Droid notification

For some reason the droid sound changed to an annoying ringing tone when I turn on/off my phone... anyone know how to turn it back to the droid sound?

change it and see if it changes your annoying sound in question.

go to /system/media folder and play the bootup.ogg music file. is it the same as the annoying one?

Umm exactly how do I do that? Im kind of a noob with android stuff compared to alot of people on xda

did this just start happening out of the blue? or did it happen after you installed or changed something?
also, are you refering to the sd card notification sound? turn off the sd card notification in the Sound settings and see if your phone still does the annoying tone

I have no idea...I updated mp3 music download and then I noticed that this happened... but I don't know if that did anything... I don't know what the sd notification sound is... but it's the default ringtone that goes on instead of the droid sound

are you rooted?
i think the sound file responsible for this is in /system/customize/resource/
see if it's in there. you must be rooted and using Root Explorer

I'm not rooted... running stock rom

No I haven't fixed it... I really feel dumb not know what people are taking about when it comes to the android software, im computer savvy but feel out of place messing with these phones with the chances of bricking it or whatever

Facebook app bug

I noticed that I'm still getting notification from the app even after having notification turned off. This started happening after installing ec02. Is anyone else having this problem?

kill Sns service in the settings/applications/running services

Your problem has been identified.
#1 Your using the POS facebook app.
#2 See #1
#3 Use touch.facebook.com instead.

Light Flow
If I install LightFlow my Gallery doesn't work like it should.
I can't hide the bar on the top in the landscape mode anymore.
Do you have the same problem?

I'm looking for a texting app that's good with MMS emojis for like the iPhone where I phones can read. A pop-up notification for texting back quickly? Any suggestions I'm open for pricing, it doesn't matter?

Go SMS or Chomp SMS will work. Both free on the Play store.

I tried a few colours and I never get any notification light for whatsapp messages. Anyone else have this problem?

Doesn't work for me only with stock apps. Only thing I hate about this phone and well annoying. Hard reset didn't fix the problem nor do any led apps

Using Whatsapp to configure the LED settings or using something like Lightflow? I had an issue with my Lightflow preferences which I solved by keeping the Notification Light toggle on but disabling all of the specific notifications LG set. It almost seems like a conflict between Whatsapp (or other app) and the stock LG Notification Light settings.

Well not bothered about an app controlling the lights just want whatsapp Facebook and twitter to use the led. They won't work regardless what I do. Its really odd.

Same as mine but there is an update D80210C available via pc but i couldn't update it cause i have a slow connection and the update interrupted.
Do you think we will get it via ota?
Maybe i am asking too much but this is my first lg phone and i don't know the strategy

Yeah its really annoying me. I have no idea what to do as a factory reset doesn't fix the problem and all settings are correct.

I have another more annoying problem. WhatsApp isn't pushing notifications. I do not get any notification till I manually open the app. Gonna try reinstalling.

Hi guys,
For those who want to use led notification, here are what you should do:
1. Make sure your WA is the most updated
2. Go to WA->Setting->Notifications->Light
3. Choose your desire light color, only red, green, and blue color you can chose cause that the colors supported by G2

Yep and doesn't work thanks though. Its got to be a bug that's affecting some people but I've done everything.

Very Odd, just a guess maybe something related to root!!
Why not take the phone back and get a replacement
