able to put it in /system/app/ make sure the permissions are correct, and be good to go.
I tried that but then it doesn't show up under app list, I'll keep tinkering around to see if i can get it to work thanks a lot for the file though
Hey guys so heres the good thing we now have official aussie JB Release from Telstra.
Things you should know though is if you have TWRP or CWM as your recovery you will not be able to update at this point.
1.) If someone has a copy of the stock Telstra 4.0.4 ICS Recovery could you please attach to this thread (I was stupid enough not to keep a backup of my backup) Myself and im sure some others would much appreciate
or
2.) If theres way someone could do a full dump of the WHOLE rom (boot, recovery, system, fsg, modem, cdrom) so that I and others could just flash our phones that way
I have PM'd Apacheo to see if he has a copy fingers crossed
I hope this ends up being a very helpful thread lol.
+1
I'm in the same boat, would really appreciate if someone has a copy of the stock recovery.
used to be a link to it in the ics fastboot image thread but it's dead now.
thanks in advance
I took a dump of the stock telstra ICS using p3droids app. Surely someone else on here has updated and could do the same with the JB version?
Come on guys help those who help others.

now that you mentioned that, I've just tried that fastboot image (just to have a complete ics base for OTA), everything goes well, after reboot it hangs at the pulsating motorola logo (previously running the verizon jb by "firmware team" on my unlocked M)
I even tried p3droids app to dump my current setup then tried flashing it back...same thing, stuck
sorry Cuzzo for hijacking your thread

isn't there a full dump here?
http://goo.im/devs/Hashcode/scorpion_mini
That's a system image from the vzw jb leak, not a full dump.
