Yo, my jade is still up and running, despite all the flashing of new roms in the past. I still use it sometimes instead of the desire. It really is a fantastic phone and speedy. Touch response is amazing. The best rom is Megade 1.7.5. Try it.

There is a huge thread in the development section where the devs are working on a port http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1036446 and there have already been quite a few threads about the same thing that you ask.

The Rom is from sensation that has a higher resolution screen, hence its doesn't fit. If you read the thread even just the 1st post, you would know this.

We are talking about the Sensation ROM and it doesn't fit the DHD screen because the resolution of the HTC Sensation is greater. (960×540 versus 800x480)

[ROM] ICS Sense 4.0 aka Alpha Goldfish

Hi community, I have been here on xda for a while, but just reasently got my self the HTC Inspire 4G.
What this is all about though that I will start to build or at least attempt to build the 4.0 Sense ROM for the Inspire and the Desire HD.
Help is always accepted just pm I will try to respond as soon as possible.

What ROM are you basing yours off of? Or are you basing this off the RUU? I have a Sense 4.0 I'm working on, from a base whom I got permission from. What all do you have done?

That wifi fix was referring to the one he posted for Sense 3.6 ICS. Not this one.

A different sense version wont make it any easier to fix wifi, its still ICS

You're right. ICS is ICS. I PM'd him to collaborate, because I have a port I'm working on, and its fairly close to a TEST release.

First of it has a install problem for some reason so I have been using it in Bootmanager. So defenaty need to look in to it.

Just finishing up getting it past boot, so that anyone willing cam give me a logcat to help. Very close actually.

OK so I just spoke to Rabim, and no, he doesn't have the ROM ready. It wouldn't boot because he's using the wrong kernel, and since there is no kernel for Sense 4, he used the one for AOSP which caused a lot of different issues.
HOWEVER, the guy is new to this, and he just wants to learn as much as he can, so if you're going to flame and write retarded comments about this, please hit yourself in the head with a sharp object first. If you guys have ideas and want to support him, I've messaged andy to move this thread to general section, and there you can share your ideas with Rabim and help him develop the ROM. He's using the recent nexus port of Endeavor.
EDIT: I would offer my help, but I have no time at all atm.

Ok, here we have the OP, who want's to learn & give something to the Desire HD community.
What happens next....
1. The whole community gets behind him/her and provides necessary guidance & advice to achieve the overall goal?
2. Some users take it upon themselves to "nay-say" and just bring the thread down before it's even started?
We want the answer to be 1.
Yet here we are again, and we have 2.
Please guys, don't push away those who want to give something back to the community.

If its just about having a nice dual core, why not HTC One S =) and yeah, why not a Nexus 4!

If you still have the N1, you can always use it for experimenting right? It doesn't have to be g'bye
