Desire HD + Jawbone Icon - Desire HD General

Hi guys,
Just to check anyone encounter issue when using Desire HD (I'm currently using custom rom from Andriod Revolution HD 3.2 with 2.6.32.33_ Buzz Sense 1.3.8.2 OCUV Kernel) with Jawbone Icon.
The problem that I'm facing is when I make or receive call from the JB Icon, the other party could not hear what I say but I could hear them clearly.
At first, I though I bought a lemon BT so I decide to test it out using my wife iphone 4. It work perfectly with any issues.
Any advise would be greatly appreicated.
Thanks

I've been using the Icon with Desire HD (Android 2.2.1/original ROM) for a while, no problems here.

No problems with my icon on DHD, LeeDroid's 5.5 gb.

In-call quality with Cyanogenmod 7 on the ""TELUS"" DHD

anyone running the latest CM7 on their DHD?
im currently running android revolution HD 3.0 and i gotta say that the In-call quality is really bad. I even installed a zip file through clockworkmod that is supposed to fix it, but the tinny sound is still present
I read somewhere that CM7 latest nightly release includes a fix for the speaker n all. anyone can confirm if the quality is any better?
The tinny sound has been fixed since nightly #11 I believe. Running Cm7 rc2 now, no sound problems with that either.

Poor sound during phone calls

Could poor sound quality be a result of flashing to the newest radio for my phone? It sounds very "tinny". But I rooted the phone and went to core Droid 4.5 right away so I'm mot sure if that's just the way it is. Any info would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Flash radio will help while not means you must have the newest. For example, if you are using 1.32 then 12.28b will be better, 1.72 will have 12.28e sf, 1.84 will have 12.35 ...... And this is not a rule, just some collected experience.
Well in my about phone it says I'm on gb 2.3.3 HTC sense 2.1 and baseband 12.35d

I have been using CoreDroid 7 and have switched roms to LeeDroid and still have the same poor sound quality, but this morning I flashed CM7 and surprisingly the sound quality was perfect. I'm not sure if its the kernal that is the problem as I have the matching ril for the radio that im using (telus wwe) but I flashed coredroid 7 again after hearing how good the sound was but the poor quality returned. Is this a sense3 issue or can anyone explain what I can do to fix the sound quality. sorry for my noobness
Found a Audio fix patch for Telus branded DHD so now i'm a totally happy camper

[Q] Best HTC Wildfire rom.

Hi all!
I recently bought a HTC Wildfire, and I want to put a custom rom on it, I know how it works, but what is the best rom around? I need a fast rom that doesnt drain my battery life like sense does. It also needs to be steady, I really don't like bugs/crashes.
thanks in advance,
Ruben302
ive recently just rooted and cyanogenmod7 is working perfectly for me, much quicker than sense and also easier on the battery as well and also has options to overclock within the rom
Ive tried wildpuzzle and cyanogenmod 7.03 and one of the latest nightlys too,its a choice they are both great I can't make my mind up which to stick with Coz I do love sense Widgets but cyanogenmod is the latest and greatest, but I have gone back to wildpuzzle again coz I miss senses style and it does look better in my opinion.

guys so cm7 is better??
does it have dsp and all ?
Yes it does. As for if it is better - ROM choice is a personal thing, but, I am using CM7 and am personally very happy with it.
I think joker Droid looks good if you like sense roms. I've not tried it myself but I intend to check it out soon!

dhd

anyone can tell for a perfect rom for dhd fully functional
Start here or here.
It's best you choose and try for yourself. Check out some screenshots too from the rom threads for style/experience ideas. Plus a couple of screenshots in my sig.
I've tried most of the ROMs in the devs section and I have to say that the Virtuous Unity ROMs are the most complete for me. It looks the business, runs fast and efficiently, and is 99% fully functional from first boot. The 1% left over is the best part about it though as this is fixed with patches almost instantly showing true commitment from the ROM developers and supporting devs in the very pages of this forum. The additional patches sometimes available not only fix problems but help improve the VU experience itself, ie, bulletproof tweaks.
Hopes this helps!

Ive been running cyanogenmod7 on and off since i first rooted (about two weeks ago) ive tried MIUI amd a couple of sence roms. leedroid and er3bus by jsl but keep going back to CM7
i think im going to stick with CM7 for now.
Best thing to do is just flash a few and see how they go for you. Everyone is different everyone likes different things.
fully functional, including dolby mobile and camera is deffinatly Revolution HD 5.2.6 and 6.1 except the small camera bug.
I am using 6.1 now...
I'm really into MIUI at the moment. (1.8.26 because 1.9.26 has an Android Market crash bug for some people.) It's quite a different visual experience all the way through.
I especially like the Launcher transition effects (cube), the option of up to 9 homescreens, the style of the popup windows, plus links to cool wallpapers etc. The only thing I didn't like were the ringtones so I installed the CyanogenMod ones.
The first time I tested it - I wasn't into it. I was CM7 for a long time.
EDIT: The Android Market bug mentioned above is actually addressed and quickly and easily fixed as per the FAQ.
`Just go to Menu > Settings > System > Language & Input Settings
And change your language to English (United States)'
+1 MIUI was the ROM that I was on for the longest of time. The support of the community is huge and there is an update every friday so you dun really need to check out the forum every now and then to see whether an update is out
It is a very stable ROM for everyday use and the newest version' kernel should be quite battery friendly as I am getting 2ma drain on standy which never happened before (Previously it was 4ma) and this is with WIFI + 3G + facebook + google sync on every 15 minutes.
Funny I just set my phone up with miui yesterday just to give it another go. I'm really liking it so far. (Don't think I'd fully set it up the last time before ditching it.)
I'm not a fan of the ringtones tho how did you install the CM7 ones?

Yeah I was the same - I don't think I set it up and gave it a chance before when I tried it.
To get the CM7 ringtones - download the CM7 rom (which is just a zip/archive file). Double click it to open it and go to system - media - audio - ringtones. Copy any or all of the ringtones you like.
Then on your phone - SD card - MIUI - ringtone - paste the ringtones.
Then you have a cool phone, rom AND ringtones.
Women love guys like us!
Got it sorted. Thanks man.

Try to use ARHD.
I took MIUI off again. I charged my phone on Saturday night took it off charge about 8 on Sunday morning and by lunchtime had 50% battery, I'd only sent 3 texts and made one phonecall (which didn't connect) it could have been leedroids kernal as I was trying it out too but as for now I'm back with CM7

Time to change rom

last time i tried a ICS or jellybean rom was about 5 or 6 months ago, they all looked promising but all had little quirks like gps problems , camera not great quality, audio etc etc, bluetooth. this kinda put me off them as i need my phones features to work.
Just wondering if any of the latest roms have managed to iron out these problems ? EG gps is important to me and works well in ARHD.
Id love to try the latest jellybean release but kinda worried ill start finding bugs again once i start using it.
Are you interested only in AOSP based or in Sense ROMS as well?

Would like to try something other than sense based, tried sabsa for a while but didnt really get on with it, found ARHD faster and less laggy after a few days.
codefireX. There are a few small bugs but everything important works perfectly. You can try the CM10.1 nightlies too, but any bugs in those will depend on the CM team fixing them. The developer only builds from CM source and doesn't focus on bug fixes because his priority is codefireX.

Thanks for that , gps is working good with this rom ?
Yes, it works very well. I get a quick lock with 8-11 satellites. Only problem for me is my GPS antenna cover which has become loose and I need to fix. Many people have this problem with the DHD/I4G. The ROM has no problem with GPS.

try Jelly Time rom it's stable
2 days ago I installed PACman v19.3. It's a JB rom, clean, fast interface (Trebuchet launcher), many settings to customize your device (overclocking CPU included). The only thing I had to install to get it fully working was KangBang kernel v2.4 to get my WiFi working.
So far, I'm really pleased with this rom, it runs much faster and smoother than Sense based roms and you have more RAM available for aplications (I'm always on around 250-350 mb free in RAM).
I've been using JellyTime for months and had no issues with it, now its moved onto 4.2 I think its amazing. I'm a heavy web and navigation user with Bluetooth and not had any major issues.

I sincerely recommend ViperDHD v2.1.1 I had the best ROM on your Desire HD everything works. Read the section of the ROMs. S all works.
ViperDHD might be a good choice if you want to simulate One X. But performance and quality wise (undersized rosie aka one x screen emulation, some poorly resized icons), its not so good when compared to other Sense4 ROMS.

I really recommend taking a look at sci miui by a user. Been running it for about 2 weeks and its the smoothest rom I've ran, granted its based on gingerbread but If you want reliability you won't get much better

I have been waiting for a stable JB ROM for a long time as well, but was continuously following the development and reviews of most of the ROMs.
Last week I've decided that it is time to try a JB ROM, because most of them reports very few or none issues.
I've installed JellyTime 6.1, and I have to say I'm extremely satisfied. It is rock stable, camera works perfectly, excellent audio quality, GPS had a little problem which was resolved by updating to the latest RADIO, and everything else just works great.
So the new Android 4.2 features were definitely worth the upgrade.
Like -SmOgER said, ViperDHD is a good ROM but has some laggs which get worse over time (just for me; may different for others).
I recommend using Sabsa Prime. Please try V12 first because it's Sense 4 Lite and quite fast. The current V13 is quite laggy but smoother than ViperDHD.
May you want to try Sabsa Prime V14 which will be uploaded in the minute I'm writing this.
If you want a Sense-Free Rom I' recommend this one http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2093845
Lags are not really a problem if you use supercharger from zeppelinrox and set the engine flush script on a scheduler to run from time to time.
Is there "developer options" in JellyTime 4.2?
I cannot find it in system settings.
Thanks.

Yes. It's written in Jellytime OP:

Have you selected all performance mods in aroma? Try setting backgr process limit to 4 as well. For me, there is almost no lag at all. It's at least as fast as v12, if not faster
