Quandrant error - Galaxy Tab General

When running Quadrant Standard I get a "Internal error during benchmark resolution" Then when I click to send my scores to the internet, it tells me the service call failed. Does anyone know of a fix?

Are u connected to the net? You have to be connected.

Yes, very much so connected to the net haha

I've been having the same problem after changing to .ext4 with modified kernel.

I notice people saying they're getting such and such score with an EXT4 kernel, but I don't know how they get the app to work

I usually get that error when i run the app in landscape.
But closing and redoing usually fixs it for me.

I never thought about that. I'm trying it now. Thanks!

FYI, as benchmarks go, Quadrant is *worthless*.

On Android, nothing at all, beyond actual subjective experience.
IMO, there are no synthetic benchmarks for Android that actually give a true indication of a devices performance. Quadrant is a prime example of this - according to Quadrant, prior to upgrading to EXT4, my HTC Desire and my HTC Desire HD were both *way* faster than my Tab, yet my own actual subjective experience with the Tab suggests that they are all roughly similar in day to day usage.
"Lagfix" a Tab via OCLF, and according to Quadrant it is much faster than a Tab that has been converted to EXT4, yet from my personal experiences I know that in real world usage this is not the case, and indeed it isn't much faster than an RFS Tab.
Quadrant *massively* overrates IO - so much so, it renders the entire benchmark a waste of time.

Dave

[Q] Overclocking on standard rom

Very basic and quick question.
I HAVE used the search button and didnt find the info i was looking for.
I've seen a few threads about people bing able to over clock their XPlay, and i was wondering how this would be done. I have got SetCPU ready to install, lol. The bit of info i need is, I am only using a standard rom, bootloader is unlocked and I am rooted, is this enuff to be able to overclock or do i need a custom rom running?
If I do need a custom rom, how would i go about using one and would i lose all the data on my phone??
Thanx to everyone in advance, I know everyone here are great people and I will get a decent answer and no one taking the piss for me being such a noob with these things, lol.
you need to install a custom kernel that supports overclocking...

And you need an unlocked bootloader to flash a custom kernel

Development forum has the kernel. It's reported that it runs at 1.5ghz without errors.

Quick question also, what should be the normal score of our XPlay if we run it on app like quadrant standard? Thanks..
well i dont know what normal is but i get between
1700-1800 on stock rom with bloatware removed

Quadrant is a load of ****, its not an accurate benchmark, devs have been known to make kernels and mods that can trick quadrant into giving massive scores
I get 12to 1300... Not that it matters.. There is no lag

You can't even get consistent quadrant scores on the same device at the same settings.

None. Benchmark apps at the moment are not really solid.

Android ICS the test | 3.1 to 4.0 | Benchmark test!

He Guys,
The day has come, Android 4.0.3 aka Ice Cream Sandwich (ICS) has come to our loved tablets! But is there really a big performance boost where everyone was talking about? Lets find out!
NOTE:
Just did a retest and I it scored 2426!
Tedr44 had made a nice POST with good battery info and GPS info! check it out.
ps. it's my first kinda "review" video so be gentle
Dunno whats up with your device but i got around 2500 on 2 successive tests.

in developer options, check out the background process limit. I set mine at 4 for that test. Basically it kills processes that are running in background once it reaches the user set limit
5440 1st test and 5512 2nd test with AnTuTu. Coming from Revolver with dalvik and cache wiped. Satisfied. ICS really runs great. Can't wait for custom roms.
ICS Kernel ?
Can anyone tell me what is the number of the new ics on their devices ? I have installed the ww version and it says

I have the same number on my WW.
I installed daoist's WW ICS Rom
I didn't bother to test extensively, but I did wipe my tablet and do the SunSpider Javascript Benchmark before upgrading, then wiped a second time and did SunSpider again after upgrading.
The result? I got a slightly worse score for ICS, but only negligibly so (and it was within the margin of error for both the before and after tests, hence realistically there was absolutely no difference.)
But that's for one single metric: stock browser javascript speed.
comparing two ICS units im getting:
Quadrant
TF - 2420
Nexus - 3005 (but with custom ROM/Kernel - but no overclocking/undervolting)
Antutu
TF - 4992
Nexus - 6289
very different machines I know but the Nexus scores shown are way above 'stock' nexus so id expect to see some serious tweaking boost the TF nicely too
.... but to be fair we all know such stats are fairly meaningless ....
Completely stock ICS on my Transformer, and I was getting between 2400-2600 benchmarks in Quadrant.

Just did a retest and I got 2426! With all my programs installed etc. So i gues it was still setteling in at the time of recording
If you guys want more ICS video's just ask!

Quadrant score :s

Hi all,
I dont know what the exact problem is but why I'm getting unstable quadrant scores. When I first run full benchmark I got 30XX,
second 34XX
third 43XX
fourt 38XX
fifth 33XX
My ram is clean as possible (408/831MB)
And my rom is Turkey XWLP7
If someone can explain , I'll be appriciated.
Thks all

You shouldn't worry yourself with benchmarks. They give you no idea of how well the phone actually performs in daily use.
Anyways, it could be your CPU governor or something running in the background.

Why do people just want to number crunch benchmarks? They really mean nothing.... The best benchmark test is how it works in real life, is the OS smooth, do the apps work well on it, any lag at all... That is the best benchmark. Christ, my old HTC desire nearly had the same scores as the stock sensation according to BM scores, in real life however is was lagging like a pig stuck in mud. Lol

There is no need to check if its true because its not.
Its probably just detected that one of the cores was turned off at the time.

Quadrant is normal. Antutu definitely looks too low. Are you using anything like setcpu or any power saving apps?
Sent from my GT-I9300 using Tapatalk 2
Are you triple core guys using siyah kernel? I use System Panel to monitor my phone and it only shows three active cores. Till now I didn't put much into it though, thinking that it's just because there wasn't enough load to start the fourth core. But maybe there is an issue after all?

hello
well i used to have very random scores varying from 5000 to 12000
yesterday i ran the test and got 12064 but when checking it says dual-core armv7 processor(vf9v3, neon)
also i have another question regarding the processor, shouldnt it be arm v9 ???

My Galaxy S3 Quadrant Score : 8727 Really!.

Well, there is an app that boosts quadrant score, so quadrant isn´t reliable, at least to show off in the internet.
Faked.

Not that i don't think this is fake, but quadrant booster boosts the io points by loading the app's data into ram so it'll past the database read/write at blazingly fast speed.
If you look at the chart you'll see the green section(the io) is at normal level,so he's not using this.
But if you look at the blue section(the cpu) you'll see that these scores are skyrocketed!
So he's overclocked to hell this phone,or he's just using an optimus g or something that has this kind of cpu performance.
Scores with quadrant are equal to none. Its unreliable and even if you get a high or low score it says nothing about your phone

Tweaked system settings, no big deal good for running one program and nothing else. Like running something with a priority of realtime in Windows.
Pump the CPU to stay at 1.7, run Quadrant exit out go to console raise its nice priority etc, go back and bingo nice big scores!
What's the point of this post, to show all you can use System Tuner or scripts or the console?
