Okay, I want the Tayutama Edition v1.0.2 on my phone:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=808763
And I want it with Froyo. Now it says in the Tayutama Edition v1.0.2 post that you need a Froyo kernel with 2e recovery, I can flash update.zips in order to install the Tayutama Edition v1.0.2 edition on a Froyo kernel.
So what I want to know is what csc, modem and pda I should pick for this to happend? I'm really confused..
I read here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=9579987&postcount=11945
that the JPP is the best modem, so I'd like that one. But I can seem to find it on your download page here:
https://www.wuala.com/Samsung Galaxy S/Firewares , Updates and Odin/?key=AfzUZSU4SpKU
So could someone help me with finding the JPP modem and tell me what CSC and PDA I should use with it?
Would really help me alot.
I'm from Denmark btw, and my current firmware is:
Code: XWJM9
CSC: XEEJM1
Modem: XXJM4
512.pit
Thanks!
Alright, so this is what I've come up with so far:
CODE: JPM (Since it's called " Tayutama Edition v1.0.2 ... [I9000XXJPM] ..."
MODEM: JPP (Again, since I read that it is the fastest but where can I find it??)
CSC: ?
.pit: ?
I'm lost on the CSC part. Dunno what to pick there.
About the .pit file I found in your guide here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=7329960#post7329960
that I should pick the 803.pit if my firmware is released after XXJP3. Else I should pick the 512.pit. But I don't know if it is?
And does this modem and csc play nicely together? Is this a bad match or?
Go to samfirmware and download any eclair firmware.you heard that right. Eclair. All you need is 2e recovery. Doesn't have to be froyo.

So it will automaticly become Froyo if I apply the Tayutama Edition v1.0.2 on any Eclair version?
Hi everyone, im from Malaysia and im kinda new in this flashing business.
However, i just bought my tab from Singapore. The following is my tab details:-
PDA: P1000DXJJ1
PHONE: P1000DXJJ1
CSC: P1000OLBJJ2
Somebody please kindly advice me if i have to upgrade my current firmware and which version would be the best for me. Because i have seen so many different version of firmwares available in samfirmware but im not too sure which is the best, also worrying about the warning from mr.chainfire's thread.
Currently, im considering jj2,jk2,jm4, and roto jme but still not sure which one of it would benefits me the most. Please do let me know your opinion upon of my queries. I would really like to know if i need to upgrade or not. And, does the firmware upgrade would bring up the optimized performance to my tab?
Your answer will be very much appreciated.
Thank You in advance.
Best Regards,
TabFans.

Roto JME is a good choice, the overall speed of this version have much improvement than stock one, and Roto had removed the proteceted bootloader issue from his ROM.
only one thing to remind, do backup of original rom or at least copy the /system/csc and /efs to ur computer. These are the region code and the IMEI of ur tab.
I desperately need some help.
I just bought a Samsung Galaxy S GT-I9000 (8gb). Here are some details about this phone:
Model Number: GT-I9000
Firmware Version: 2.3.2
Baseband Version: I9000XXJPK
Build Version: Gingerbread.XWJV1
The thing is, I want to root my phone and install custom ROMs and I have absolutely no idea how to do it. I've tried searching everywhere but I can't seem to find out how to do it. There is no information for 2.3.2!
Apparently, 2.3.2 is a beta version and I have no idea how my phone has Gingerbread.
To check whether my phone was already rooted or not, I installed Titanium Backup and it does not run because it needs "root privileges". So, my phone is not rooted.
Please can someone help me on what I need to do? I'm completely lost and desperately in need of help! A step-by-step guide would go a long way!
Thanking you in advance!
The easiest way to root is via super one click. You need to instal the same. You'll find the link in xda forums.

Yes, firstly you need to read the numerous guides already available in xda.
Secondly an excellent single source for firmwares, guides and pc tools is samfirmware.com
Thirdly, and only after you have done extensive research here you desperately need to update your firmware. You must have bought your phone second hand because 2.3.2 JV1 has never been officially released. It was the first leaked alpha release of gingerbread for SGS several months ago and is VERY experimental. An excellent source for current GB 2.3.3 JVH is Ramad's link here > http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1011901
Best of luck...you've bought a cracking phone and the members here are very helpful (as long as you do your bit and thoroughly familiarise yourself with site content)
Thank you ever so much for the kind help!
I managed to find a website that had a step-by-step guide in very little words (but it was a complete guide) and that has helped me with my problems. I've updated to Android 2.3.3.
Yes, this community is great.
I was the same bit just read the development forums and figured it out

Unfortunately CF root doesn't work well with it but this method does: -
How to root and install busybox:
* Download Odin version of FuguRoot: http://forum.xda-developers.com/show....php?t=1010141 (Remember to thank nikademus for his excellent work!)
* Download and extract the original and untouched Kernel:
XWJVH Kernel: Download (5.6 MB) (Double-Click to extract)
XWJVB Kernel: Download (5.6 MB) (Double-Click to extract)
XWJVA Kernel: Download (5.6 MB) (Double-Click to extract)
XXJVK Kernel: Download (5.6 MB) (Double-Click to extract)
* Flash zImage-root tar file as PDA with no pit and no re-partition, let the phone boot until it enters charging mode then disconnect the phone.
* Re-enter Download Mode
* Load the extracted original Kernel tar file as PDA only, no pit and no re-partition, connect the phone and flash the original Kernel.
* Done!
Enjoy your SGS.
Supercurio's kernel is excellent too. I rooted via fuguroot which worked fine, but have now flashed supercurio's.

It all sounds really helpful! I will try this very soon and I hope it works!
Thank you for your constructive input!
Put it in a plant pot cover with compost add water and wait
Good morning,
Can someone please re-upload BGKJ3 rom and kernel
The links in the "[ROMS]Official i9100 carrier branded firmware download for Odin Flash" thread (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=14506206&postcount=4) are dead.

>> Firmware info: PDA:BGKJ3| PHONE:XXKI4| CSC:XECKJ2
>> BGKJ3 Stock Kernel: http://www.multiupload.com/H2F054ICEK

P.S. I cannot post directly in the "[ROMS]Official i9100 carrier branded firmware download for Odin Flash" thread because of forum´s "10 messages" limitations.
Thanks,

Looking a little bit more, I found a working link to the ROM:
hotfile.com/dl/146332982/9e20c5a/I9100BGKJ3_I9100XECKJ2_XEC.zip.html
However, I am still missing the kernel.
Could someone please upload the kernel?
Thanks,

Me I can't find anywhere the insecure kernel I need for GINGERBREAD.BGKJ3 to soot my SGS2.
Any one could please tell me where to find it to root my phone with Odin and S2Root .. .. pleeeeeeeese
:crying::crying:
Well I feel dumb to say this but I bought my S4 last week and already Bricked it.
It is an I9505 with ME7 firmware. I did some easy root way using a formatted SD card so haven't flashed and files before.
Anyways now to the dumb part, I was bored and work and installed chainfire 3d without reading all of the info just saw it had good rating I obviously now know it is not made for a newer phone so I feel really stupid.
So my Verizon S4 is locked up and wont load past the Verizon screen. I have goggled the problem and that is what brought me to this website. A lot of great information here but I figured I would make a thread for help and make sure I understand everything right before I try anything from now on.
The search bought me to this page being the say to fix it.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2250824
Now I have read though it all but there are so many links that it just confused me on witch one to download and install to fix the device. I dont mind if the phone gets fully wiped or stays rooted/doesn't. Just want to be able to use it and read up and learn more.
So basically I am asking if that that link is the fix to my problem and what download/rom should I use. Do I download a Original Stock ROM or Pre-Rooted ROM? Then put my phone in download mode and use ODIN
So I am looking to install the least bloatwear one but what ever will fit it works.
If I download the top one
Model: GT-I9505 (4.3)
PDA: JSS15J.XXUEMI8
PHONE: XXUEMI8
CSC: OXAEMI8 (8 codes)
Kernel: 3.4.0-1715731 (20.09)
Bootloader FREE!!
FULL WIPE ROM!! BACK UP YOUR DATA!!
Leaked/TEST FW
Device Status - CUSTOM
KNOX WARRANTY VOID 0x1
Build Date: 20.09.2013
Changelist: 1715731
Original Stock ROM: Download: <<< Hotfile >>>
Stock KERNEL: Downloads: <<< Android Host >>>
Stock RECOVERY: Downloads: <<< Android Host >>>
Pre-Rooted ROM: Odex - FULL - Downloads: <<< Android Host
What do I need to download and flash....the Orignal stock ROM or the pre rooted Rom? Then if i did one of these other links down the page like Kernel: [04/09][1.6][exFAT] Adam Kernel....All these links have me lost
