You should check out some of the custom ROM's. I have a battery life of 48 hours with leedroid 2.2.2 and his latest custom Kernel.
Any one thinking about fit the HTC sensation Rom to the DHD ? It have the new lockscreen nice one

There is a huge thread in the development section where the devs are working on a port http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1036446 and there have already been quite a few threads about the same thing that you ask.

The Rom is from sensation that has a higher resolution screen, hence its doesn't fit. If you read the thread even just the 1st post, you would know this.

We are talking about the Sensation ROM and it doesn't fit the DHD screen because the resolution of the HTC Sensation is greater. (960×540 versus 800x480)
