After removing all verizon apps...
Very nice! Another reason I need to root my Pro!
After a restart I get 1500+, no Verizon apps removed.
Launcher Pro is my home, 5 home screens, 20 widgets.
Actually the test result were:
First run: 1400 something
Second: 1550
Third: 1588
I average 1580-1600

Why am I getting such low scores? Isn't the average between 30-35
Because you touch yourself at night.
Kiddin' aside, you probably have a lot of things running in the background... Do you have a lot of widgets up and running? Have you disabled the bloatwares yet? If not I'd suggest killing your widgets and disabling a few of those unwanted apps (Finance, Photobucket and etc) and re-run Linpak to see what you get.
I don't use any widgets. I have two picture frames on my mainscreen but that's it. I close the finance widget which always seems to run in the background even though I never use it. Getting around 15-17 now haha.
Nah bro... You can disable the unwanted bloatwares, here... read the thread below in the Dev. section:

Oh and have you downloaded VISIONary from the market yet? If not I'd highly suggest that you do, it'll temp-root your phone in 1 step! Here's the link on that:
r9: VISIONary - one click temproot for G2

Yeah I appreciate the help but I'm not looking to root right now. I did however score way better in linpack a couple weeks ago though =\
Nobody likes the YouDon'tNeedThat attiude, but I have to ask - why bother benchmarking again? The processor hasn't changed since the last few weeks - it's just a case of backgrounded software.
I ended up running linpack again because I was trying to test some overclocks using this method: watch?v=wToXNT3zIqY (youtube)
Followed the guide step by step. Then at the end I tested linpack and it was low for some reason. So I uninstalled everything.
What helps me or makes me feel better is, root with visionary and clean cache then restart phone.. seems smooth or normal use after even without root.. just makes me feel better because it takes up a lot of MB with those bloatwares.. I just do it once in awhile..

I've read a few things about not using Task Killers on the DHD as its not required, just done a little experiment though.
Did a Quadrant score on my DHD i'm running Leedroid 1.2 with standard Kernel.
My quadrant score was 1508... (after it being on and used all day)...
Downloaded Advanced task killer from the market ran it killed all the apps running let the system settle so that scrolling was smooth etc ran quadrant again and got 1959.
Does this actually mean anything ?
I'm not having any issue's with my phone just curious to see what the difference was...
Doesn't mean a bean. I hit 3000 in quadrant, no task killer. Just in Aeroplane Mode (proper spelling) for the test.
Android 2.2 handles tasks & memory very well, chances are "killed" apps will just restart themselves anyway. Especially if they are widgets on you home screens.

Hello everyone. What's a good quadrant score for a stock 860? I have been seeing 2600-2650 on average, is this fairly common for this model? Is there a good way to prepare to take the test by closing apps, features etc?

Ive been averaging consistent 2500 of four attempts in quadrant after the 4.1.57 update. I normally run it just after start up and I get those scores.
I achieved 2740 with 4.1.57
I've gotten around 2900 once, but it usually falls between 2650 and 2800. To be fair though Quadrant only tests a single core, if you compare it vs say an inspire on stock rom (Or probably even a custom) at stock clocks it will only get about 1900-2100. So really the Atrix gets 20%-30% better scores and it's only using 1 of 2 cores. Another thing you'd notice on the Atrix is it has nearly no slowdowns, even an Inspire running at a 1.8 OC (battery life is horrible) will bog when you install/update programs while doing something else because it's still a single core and needs to share cycles across programs where the Atrix can devote a core to all background activities and the other to what you're doing in the foreground. I didn't really notice how fast the Atrix was until I had to fix something on my girlfriends Captivate (Gave her mine when I upgraded) and she has like 25 apps and a custom rom with a 1.4 OC and OMG it felt so slow compared to my Atrix.
I got a 2774 with the gingerblur ROM. That's the best I've ever gotten and I've run it on stock, 1.52, the new update and gingerblur. Gingerblur has gotten me, by far the highest and most consistent scores of all. I usually run between 2600-2750 under normal usage, which is quite a bit.

smartbench 2011 it said to support dual core. Have any of you run that app to see what kind of scores you get? On quadrant I get around 2400-2500.
With Smart bench I get around 2900 on productivity and around 2400 on game index

That's about what I get, it's also funny (although not surprisingly) the single cores get obliterated except for a galaxy S because the GPU in those are amazing.

I saw an Atrix running 2.3.3 in that listing. How is that possible? Faking the OS or something?

No, you have to register in that listing. So Maybe he has registered false data. You only have to proof it with a screenshot when you are in the top 20.
i usually hit 2600-2800 on gingerblur but have hit 3000 before.
i got 2449 here
I average 2900 or so lately though I've been hitting 3000+ consistently. Im running rooted 4.1.57 pushing cpu to a constant 1ghz with setcpu. Hopefully once they get over clock we'll be on par with the xoom

1-what kernel were you using when this 'bog' down happened at 1.8 ghz when something was updating. cause my inspire at 1.8 ghz while downloading a file through web, and updating apps in the market will still be faster than the atrix. ive NEVER even had so much as a hiccup at 1.8 ghz on my kernel, and i just did exactly that, downloaded a file, while 4 apps were updating in the market, and at the same time opened app to qr, and the apps loaded instantly. the atrix takes a few seconds for it to load up, with nothing at all going on, with all bloat removed and only the factory default apps on it. the inspire has over 100. also, i posted this elsewhere also, testing my kernel yesterday running at 1804 mhz all day long, i got over 16 hours off a charge with 3.5 hours screen on time. screen brightness was at 100%. if it was at 50 it could have went much longer. not horrible if you ask me. the inspire with a single core doesnt lag when a live wallpaper is put on it, and i can actually type on the keyboard without having to correct errors every other word cause its lags so bad.
just another note, my inspire rom and kernel at default 1ghz (no overclock) hit 2700+ quadrant
I just got 4000 on CM7
4900 with cm7 + overclock to 1.3ghz ;P
the motoblur software and at&t crap really slows stuff down.
I'm running nightly 8/6/2011. I have three home screens at 5 columns, 8 rows.
Only widgets are Google Voice, Plume, and Playerpro.
My home screens lag when I scroll between them and I don't understand why. I'm thinking it could be my overclock settings. I had mine at on demand, with min at 600, and max at 1200.
Then I tried using nook tweaks and set the 4th step at 1200, 5th at 1300. Didn't really change anything about the home screen though (everything else runs blazingly fast, however. ).
Do I need to change voltages along with the cpu? What do you use that makes it run smooth? Some youtube vids really impress me.
Edit: I've also tried using performance, but it didn't feel like it changed anything. :/
you may want to try... in cm settings, lock home in memory and don't enable surface dithering, this may help.
have you try launcher pro? its vary super smooth and no lag.
here are my settings and stats. im using launcher pro and all is smooth and vary stable, with good battery life.
me: cm7 / n155 / conservative / 16 bit nenamark1 22.9 neocore 29.9 quadrant 2642
300 @ .8125v
600 @ 1.0v
800 @ 1.1625v
1100 @ 1.2375v
1200 @ 1.2875v
Thank you for the reply! I disabled dithering, and applied the same voltage/cpu steps, and it seems a lot better now!
I am used to adw-ex, but I see that launcher pro is a little more popular these days. I will try it out. Thanks again.
Voltage settings shouldn't affect your performace, they should be stable or unstable and cause things to not work.
The conservative governor is certainly not going to help your cause, ondemand is probably your best bet. You do not want to use performance, as it will set your cpu to max out non-stop.
Hi there,
can you please check qith a really light benchmark (like quadrant standard) and report the fps cap on the 3D tests(and in which test)? i see mine caps at 50-51, seems like that is the limit on the screen(48fps) and that is the reason my old Nexus 4 (has much smoother transitions and user experience -the only compartment the N4 wins actually...) i have disabled Stamina etc, all power saving features.. but that limit hasnt changed..
BL Locked, stock rom .77
Thanks
Up to 69 fps here.
Locked BL, .77 firmware
Thanks for your reply, in which benchmark achieved 69fps to check with mine z3c?
I`ve got up to 68 fps as well.
testet with quadrant standard lb on .77
Well, Thanks for your replies, both , it seems that even if i disable the "Extended Use" (something like that), if i don't restart the phone it doesnt stick, that's why the 48-50fps, when i reboot it, the fps went to the same range like yours.
the first one got to 69 if i remember correctly. The lowest one was the DNA thing
What u got in 3d test is not monitor refresh rate.
