No you can't.

Just thinking of buying or HD2 or HTC Desire HD
What do you think is better (in terms of productivity and openness of the system)?

lol, chompin' at the bit. Can't say i blame him.
Windows 7 is a desktop OS. There is no way to install it on a phone.
Pretty sure we can install desktop Linux on our HD2s.
Althought it's highly doubtful that Windows 7 would actually ever make it, due to different architectures in processor design. And a lack of internal flash.
lol gonna be a wahile till its out probably!

They have windows 7 home premium running on tablet pcs with 1ghz cpu and the same ram. Why couldn't it run on hd2?
Because Windows 7 doesn't support ARM processors.

[Q] Dualboot: Windows Mobile & Android On Xperia X8

Sorry my ignorance, but is that possible to install both of the OS on a Xperia x8?
If it so, I would like to know how..
Thanks
(Sorry if my english isn't right, I'm portuguese.. xP)
At the moment impossible (I guess bootloader has to be cracked for that)
and the requirements for WP7 are higher. (For example at least 5MP camera...)

No, it is impossible to do on an android-based phone. You could try running ubuntu though, I'm sure there's a thread for that somewhere, not for the x8 specifically but you can attempt to do it on your phone, won't brick it or anything..

Pointless how? It'd be fun to try getting it working.
Froyo would be more fun
Only advantage from installing windows for me would be Automapa. Its a very good polish gps navigation software. Other than that I don't like windows mobile.

Unlock

Anyone have any idea if there is a way to unlock the wildfire through anyway other than paying someone to do it as im clueless
Thanks in advance

All radio unlocks are either code or hardware based AFAK.
Nothing free.
Just unlocked my tesco mobile (o2) wildfire in the uk.
Used this company as suggested on here - MobileUnlocked.co.uk
Cost me £21.99 but the code arrived within 20mins and all working fine now on my 3 network sim.
I spent 2 hours searching the net for free codes without success - it's much easier to just pay the money, at least they have a money-back guarantee.

I am a little curious why there is tools to unlock desire and desire hd, and wildfire is still impossible?
Is it because it is not as popular? so no one can be asked to develop the tool?
Or something to do with its software design?

Completely different CPU architecture, and lack of interest.
I see, I would think so too.
But I thought the wildfire is pretty popular too, but I guess it isn't compare to desire HD.

Think about it; every member of the Desire family was at one point top of the device kingdom; this would attract enthusiasts and hackers. The Wildfire was released as a budget device; why would someone put in so much effort when they could just get a better device?

Because the device fit better in the pocket.
That is the reason I bought the Wildfire
But I do agree that the Desire is a better device.

OR you could just have said it's impossible because of the closed source nature of WP and let it be politely locked or left

Might be Windows 8 will support it.
Sammy prepared phone win Win 8.
If exist driver for Exinos platform in Win8 - it is POSSIBLE to write loader to load windows, why not?
See HTC HD2 as example - it can run as Android so Windows Phone as well

You sad it about Omnia, i am speaking about HTC HD2 - can not see connection
I am saying, HTC HD2 was build as Windows Mobile.
One great person (from Russia BTW) - hack boot loader, made OWN loader - MagLDR - that can load Android or Windows Phone 7.
So it is POSSIBLE to somehow run WP on phones, not designed for it.
Though writing such a complicate code, and in such a dangerous place as bootloader (may kill phone forever) very, VERY hard task

Well ATIV line of product is pretty much the WP8 cousin of Galaxy line. If you look closely, Galaxy ATIV is S3 hardware with WP8 installed and some minor changes.
Why? Just look at the upcoming windows phone 8 devices.

Everything is possible with proper sources (bootloader and drivers). Without them not possible.
Why would you want to offend your SGS3 by putting Windows Phone on it? Why not try putting iOS there while you're at it?!

That's just silly.
But for those saying that WP8 can be run on the SGS3, I'm afraid you're mistaken. The i9300 uses a Samsung Exynos Quadcore while the ATIV S will use a Qualcomm Snapdragon Dual-Care. There will most likely never be a Windows Phone 8 device with the same SoC found in the international SGS3.
The US versions could have more luck as they indeed do have the same CPU as the ATIV S and thus that a much better chance of getting drivers that work for them also.
