[APP] O2 UK free web sms - Android Software Development

Hi,
I've just created this app for myself and wanted to share in case it's useful to anyone else.
It sends SMS via O2 UK web, you can store your web login/password and access your contacts / store sent messages in global db so accessible via other messaging clients.
It's very beta, so don't expect too much - tested only in emulators an my Galaxy S.

Desktop SMS/MMS Manager

Hello,
I recently purchased an O2 XDA Orbit, and I am very happy mith my new mobile apart from one thing. On my old mobile (Samsung D500) and previously a Nokia, I have had a software package provided with them that is able to manage SMS / MMS to either view/delete/save.
But the most usefull function is to be able to send/recieve SMS via desktop application (using a keyboard), as at work I don't want them to see how often I use my mobile. Also, as it takes quite alot of time to write an SMS/Reply it is alot easier to use a keyboard.
So I am woundering if anybody knows a software package that will do all of the above on Windows Mobile 5?
Cheers Guy
You can use Jeyo Mobile Companion. That does the same..

help with email!

I can view the emails in the window live panels and messenger works prefectly. The problem is when I try to reply the emails, it shows up a message saying the email cannot be sent at the moment, please try again later (or something like that, my x1 is now in Chinese )
The only way for me to sent email now is to log into the hotmail through internet explorer but this way uses up much more time and if anyone knows the solution, please help me out.
I have unlimited web browsing bolt on the O2 network.

[Q]Recommend app or website to use Windows Live Messenger, TMobile HD2

Hello,
T-Mobile HD2 has windows live software, however, every time I use it for chatting with friends, it is treated as text message so it's kind of expensive when chat a lot through messenger.
So is there any good app or website to use Windows Live Messenger chat, which only uses data plan instead of text message? Someone before recommended www.meebo.com, but it is not working correctly in Opera browser.
Thanks.
ebuddy is perfect. dl it from market. it supports msn,icq and many more

Trillian

I use IM heavily for work - corporate Jabber server, GTalk, AIM, Windows Live are all in play during my day.
One of the big problems I have with a tablet is that when I want to get up and leave my desktop and bring my chat with me, different services use different criteria for where to send new messages.
- Some send to the last client that sent a message out.
- Some send to the client with the highest priority ID (set in expert settings in most clients)
- Some send to the last client to log in.
In short, it's a mess, and I always wind up missing messages because of it. Logging out on the PC and in on the tablet manually is a bummer too when you want to just grab it and go.
I just downloaded the new Trillian release, which works on Honeycomb. I happen to be using Trillian on my Win7 machine as well. Check out the release notes:

It works as advertised. Chat history (both directions) are mirrored on all connected clients, and I can seamlessly chat between any of them. I can even load it up on my iPhone if I'm leaving the house.
History is stored serverside as well, so you have chat logs on all clients.
I'm NOT affiliated with Cerulean. I didn't even like Trillian that much in general until now. I just think it's probably the best chat client for Honeycomb or any mobile device just for this feature that works across ALL IM networks. Not just Google Talk.
Yep. I have been using trillian for 5 years. Love it.
I stopped using Trillian when they switched to a central server configuration and had my information/chats on their servers. Wish they offered a standalone IM app for Android, they did make a very nice chat program prior to that switch.
me tooo been using it for years

Downloading the same emails over and over and over....

Hi all
does anybody know how to stop this phone from downloading the same emails over and over again?
It gets a bit boring trawling through them everyday
Thanks
Is that not at the email server end .
Settings delete emails after download or something like that .
jje
The best setting I could find was to sync the email for 1 day and not 1 week which is what the factory preset is,lol
I do not know who your email server provider is but google servers for example -which are serving quite a few companies - provide options in the form of key words in front of your name. So your example if your name is "testname" in the filed name you can put
recent:testname
this will download only the recent emails, since the last time you logged in. Search in your email service provider for similar options.
I use this virgin in UK. They are using google email services.
