I'm having a strange problem with my data connection.
I've been using the unofficial 1.2 for a while and the data is working fine. So I flash to the unofficial 1.3 and everything is good on first boot then I reboot and data stops working immediately after boot. Reboot again and data is still dead. Repeat and repeat and you get the point. Data still dead. Wipe and nandroid back to my unofficial 1.2 and data is working again. The same happens when I flash fresh 1.1.
Anybody else experience this?
this sounds a bit strange to me, have you tried to clear the dalvik and boot caches. That seems to work for force close problems, but I've never had any reports of data problems.
So let me make sure I understand correctly.
Running my 1.2c rom data works perfectly.
Upgrading to either Fresh 1.1 or my 1.3a rom, data does not work?
Please try to clear the dalvik cache and/or boot cache, reboot and report back your findings.
Also I'm curious to know if doing a full wipe prior to flashing 1.3a fixes the issue.
Well i wiped and cleared the Dalvik/boot caches and installed fresh1.1 and it seemed to be fine for a couple of reboots then i pushed some apk's to it. The apk's were some apps not included in fresh...stock, ringtone trimmer, ect. and did a reboot and the data connection died again.
I don't know what the problem is but i think im gonna stick with 1.2 till the official 2.1 or a stable dev 2.1 is released. Data never died with these Roms. Thanks anyway and you guys are doing a great job of development.
Whenever i flash a new ROM, my phone keeps rebooting. Any ideas?
Thanks
At what point does it reboot?

Try clearing your cache, data, etc. and yank the battery, wait 30 seconds, put it back in.
What ROMs and kernels have you tried?
Constant reboot happens when exiting recovery mode after flashing a new ROM.
I have tried several ROMS. Only one that works is fresh ROMS.
What method is the best way to ensure cache is deleted?
through your recovery. you should always wipe before you flash
data/cache/dalvik all three options
Yo, I'm having the same problems.

Constant reboot fixed by factory reset for me.

Will give the Factory Reset a try.
Thanks
Just tried it. Didn't work.
Clear ALL cache and data from your recovery: Dalvik cache, /data, and regular cache. Also try removing your SD card (worth a shot).
Did Factory Reset
Rebooted
Flashed Damage Control ROM
Rebooting over and over...
im not rooted at all and this same thing is happening to me itll get up to the 4g sign then reboot again.. have to wait until thursday to get my replacement ughhhhhhhh =(

This just happened to me also. Did you also root with the Unrevoked Evo 2 app? That's that I did, and it's the only thing I think might be causing the problem.
My issue is this -- my phone will be running fine for days, even weeks, and will then spontaneously reboot. The phone will then get stuck on the Android "Starting Applications" step and never get any further. I've attempted to wipe cache and Dalvik, and even gone so far as to re-flash the ROM I happen to be running at the time.
This has happened to me at least a half dozen times, and it's starting to frustrate me. I've had this issue with at least 4 different ROMS, including CM 10.1, PA, AOKP, and at least one mixed feature ROM. The only solution I've found at this point is to do a factory reset and system wipe and start from scratch.
Any suggestions on what I might try next time? I'm really at a loss.
dont wipe or clear data after you flash a rom. flash rom and if it installs correctly then clear the cache and thats it. then let it reboot
i used to get stuck in that same screen, but thats because i was clearing data after i had flashed a rom. hopefully that helps
Had this issue. Do a stock flash with the toolkit

go to recovery, do a factory data reset.
Hi!
I recently updated my ROM to the Paranoid Android 3.98, I did a full wipe, flashed the ROM, latest Gapps (with TWRP) and ever since the tablet has been become really laggy on opening apps or doing anything. I realised something was wrong straight after I booted it up by how long it was taking to connect to the WIFI etc.
Anyway, its hanging a lot on the unlock screen and sometimes I get a "Process System is not Responding" prompt. I've tried going back into recovery and clearing the caches/data again and its still hanging. Ive also tried using CWM recovery to wipe the tablet, flash the ROM/Gapps etc and its still really slow. Lastly, I just tried a factory reset from the settings menu and again, its still the same!
Any ideas on whats up with it and how to sort it out? I was thinking about unrooting it back to stock although I think the problem will still probably happen. I came from the PA 3.95 build and did a clean flash.
Cheers!
Chris
I think I have fixed it by following a post by Chasmodo on how to do a super-clean install.
1) I booted into recovery.
2) Did the three wipes (Data, Cache, Dalvik) several times over.
3) Went to Mount & Storage and formatted both system & cache*.
4) Flashed PA 3.98 & latest PA-Gapps.
5) Wiped both caches again and rebooted.
As soon as connecting WIFI, signing into Google I could tell it was running a lot faster again and now the lag on the unlock screen & opening apps seems to have stopped, also haven't had the "System Process isn't Responding since."
*Chasmodos version of the super-clean install didn't say to format the cache as well although I had tried just formatting the system and it didn't fix the issue. So I thought I'd try the same process with a cache format as well and now all issues seem to have been rectified.
Cheers
Chris
Hi all,
So my phone keeps restarting its self, sometimes it does it 2 times in 10 mins and sometimes not for a couple of hours.
I have flashed 2 different roms with complete wipes (wipe data factory reset/ cache/ dalvik and system) and the only thing i have restored from titanuim is apps + app data.
Never had this kind of issue with my s2 or s3 and none upto now with my s4.
Any ideas what it could be or what i have to do?
Appreciate any feedback, thanks.
No one can help?!
When i said i have flashed 2 roms i meant i had the issue suddenly and have flashed to different roms since the issue started and still its the same.
So im guessing its not rom related?
Don't do the restore.
Re-install all your apps and see what happens then.
