I want to say its almost a certainty.
WINNING!
Based on what? So far the GSM Nexus S has none of the problems associated with the Galaxy S or it's variants so it would actually be more likely it would not have the TWS bug.

Based on the fact that AFAIK every Sprint android phone has had it.
don't get me wrong, I'm definitely picking one up but I'm expecting it.
I never encountered the TWS Bug on the Evo and never saw a single thread about it in the 5 months I used it.

I stand corrected. I thought my wife's had it when I checked but looking at it now doesn't seem to.
So I'm gonna say 50/50 chance.
I say odds are 0%. Read this thread where the bug is dissected and a patch developed. It states clearly that this is an android bug, not a samsung bug, and that the offending code was totally rewritten in Gingerbread.

Be sure to read post #14
i would say very slim since this was addressed in 2.3

I am yet to read any complaints (unlike every Galaxy S variant where there was a huge stink made about them all having the same problems) and even the Reviews don't mention any.

I want to say none whatsoever because the bug that causes it is fixed in Gingerbread.

Dammit man. I got all excited... then cryed when I read your post.
^ Eugene is working on froyo, it is stable... only issue I think unresolved is the headphone jack.

Awesome, can't wait. I've had a couple Android phones and never thought to build my own rom (G1, MyTouch). But with this one I think I'm going to dive into it. I run Ubuntu and don't think it should be that much of a leap but I'm having a hard time figuring out where to get started on Samsung devices. Plenty of HTC/Windows info out there.
Looks like Eugene is the man on the vibrant. I've been starting to follow him. Hopefully he keeps it up, we need someone lime him.
I think/hope that Eugune is my new go-to-guy on my Vibrant like benbuchacher was on my G1.

i thank you for bringing back an old repressed memory....back to the topic, i have yet to receive the update...im hoping htc did some actual work rather then take code from these hardworking devs but with several people stating that its only 53fps it sounds more then likely they just scavenged what worked and pushed it out

Yeah man, it sucks.
my cousin hopped on forums left and right to let people know the devs found a way around the fps cap with total disregard to other posts, then he fought me tooth and nail when i tried to root his phone so i could flash it with the new kernal telling me its not worth the risk of bricking it, i told him it was a reward for letting so many people know and since then he has yet to post a new thread anywhere...
Guys who cares just upload it so we can root it

Pretty sad that we finally got Froyo (albeit unofficial) the same week that iPhone did.

Yep, i did. Kinda interesting that iPhone got froyo before we did.
Thought there'd be a few opinions on it. If not, no big deal, that's the way forums work. You post, if people want to talk about it, they do, if not it goes away (or people who dont want to talk about it can be a smartass and keep it at the top). Not like i posted in the dev section.
wowwww iphone has froyo and my epic 4g still doesn't officially have it. (havnt made the jump into rooting yet)

I was pretty ambivalent about froyo until I learned that it was on freakin' iphones already.

it seems to me that every one is getting the update ,,,but sprint, i think they are holding back, the 2.2 update for a new pad that is coming out,
i am running the leaked 2.2.1, it works good , just a little laggy, on the home screen,
i installed this on epic 4 g
the down load speed is just a little better
the battery life is a lot better
every thing seems to work
it is very sable
i would say it is a good flash
Let's face it once google announced the ics as the next version of android why do some people still want gb when ics can be leaked and used on our phones. Google needs to be the one doing the updates not the carriers and phone makers. Google should open a beta and prebeta builds to all who want them.

For someone who's been around since the 70's you seem to not understand the development life cycle of a product to be expecting such an asinine thing to happen.
Using win7 (retail) to win8 (alpha) argument proves your failure to grasp that.
BTW, i love how decad3nce pwned your last post. LOL

Because to us Gingerbread is the most important release ever! Gingerbread was made with Hummingbird in mind..ICS is a huge improvement for dual core phones..while we definitely get some new features, you would not notice such huge performance increases as you do with Gingerbread.
Locked. OP, check your pm's.

This issue can't get enough attention IMO. We shouldn't have to buy a Nexus device or hack our devices down to the lowest level just to avoid CIQ. It needs to be exposed for all it is. I'm glad to see more coverage on this.
