Hello,
I have an hd2 US 1024 rom version with the newest imei 35777.... I had a later version of Typhoon mod installed on my phone and installed the newest version and now my google account keeps connecting and disconnecting.
I'm not a complete noob, but I don't want to brick this phone so I'd rather ask and be safe.
What do I have to wipe out via recovery to get this issue to stop and should I reinstall the latest Radio again?
Thanks to who ever answers me without picking on me.
per hyperdroid's instructions:
1- Boot into MAGLDR (Power On and HOLD the Power Button till MAGLDR options are shown)
2- Boot into AD SD or AD Recovery to enter CWM Recovery Mode
If coming from another ROM, do a Nandroid Backup (just to be sure)
3- Wipe data
4- Wipe cache
5- Wipe Dalvik Cache
6- Go to mounts and storage and mount sdcard
7- Copy the ZIP you downloaded to your sdcard and unmount
8- Select install zip from sdcard
9- Find the .zip and install
10- Reboot and remove Phone from USB
(i put the rom on the sd card before all that and skip steps 6 and 7)
also, to be hardcore (i did this once when things were freaking out...) flash toWM and wipe your sd card.
but steps 3-5 are most important.
cheers.
I used the thank you button.
Actually I spoke to soon. That didn't work. I had to follow these instructions.
Clean Install:
1. Task 29
2. Flash Radio(2.15 Recommended)
3. MAGLDR 1.13
4. ClockworkMod Recovery v1.3 135M System/44M Cache/Recovery v3.0.1.4
5. Install TyphooN CyanogenMod 7 .zip with CWM
6. (Optional) Install any optional CWM .zip files
I still appreciate the help though none the less.
my apologies, i misread - didn't see you wanted to reflash the radio. once you task 29, you definitely are starting from the beginning!
glad it is working.
No problem, it just kept having issues with google where it was signing in and out for some reason until they " Google " finally blocked it to stop it from bouncing. Then it would throw an error talking about having issues signing in to my Google account.
I actually had to low level format my sd card as well. I went to copy over the newest typhoon rom file to it after doing a quick format on the sd card, and it would stop the file transfer about 3/4s of the way through every time even after redownloading it etc. etc..
I did the low level format. That took about an hour or more. Moved the ROM file right over without a hitch after that. It must have had chunks of files showing still from to many quick formats on the sd card.
Then I started completely over again from step one and now my battery seems to be lasting allot longer and the issue with Google signing in has stopped.
same here; better performance with a clean slate.
ghosts in the hardware or some such thing. enjoy!

Hi
I'm already install the Nexus android Nand on my HD2 T-Mobile using te special version of CWM 3.0.0.3
Now I need to try the Hyberdoid GBX, should I remove the 3.0.0.3 (and how??) to use the 150M version (V 1.3 I think) or I can use the CMW 3.0.0.3 to install the HyberdroidGBX
Thanks any way guys, U inspired me a lot
Call me stupid, but if it was me i'd:
1: Ask in the actual thread of the build
2: Follow the instructions how to install that build, written by the developer
or am i just stupid??
anyways.......step by step....just follow what dev has recomended.
Dunno bout you, but if an expert like the Dev has put a build together and he recomends..."install this"....."flash that" etc etc etc...then prob in best interests to do how he explains and install what he says is needed.

ur not of course
I cant ask in the actual thread of the build because I'm new member (less than 10 posts) and the nand development section restricted for me
this is the link of the build I already installed (I'm not even able to quote)
u notice that he said under installation :

CWM (ClockworkMod) Recovery Version via SD card (Flash update.zip)
Installing the CWM_Recovery_for_NexusHD2 (135MB system and 2MB cache) to create a space-efficient NAND partition layout (via flash.cfg) designed specifically for NexusHD2 series is highly recommended if coming from another ROM.
now I'm going to install This Build
I'm asking if there is a problem if I use the same version of CWM or NOT
Thanks for help
Hi i have htc hd 2 that is rooted and has

Number

And i want to change the rom with the most recent easy...and simple..(i have rom manager not the paid)
I dont know wich rom to put and how...can someone please tell me and help me???
Simple please because i dont know much...if it possible to copy the file at sd and just press the sd install from the recovery ...
Do you have the cLK bootloader installed? If you don't, you can't use ROM manager properly on the HD2.
However, I'd suggest downloading the ROM you want from the browser, booting the HD2 into MAGDLR--> recovery, and installing from there. [ That is assuming you using MADGLR, which I'm assuming you are].

Copy the rom you want to your sd card (download after which bootloader you are using)
Wipe data/cache/dalvik from cwm and install rom.
and how do i know wich bootloader i use?And if you be kind could you tell me by a link wich rom is mach to my phone without problems?
When you boot up your phone, do you see a cmd-like screen showing some text after the htc screen? If so, you are using MAGLDR. Otherwise, cLK.
yes there is one...like some comand are runing and writes "ok" "done" and after that is the android logo..
so
wich rom is the best fit to hd2 and how to i put it in?
Is this the way? "Wipe data/cache/dalvik from cwm and install rom" and if so the file with the rom i put it on sd card root?or in a folder?
Sorry for the lot of guestions..

The best ROM depends on what you like. I'd suggest using Tytung's NexusHD2. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1434860
So, to install this ROM, you need to-
1. download the ROM and put it on your SD card. Just download it from your PC and drag it onto the SD card root, not in a folder. [it doesn't matter that much, but it's easier to just have it there instead of in a folder].
2. Boot into MAGDLR. Do this by holding the volume DOWN button and end call button at the same time while booting the phone.
3. In MAGDLR, scroll down into AD Recovery. From there, wipe data/factory reset, then install the .zip from SD card. Reboot your phone and enjoy the new ROM.

Yes this is mostly right but:
1. Use the app Titanium Backup to create a backup of all your apps and data on your SD card
2. To boot into MAGLDR hold down the power button, not volume down
3. Before wiping data I would recommend creating a full backup of your ROM in CWM, just in case
Also, you may need to repartition your NAND if necessary. Look in the first few posts of any ROM you decide to flash, it will at some point tell you what size 'system partition' you will need to create. If this partition size is less than or the same as 150Mb, you don't need to change anything. If, however, it is larger than 150Mb do the following:
1. Download and install the NAND Toolkit
2. Boot into MAGLDR menu then select 5. USB Flasher
3. Select 'MAGLDR repartition' in the toolkit
4. Select the correct partition size from the options given in the toolkit
5. Repartition
6. Flash your ROM (as a .zip) in CWM
7. Reboot, then reboot another few times just to be safe
8. (Optional) Restore your apps by downloading Titanuim backup, then pressing menu>batch>restore all missing apps and data.
Hope this helps

bootloader> task29> rum windows mobile
That simple
[/COLOR]Erm, why would you need to do any of it again? You unzipped the rom,,, so what? Delete what you unzipped, get the zip again, put it on SD without unzipping, start phone with power held --> magldr option 8 ad recovery --> starts cwm, from there choose 'wipe data factory reset' just to be sure the partitions are clean (i(f you are gonna make an sd ext partitiom now would be the time))then 'install zip from sd ' job done.
I would have to agree with samsamuel. there is no need nor would "bootloader> task29> rum windows mobile" fix your issue. You only need to delete the unzipped version off your SD card and replace it with the zipped version. Then follow the instructions where you left off at.
[Q] HELP ME! I dont know how to uninstall MAGLDR
[A].. to uninstall magldr is to do:
1 task 29 (wipe all data and NAND)
.. to install Android on your HD2 you must do this:
1. Power on hd2 pressing vol down (three color display) and attach USB cable
2. Flash MAGLDR113 (phone is restarted and booted in magldr menu)
3. In menu with vol key select USB Flasher confirm key is green
4. Flash MAGLDR CWR 5.0.2.6 (partition size depends of the rom you are flashing)
5. Wait for magl menu and select AD Recovery (8) then select:
-mounts and storage
-mount USB storage and copy zip file from comp to sd card,go back (unmount) pres key arrow to go back to
-based recovery and select
-install zip from sdcard
Wait to ends, boot and you have android installed on your HD2!!!!
I'm kind of lost why you want to uninstall MAGLDR. If you want your phone to be stock windows mobile download your official stock rom. Extract it to get the nbh file. Rename that nbh to LEOIMG.nbh. Copy it to your SDcard, and flash in bootload mode. This should reverse you back to stock. I would do a search for help 1st. There are many threads already about how to flash back to stock.
What you only need to do is give a little clearer instructions on what your problem is, where your stuck at and what your trying to do.
okay so i have rooted my p700, installed CWM, and flashed cm10... after that i rebooted my phone (i needed to in order to get link2sd to recognize my external sd), after that the CM went into a bootloop!! which got me very angry (considering it came at a very bad time)... so i reflashed it a number of times even tried older builds...still all i get is a hot processor and a bootloop....i have gone through so many forums, scavenged the whole internet for methods on fixing it but still no luck...anybody have anyway of fixing this? and one more thing after i formated my sd (trying to make partitions for link2sd i lost my backup )
try download latest CM10 and reflash it . Make sure follow the steps correctly
How to Install::
Download the ROM
Put it on your phone root
Reboot In Recovery(MAKE A BACKUP BEFORE DOING ANYTHING!)
Wipe Data/Cache,Wipe Cache,Wipe Dalvik Cache(Which you can find in Advanced)
Select Install ZIP from SDCard
Select the ROM and let it install, then also Install GAPPS.

i have one mytouch 4g with s-off and android 2.2.1 with root and CWM recovery.
i want to install ICS on this but not sure how to proceed as i am really confused by reading all threads . so DEVs kindly help me to install ICS step by step.
thanks
Put a ICS rom onto your sd card. Then flash it.
Broken down version:
1) download an ICS ROM zip file (I recommend SteppNasty Aospx - link in the 'resource bible')
2) put that zip file (don't extract) on the root of your sd card (i.e. not in any folders)
3) reboot your phone into recovery (either adb reboot recovery or power off > battery pull > battery insert > hold volume down button + power > select 'recovery', press power button
4) using CWM recovery, do a factory reset/wipe data, then I think under advanced select 'wipe cache' and 'wipe dalvik' (I don't have CWM anymore). If you like, you can also wipe battery stats, but I'm not sure it does anything.
5) select 'install from zip', and choose your ROM zip file
6) either flash a gapps (google apps) zip file if the ROM thread says it needs it, or reboot if it already includes google apps (most don't). Sometimes (like I think with Stepp Aospx), its actually better to reboot after flashing the rom, then go back to recovery and wipe dalvik & cache and flash gapps after getting through an initial boot. Most rom threads will have a link to the gapps they recommend for their rom. You just need one that matches the android version (i.e ICS gapps for ICS roms)
That's the usual method. Most ROM threads will have instructions on them. Seems like a lot of steps, but it usually only takes a couple of minutes.
