http://romkitchen.org/sgs/?s=generator
might even be the Android loading animation here .

the probles is: I do not want a new boot animation! instead I want to have NO ANIMATION at all!
I just want to see kernel messages like debian linux

root your phone and download sgs toolbox from market. In this app, you can remove, silence or change boot animation

Really? Where are the remove/change options? I see only "modify boot sound/shutdown sound".

Boot animation files are in .
system /Media /
Delete Boot Animation Zip
Delete Boot Samsung.qmg
Delete Boot Samsungloop.qmg
Does no boot animation = kernel messages on Android .
jje
@jje: tanx
but removing that files results in blank boot screen, no kernel message displayed.

That looks interesting... but the youtube clip stalls halfway through on my machine. Other youtube stuff seems to work OK.

It's a "fake", it's not the real kernel messages like mf_417 wants, it's only a video. And you're right, it's one of the animations proposed by the romkitchen. (BIOS #2 Boot Animation)
I havn't seen yet anything which allows to display kernel messages on boot.

Is it possible to disable the XDA Developers screen that appears after the SE logo, and right before the bootanimation? It really slows down the boot...
(I have already disabled the bootanimation by adding a code to build.prop)
Sent from my X10i
I think u are using free kernel
U must unlock bootloader and flash doomkernel v06 then u won't have se white logo screen and u will only have the kernel logo
That's not what I want.
I'm talking about the screen saying "XDA Developers" that appears after the SE logo and before the bootanimation.
And I'm actually using Doomlord's kernel (locked bootloader). I just used the "XDA Developers" screen as an example since it's probably more known than the "Xperia" screen from Doomlord's kernel.

Not possible as far I know.
Why it's not possible? I think it's possible, by unpacking the ramdisk from boot.img & delete the logo & repacking it

lol I accidentally hit the thanks button for you
well yeah I'm pretty sure it's doable with Azuz's tools in windows, You should take the boot.img for the custom kernel, unpack the ramdisk, delete the .rle logo file & repack it again

What i think is the .rle is shown at the time custom kernel is being loaded and being booted up
So deleting the .rle would show black screen?and then phone will boot up?not sure...

the working part is only bootanim and samsungani..you can delete the others. It will be better if you edit the updater script since the original one might messed up your system. Sadly, thats not enough to make your bootanimation work. You have to make sure that you have correct setting for desc.txt in the bootanimation zip file. If you could tell me the content of that file i might could help you.

Copy your framework-res.apk and upload it to the uot.dakra.it/kitchen . The website provides 6 types of animations including Bounce. After you have submitted your work, they will provide you flashable zips.
And if you mean an app that can change animations, no app can do it (for now).

I have the same question here. And looking at the number of views, it would seem there are others who would like to know too.
Go here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=31833122&postcount=4 and you can change the bootanimation! Though it can interfere with Xposed.

Hi, you could also check this thread, it doesn't change the shutdown service logo/animation though but gives a much better boot animation and will remove server provider animation for boot. Don't forget to thank the original poster
