can you please check qith a really light benchmark (like quadrant standard) and report the fps cap on the 3D tests(and in which test)? i see mine caps at 50-51, seems like that is the limit on the screen(48fps) and that is the reason my old Nexus 4 (has much smoother transitions and user experience -the only compartment the N4 wins actually...) i have disabled Stamina etc, all power saving features.. but that limit hasnt changed..

Well, Thanks for your replies, both , it seems that even if i disable the "Extended Use" (something like that), if i don't restart the phone it doesnt stick, that's why the 48-50fps, when i reboot it, the fps went to the same range like yours.
the first one got to 69 if i remember correctly. The lowest one was the DNA thing
What u got in 3d test is not monitor refresh rate.

Well, just updated my i5800 to froyo 2.2 (jpf) and psx4droid is running really slow. i saw in other topics where ppl said driver was running smooth, mine its 10 fps. can someone please help me, what i need to do to improve the performance of the emulator ? im already it with every other app closed

just some more info: its rooted, and setcpu is on 667
looks no one wants to help... well after a day trying to understand, finally i got driver running at 50 fps.
The problem is, it shows 50 fps, but from my experience its not even 20, looks a loot slower, but playable if u have patience.
The setup i used :
bought 1.1.2 from market (px4droid v2)
Screen Refresh rate : 60
Frame Skipping : on
Cycling multiplyer : 6
screen size: stretched
aditionally, setcpu is on perfomance 667/667 , and closed everything on running apps. dont know why, but the emulator seens to gain some FPS's when the phone (not the emulator) is muted

Can someone help me to figure out why i'm getting these ridiculous benchmark points in Graphics 3D, i've tried every ROM of this forum, and i can't get more than 7500 points at 3D, when the normal is 15000 +.
Yeah, i know that it's just numbers blablabla, but i want my numbers back ! .O btw, the performance in games decreased at least 40% (in the better scenario) in all games... the overall performance of the ROM it's great, opens the apps very faster and the ROM is smooth and flawless, but this overall GPU performance it's driving me nuts.
(Yes, i already have tried to do a clean flash, dirty flash, to install the BOB4 bootloader + modem, to do factory reset, and the Economy Mode wasn't never turned on the benchmarks) but none of these "solutions" worked for me.)
Some will say that this is bad optimization by Samsung but i have seen another benchmarks from other members of this forum and they are getting high scores, like 52k +...

I have recently bought nvidia tegra note 7 and updated it almost immediately to lollipop(5.1). But now all the games that i have played or the benchmarks tested seemed to be stuck at 30 fps max. Have rooted this device and
i have recorded the fps using gamebench .
games include nova 3 ,real boxing and even glow hockey doesnt seem to go above the 30 fps mark.
benchmarks like quadrant and antutu also gives 30 fps locked on graphics benchmarks.
I have tried to set this on max performance mode from that hidden settings(using activity launcher) but still no improvement.
is there a workaround for this

I am running 5.1. I'm not sure if I'm locked to 30 fps. I don't think I am....
I don't think the hidden performance settings work on TN7. I think they only work for Shield Tablet.
Have you tried a full wipe? I'd also go into recovery and wipe there. 5.1 is quirky and you want to be sure you completely wiped the data and cache partitions.
Otherwise you could revert to 4.4. The performance settings definitely work on it.
So I upgraded my X compact to official Nougat 7.0 a couple of days back and on first impressions I noticed some lag here and there mostly when scrolling
And I knew that Snapdragon 650 is almost clos to SD810 so what could be the problem because it was awesomely fluid and smooth on MM 6.0.1, so I started to dig up and here's what I noticed:
In CPUz app on MM it shows Qualcomm SD 650 @ 1.8 GHz but today I looked it up and in Nougat it shows Qualcomm SD 650 @ 1.4 GHz!!! And if you look at cpu cores, those 2 last core Cpu4 and cpu5 are stopped (i guess those two are [email protected] cores right?)
So conclusion is that A72 cores which are the main core to maintain smoothness are offline for some reason so Im asking developers to dig this up and help us out

If there is no activity they should be stopped. My old Xperia M2 usually had only 1 core out of 4 active at the minimum clock. Then sure, if something was running in the background all 4 kicked at the hight clock.
I can't check right now with Nougat (my phone is currently updating to it. But it seems to take an awful lot of time. I think it has been updating for 20 minutes or more. Hopefully it's just updating all Dalvik caches or what they are now), but in Marshmallow all 6 cores were always active even with the CPU nearly idle. In my case I think that helped to cause the somehow high battery drain I had (that and plus wakelocks spamming all time).
But sure, if that means the phone will start lagging, screw it. I could deal with a day of battery life, I sure can't deal (again. And then again and again!) with a keyboard showing up after 1 or more seconds also missing the keys while swiping.
PS: it finally installed. You're right. Something definitively looks wrong with it. The cores 4 & 5 are disabled even with Google Play doing some apps updates. Unless it's because CPU Z isn't supporting Nougat yet. I'll have to investigate more via adb.
PPS: It might be the typical placebo effect but it actually feels even smoother now! So I am not sure what's going on.

I think I will make a fresh installation tomorrow.

you are too much dramatic...... there are some lag but not so much and not so drastic.....
and battery life is much much better on nougat

Maybe I am but smoothness in compact size was the one and only reason I went for this little guy
And whats the point of havin SD650 if there isnt any A72 cores to operate
And I really prefer a 100% fluid rom than a couple of hours more juice...

I agree with you, and hope in a future update to solve this bug(because it is obviously a bug), but for now I can live with this.... maybe I'm lucky, but I don't have big lags, just a little bit here and there..... hope in future 7.1.1 to solve that....
another thing I notice is a louder speaker sound.....

I confirm it doesn't lag for me. I checked scrolling through a long chat in Whatsapp and through the list of all my apps in Google Play (the latter has always been slow. Now it loads immediately, that's why I felt it was snappier). Then I tested with Antutu and I have got 74K (not sure why @dcro95 has got 80K, though).
Then if you look in Antutu/Info/CPU/More you see that for core 5&6 it says they are disabled. But at the same time it shows the percentage of their are activity (which, being the cores disabled, should be none). I didn't have time to check with adb, yet. But what I suspected and it seems to be confirmed by Antutu is that there might be a "bug" where the values for the cores active have the "read" flag cleared, like it happened with the minfree values in Lollipop with some Xperia (M2 for sure. It was "-w--w-----" instead of "rw-rw----".
Anyway, in case of your very noticeable lag I'd suggest to first check your stamina settings. If I enable the Stamina the phone lags immediately. Either with Nougat or Marshmallow.
Oh, and it mat not matter f you didn't enable the Stamina before upgrading. After the upgrade plenty of my configuration parameters simply went bananas. It changed my WiFi settings, removing the static address. And in the case of an app (but I imagine more of them at this point), it modified the login. I'm sure the login was correct because I had a widget for that app active (and working fine).
PS: my battery life still sucks, though. Actually it is even worse than before. I may have to backup, reset and restore the phone and see if it helps.

I had a customized FR ROM 34.1.A.3.49, I had the Nougat update by OTA.
I made some test with ANTUTU with Nougat ROM, the results are :
- 80160
- 75600
- 74600

Firstly, what Im saying is on microscopic scale, I do feel even the smallest amount of lag
The laging that comes up after turning on Stamina is waaaay more than the lag that I talked about in OP, of course that is big enough to be seen by anyone!
On android 6.0.1 I didnt see even the smallest lag absolutly nothing! but after the upgrade to 7.0 I was starting to see small lags here and there(you might not even see it! Im very sensitive in this case) like for example when you have 3 notifications try to open notification bar with slow to normal finger swipe down, it lags a little there, and other examples that i said before.
At first i thought maybe the rom is not well optimized but after I saw cpuz I was sure that those cores are off!
On android MM telegram messenger had no lags, nothing! But now it lags a lot when scrolling but i say again this "a lot" is in compariaon to MM! not to Xperia tipo!!!
So I am 100% positive that A72 1.8Ghz cores are not functioning.
Lets go and try to fix that, or wait for an update to fix it.

Same for me, after reboot and used photos, th� where actived and cpu turn at 1.8ghz. 5min after they where disable. I think it depend cpu use. I ve no lag.

Hmmm.. Nope, my friend. You talked about a lot of lag: these are your very own words: "it is lagging very bad in many places"
Now if the problem is that you perceive a microlag that could be. With Lagdroid I learned how to ignore that for good.
.
So I am 100% positive that A72 1.8Ghz cores are not functioning.
Lets go and try to fix that, or wait for an update to fix it.

So what you say is that those cores are functioning normally but its juat showing them sleep right?!?
Then please tell me whats the reason on these even small lags?
Those dont matter actually, I need to know why I cant play spiderman unlimited and asphalt 8 on ultra setting like before

See 4 a53 1.4GHz are enough for daily usage but on heavy usage its obiouse that those a72 cores are missing
But there is one probibility, that those guys become active on very high usage like antutu! But I guess thats gonna be VERY HIGH!

Not exactly.
This chart is for the sd865.
Mi11 has a sd888, so the voltage levels will be different.
The basic idea is the same. But it requires testing and proofing.

Great guide, this post definitely deserves more views. Got one question: if my goal frequency is (let's say) 660MHz, isn't it better to set ddr7 and ddr8 max values to 11? Would it squeeze out more performance at max load, in your opinion?

Not really. The ddr timings are not really set for balanced performance.
Trottling happens alot, so finding a balance give overall better performance than burst performance thatxthen gives lower results due tocthe time to cool being longer than the time to heat up.
I was able to get a higher antutu score than stock at 670, with timings between 4-9
But its all based on user preference and work loads. These settings work excellently well for me.
The big difference though is the voltage table. Less electricity going in creates less heat.
The ram timings are just a minor tweak to add a bit more to the clock. Its the voltage that really changed big time for me. Lower volts, less heat, longer time at high clocks.

I have a OnePlus 9R (SNAP 870) and it's hot, I'm looking for an undervolt on it but I can't find anything, could you give me some direction?
Use this table from this post in this video.
Max freq on Poco F3 is 683Mhz you have to try if can be overclock higher but Undervolt is still possible as all phones.
I recommend new version 0.15 on two lower freq retention and min_svs or low svs on third and do like in this table so 670 voltage SVS_L2.
I don't think that Snapdragon 870 is good choice for gaming better is to buy 865 and overclock to 950Mhz or 1ghz giving snapdragon 888 performance with lower temps than 870 and 888.
If you do root try to underclock CPU to 865+ 3ghz or 2.9ghz to lower temps performance difference isn't noticable.

things just update faster than I have time to test.
my charts became old, even the one Dr.Brown is using on his video, its quite old missing voltage steps and have not been tested on the newer versions of Konabess.
my original thread here took about 3 months of my time testing every possible setting to make sure other users didnt brick or toast their devices.
I took everything down when I seen alot of new rom updates, and konabess updates were causing bugs in the settings I had here for many users.
I didn't have time to retest everything and update my charts, I also had to deal with people stealing my charts and claiming the work for them selves. which I had to open youtube reports, contact google with proof of my work contact admins here and a few other sites too, etc all because some people didn't want to add a credit of where they found my charts.
so after a good week of emailing and chatting on the phone with google fraud control i decided to not continue posting my work, that may actually cause damage if used wrongly was too much work to deal with.
I'm still just too busy. my phone is stock android non rooted now because some apps I use can't be hidden.
so, I have no time to update this thread. I have no desire to leave the information for others to brick their devices.
the chart on dr.browns video is older than my most up to date chart, but still even that is months behind the current app and rom version changes.
my best advice is, if your phone works the way you want it, dont mess with any of the clock speeds. just undervolt some steps that are commonly used and test those.
too many people have tried to overclock their phones GPUs above 900 and lost functionality (permanently) or just hard bricked the phone (where an unbrick tool wont recover it.)
many will say its harmless, but its about usage. if you game alot and want to game alot, overclocking will create more heat, even if you undervolt. the result will be a paperweight.
those many people are not you, and not your phone. so anything can happen.
be mindful and careful of the settings you use. and install a temperature monitor for CPU and GPU.
going over 70'c will risk the loss of your unit.

Perfect understood Patrick, it's a shame all this happened, unfortunately people don't give value/recognition to people who help for free!
I'll enjoy and tell you my experience, my 9R is on OOS 11.2.6.6 (Stock) and with Kernel Stock as well (since there isn't much customization yet)
They ended up recommending the Dr. Brown video and I decided to do some tests, if the person copies the Overclock that he does in that video (905MHz) the device will not start, it will be necessary to flash the previous boot.img
This happened to me and I was able to reverse the situation (probably because the KERNEL does not support such clocks that would even be unnecessary)
But on his channel there is a more recent video teaching how to Underclock and so I took the clock's as a base and started to make my fine adjustments
Clocks follow this pattern; 512 - 490 - 455 - 445 - 305 - 295 - 195
Voltages as per your chart; SVS_L2 - SVS_L1 _ SVS_L0 - SVS_L0 - LOW_SVS - LOW_SVS - LOW_SVS
And the BUS frequencies I left original, so I found SWEET SPOT, the device is much cooler, stable, in games despite the Underclock holding well (80 FPS+ with graphics at maximum)
Hopefully there will soon be some app/kernel that can undervolt the CPU too, maybe just remove -25mv/-50mv and do some testing as most of the heat comes from it.
I'm quite satisfied and I'm grateful to you because without your charts in Dr. Brown's video, wouldn't know how to do!

I recommend Overclocking by your self to higher freq.
This config from video don't boot on any sn865 devices even Apollo but I can overclock to 940 MHz stable.
I know that Poco F3 has lock freq to 683 MHz after that doesn't boot.
I think your UV is too high 512 can get as low as SVS_L1 or SVS_L0

This config from video don't boot on any sn865 devices even Apollo but I can overclock to 940 MHz stable.
I know that Poco F3 has lock freq to 683 MHz after that doesn't boot.
I think your UV is too high 512 can get as low as SVS_L1 or SVS_L0

Unfortunately on the OnePlus 9R (all stock) any clock higher than the original (670 MHz) the system doesn't boot (I don't know why, maybe some ROM limitation or KERNEL doesn't support it)
I ended up Underclocking to have a cooler device and in fact it is cooler without loss of performance in normal use and holding up well in games at maximum graphics
No artifacts, crashing or instability
As for the voltage on 512, it could really go with SVS_L1 - it goes between SVS_L2 and L1 on Patrick's Chart (525 - 512 - 490 MHz) I intend to do a test soon, for now it's stable and in games it doesn't get too hot!

No it is lock by Qualcomm to that freq so of doesn't boot it like 855+/860.
That why I buy Mi 10T with 865 and can be overclock to even 2ghz by someone.

Understood, a custom KERNEL doesn't unlock this lock by Qualcomm?

Maybe can by i case of 855+ was lock on all phones from manufacturer process.
But early builds of F3 has unlock freq but after that they are block that why buying 865 is better if you want performance for gaming or emulation like switch. I now play Zelda breath of the wild on my Mi 10 t and after 168days will be Overclocking to 940Mhz giving me performance of 888.
