I can view the emails in the window live panels and messenger works prefectly. The problem is when I try to reply the emails, it shows up a message saying the email cannot be sent at the moment, please try again later (or something like that, my x1 is now in Chinese )
The only way for me to sent email now is to log into the hotmail through internet explorer but this way uses up much more time and if anyone knows the solution, please help me out.
I have unlimited web browsing bolt on the O2 network.

Hi
probably a really simplw question but how do I get the attachments from my emails?
I have been using my wifi when out and about to receive my emails. I get the mails no problem but theres no way I can see to get the attachments. the little attachments symbol is next to em but don't know how to get em
cheers
did'nt think i'd have to reply to me own msg but what the hell!
You realise this is a forum, not a chatboard, AND it's christmas eve right?
Anyway, I tried opening at attachment on one of my emails. Just clicked the link at the bottom of the email to get the full msg + attachments, it said it would get it next time I checked my mail. Since the phone happened to already be checking I waited a bit, and now I'm looking at a .doc file I sent to my school. It's displayed at the top of the email and when I tap it, it opens in word mobile.
So I'm not sure what's not working for you, but maybe this helps?
thanks for the reply mate. nah no msg at the bottom of the email. there is on my isp email but nothing when I get my hotmail on my xda. maybe it's cus its hotmail??
cheers
Ahh... can't help you there then, I don't use hotmail, only gmail (through pop3 access).
no problem mate. thers gotta be a way to view the attachments on hotmail accounts when getting via the xda outlook.
cheers anyway
Hi, just got the AT&T Tilt and I'm searching for a way to view my hotmail attachments... I see the little attachment icon (paperclip) but I cannot open it... anyone have the answer yet?
hi all
had this problem for alittle while not and I'm out of ideas!
Basically I have two messenger accounts, but since about a week ago, I cannot sign into the one I use most when I use pocket msn. All I get is the login failed message.
I haven't added any new software or changed anything else. Was wondering if anyone else had encountered a similar problem or even had a solution.
have tried soft resets and would prefer not to have to do a hard reset if at all possible.
any help would be greatly appreciated.
Try signing in via WIFI. I believe t-mobile is blocking msn.
Surur
If they are I've just managed to sign in to MSN messenger with a GPRS connection on t-mobileuk.

I am able to sign in on my other msn a/c so I don't think they're blocking msn.........
Anybody??
Is this using Web & Walk? As T-Mobile expressly state this is currently against the T&C's it's not hard to imagine that they are making an attempt to block it.

As I said and even charms who is having the problem stated, they are not blocking access to MSN, we are both able to sign in with one account, I don't have another account to check with but charms does and is not able to sign into his second account. I think this is probably more to do with a problem in pocketmsn configuration rather than anything sinister coming from t-mobile.
Still no joy with a resolve
Anybody got a suggestion? I used to be able to sign in it just stopped working. I notice a few others have had a similar prob - has nobody got any suggestion?
Pretty please!! lol
MSN and Yahoo Messengers trying to charge SMS rates?
After reading Charms' post, I started wondering whether my PocketPC Messenger sign-ons are being blocked by my Thailand data-servicer provider DTAC, or else by MSN's exchange server. Either way, I refuse to sign up to pay for online chat messages as SMS messages. Heck nay, we won't pay!
I was using Pocket MSN Messenger every day during January and February, and then suddenly my sign-on was blocked for no reason. The error message varies between "Service not available" and "Username and/or password do not exist," but I can still sign on from fullsize computers.
I had already installed the Pocket MSN Messenger security update for WM2003SE and the 128-bit encryption and it worked fine afterward. The sign-on failures started without any change in software or other functionality.
My research on Google indicates that Yahoo may have colluded with Microsoft to simultaneously begin blocking Pocket Messenger users from text-chatting until they sign up with their mobile service providers to pay for the chat messages as SMS text messages. Outrageous!!! Yahoo in early 2005 withdrew its server support for Yahoo Pocket Messenger and refused to process any further Yahoo PocketPC Messenger chat connections thru its servers. Has MSN started doing the same?
MSN and Yahoo both now ask users to sign up with the user's GPRS/phone service provider for Messenger chat capability, with an SMS charge for each chat message that is sent! An outrageous market ploy that should be crushed by consumer opposition, IMHO. Text chats are just like any other data and should be included in the data service charge, just like before. I tried the alternate PocketPC Messenger programs IM+ and AgileMessenger but I found out that other users also report AgileMessenger being blocked by the Yahoo exchange servers.
MSN now charging how much to "activate" Pocket Mes
Okay, after I just posted my first message, I looked at another thread and downloaded the latest MSN Messenger from Microsoft. The License requires you to agree to whatever charges may be applied by your phone/data service provider. After installing, it asks you to continue on to "activate" your Messenger installation:
"After verifying that Pocket MSN has downloaded on your mobile device, click Next to activate your Pocket MSN account. You will be prompted to sign in and provide credit card information on the next page."
But the next page comes up blank. WTF? How much are they trying to charge, and is it a yearly fee from MS or a per-message fee from the data service provider?
I had already "activated" online several months ago, with no result. Still can't log on with Pocket Messenger although my notebook computer logs on just fine.
i looked on the web and in these forum and i cant find a yahoo messenger or all in 1 the oz messenger doesnt let me send pics or join a conference i tried agile but its not free if anyone stumblze across one let me know cuz i dont wanna pay for a yahoo messenger wen i am just gonna write like 5 people thanks for the help in advance..
If you want to use a YIM-compatible interface that allows those things, you're probably going to have to pay. Not only for the software, but in data transfer (unless you spring for an unlimited data plan).
Even with unlimited data, though, file transfers will be painfully slow on GPRS. WiFi is better, but you're anchored to a location, then.
And on a personal side-note: Better grammar will get you a lot more responses. Nobody minds deciphering for non-native English, but you clearly are just street-ing everything to sound "Kewl." This isn't English Lit 495, but please, communicate effectively if you expect the same in return.
so what is yim
I use Slick it does Yahoo, AIM, ICQ, MSN, Jabber, and Google Talk.

Sorry, Yahoo Instant Messenger = YIM.
My military penchant for acronyms has betrayed me again.
Yahoo messenger, u may try
You can try the one available here, its free btw:
http://yahoo-messenger.en.softonic.com/pocket
Though it installed alright on my phone but somehow couldn't log in just kept saying "connecting" maybe someone can try it and let us know how to connect.
I would personally reccomend Palringo, availible at http://www.palringo.com, it is also free, and supports AIM, YIM, GIM, MSN/LIVE, ICQ and more....been using it since the Excalibur came out so I know its good!

Here is my stats:
Cingular 8525
Windows Mobile 5 (out of the box, no upgrades)
I was using Pocket MSN to get my hotmail and use it pretty frequently.
But every so often I would send someone a SMS and they would tell me that it had a bunch of extra text. I ask what text and they would read it and it would be text from hotmail emails!
I would check my "sent" SMS folder and didn't see it.
I looked at the phone of the person who got the message and it had my SMS on top but the continued with text from a hotmail email.
I search the forums and saw where someone else had the problem but no solution was offered.
Please help!
Can anyone corroborate that this is accurate?
All my contacts are in Outlook, I should be safe when I hard reset.
Thanks!
it happened to me on my wizard with wm5. i think it is a corrupted cemail.vol file. i tried every which way to delete it, but it would not go away. even tried loading backups of the whole phone and it seemed to help for a couple of weeks but it would do it again. only thing that finally worked was a hard reset unfortunately.
...and if you look at the sent texts it won't show what hotmail was attached to it but if you use jeyo mobile companion to look at the texts it will show it. go figure
I'm using Opera and going into my Yahoo mail box and I can read my mails but when I go to reply to an email within yahoo the keyboard will not come up so I'm not able to type anything in the reply message body but if I tap in the address section the keyboard comes up...
