So the question now comes, since Verizon's LTE uses a SIM card (verified by cracking open a co-workers TBolt), will the EVO 3D use a SIM slot since its LTE capable, and If so will we be able to "borrow" a verizon LTE SIM and pop it into the phone.

Like the person above me said, it doesn't have LTE. According to Sprint and HTC, it only has WiMAX.

Bogus, was hoping the rumors would have held water.
Unfortunately, yes that sucks, buy big deal.

Anyone plan on switching once this phone is released. I'm really thinking about it..
[G2/HTC Vision]
I'm thinking about grabbing one. The lack of a trackpad has me wondering though and I really prefer dedicated camera buttons. Also, with the battery woes that have plagued the Evo and other 4 inchers I'm notkeen on taking the plunge.
Im honestly not 100 percent sure. I do love my G2, of course, but most likely I will try to pick one up. I've been wanting a 4.3 incher for a while but it wasn't available on tmobile other than the HD2. The sensation is a beautiful device and I already know its going to get a lot of dev support.

If only it had a keyboard *sigh*

Frankly, and though this may not be a very popular opinion in this forum, SGS2 completely destroys Sensation. I'm so tired of HTC's constant corner-cutting (crappy speakers, terrible cameras, RAM, internal memory etc.)
Only thing Sensation has going for it is possibly superior developer support.
Yes the sgs2 has better specs. But samsung is known for their out of the box issues. Look at the nexus s. Vibrant. List goes on. I stay far away from samsung devices. Plus touchwiz completely blows. The new sense 3.0 looks amazing. My wife actually picked up the g2x and it is a amazing device as well. My options are betweeen those 2.

I must agree. Htc does great job on firmware side. Samsung otherwise makes great job on hardware side. If there would be an option for Samsung hardware and htc Sense 3.0 there wouldn't be questioning which phone at least i would buy. Super amoled is just something extraordinary with all the other hardware specs..

ill be picking one up, fiancee will be getting my G2.
I personally doubt i'll be taking the leap towards a 4"+ model. Brother has the DHD and it feels HUGE in my hand, not as comfortable when making a call when compared to my DZ.
With a lack of a trackpad and no physical keyboard, i'll wait until HTC releases their next flagship phone with those features. Perhaps a Sensation 2.0 with trackpad, keyboard and dedicated camera button??
G2x or Sensation. Just waiting for the sensation to come out to decide which one to get.

From what I've heard it does not support att's 3g bands but att may be buying tmobile anyway so kinda works itself out.

Nope, I'm ditching the G2 as soon as the Sensation comes out! Man, that phone is beautiful!

According to HTC's spec site, http://www.htc.com/www/product/sensation/specification.html
HSPA/WCDMA: Europe/Asia/T-Mobile US: 900/AWS/2100 MHz
Quad-band GSM/GPRS/EDGE: 850/900/1800/1900 MHz
Which tells me that the Sensation is a world phone and supports the same bands that Rogers uses for their 3G up here, so it should work on AT&T's 3G network in the states!

What do you mean? The specs you listed show that there is currently no 850/1900 HSPA support...
HTC Sensation 4G official: 1.2GHz dual-core, qHD display, and Sense 3.0 yes thank you.

I would consider to buy HTC Sensations, unless at the time it is available, there is other phone with higher specs
I love my DZ, the only disadvantages is the screen size and poor processor ;(
I'll give a try for the Sensation. The only requirement is to be able to see what's written on my screen in a sunny day (which is not the case with my Dz, getting mad of having to make shadow to see my screen, even with full luminosity)
Nope. Why fix what isn't broken?
I will be switch to sensation when its released deving there for everyone.
I work for a company that provides cell service and my 2 years contract is expiring soon. I am eligible for a new device. I have had a Droid X on my personal plan, but plan to sell it once I get the upgraded business device.
Here is what my company supports - which one should I get and why?
AT&T - Apple iPhone 4 32GB Black
AT&T - HTC Inspire 4G
AT&T - HTC Tilt 2
Sprint - HTC EVO 4G
T-Mobile - myTouch 4G Black
T-Mobile Samsung Galaxy S 4G
Verizon - Apple iPhone 4 32GB
Verizon - Thunderbolt by HTC
Verizon - LG Vortex
Verizon - LG Ally
Verizon - Motorola Droid 2 Global
Not much of an option, IMO. TIA.
What's important to you? Keyboard? Battery?
As mrkite said, what's important to you? AT&T in this area, NYC Metro, still has poor service and a 2gB data cap so scratch their phones for me. T-Mobile is probably going to be gobbled up by AT&T so they're out.
The iPhone doesn't have a user replaceable battery and it wouldn't last me through the day, that and the Thunderbolt (which has poor battery life) are off the list. I'd also rather have Android over Apple.
The LG phones are pretty old so that leaves the Droid 2 Global. I have a Droid X and really want an LTE phone but don't see one that I like yet. Maybe by September.
My droid x has decent battery life -
what's important: battery life, coverage, 4g, android (gb preferred), software keyboard.
You're not impressed with the bionic or other 4g phones out now or soon?
I'm weary of the bionic, as I'm not particularly happy about the screen (pen-tile), web top shadow os and the distinct possibility of a locked bootloader. So, if possible, I would wait for the next round of phones, or wait for a sgs II, that looks amazing. If not, get a thunderbolt. It has tons of dev's working on it and they do make extended battery's.

First things first, go Verizon.
Battery life: get the iPhone
Speed: HTC Thunderbolt
Plus, as was mentioned, the TB has a ton of dev work on it so you could probably do a bit more.
Sent from my DROIDX using XDA App
DO NOT GET AN IPHONE UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES.
That being said, go for either the thunderbolt or the evo. Both are excellent phones
Wow - many thanks for your responses!

If you are already an Android user, I'd stick with that. Final response for me: Thunderbolt

+1 for the Evo. Rom of choice, MIUI! No 4geez, but it is buttery smooth and battery life is superb. No data cap is pretty darn swell too, and Sprint seems to be pretty stinkin root friendly.
(Or hope your company allows the Evo 3D soon...)
Sprint - HTC EVO 4G I know HTC battery sucks but this was what I was going to get before we made the switch to Verizon
If you can, I would wait as long as possible, and see if any better choices come out before you need to upgrade. The Thunderbolt it a nice-ish phone, but it doesn't have dual-core...
Maybe if Motorola comes out with a new, dual-core, 4G phone, with an unlocked bootloader...and maybe a supermodel will knock on my door tonight...

There actually is 4g. It says so in its name......
So after having my G2 for around 10 months I'm getting kinda bored of it now...haha
Is there any other new android phone that is comparable in any way? I've been looking at the sensation 4g and it seems to be the only phone that catches my interest.
The things I find lacking in the g2 is mainly the speaker and camera quality, a better screen would be nice too (those samsung amoled are awfully pretty)
Any info about the sensation 4g we should know or other recommended phones?
G2x, Sensation, and Nexus S are about the only tmobile phones nicer than ours. Other than your either staying in the same realm or downgrading. Mytouch 4g slide = garbage.
I also am interested in the Sensation but I feel like there this year more T-Mobile phones will be released. I would hold off until after the ATT deal finishes
I have to agree with steven, the mytouch *g slides have been traditionally awful.
