hello all,i am having a problem with wmdc on my pc running windows7 64 bit system, flashed dft wp7 the other night and activesync was working and my phone connecteto pc but since i flashed wp7 wmdc won't load and it keeps saying content not supported...please help.
You need Zune for WP7, not WMDC.
my phone automatically loads zune when i connect to computer and it says phone update available and goes thru the process but gives me and error that it didn't update.how can i get it to flash another wp7 rom?
Update doesn't work for HD2. To flash another ROM: boot into Magldr, select USB-Flash and flash the other ROM...
For detailed instructions use the search, this has been asked 1000 times before...
thanks,i have another rom downloade to my pc but it won't flash??????
Try to flash a stock ROM via the sdcard-method, this wipes magldr and WP7. Then try to flash your newly downloaded ROM again
thanks, will look up how to try that.

Hi, I have installed HSPL and attempted to load android on my HD2 Leo phone with the latest version. Once to Flashed the ROM my phone booted to a very basic Windows Mobile Energy O/S which keeps trying to boot to android. Once it starts booting android I just get a blank screen and everything freezes.
I am trying to restore my original O/S but even when I do a hard reset it still loads up Windows Energy. If I try and flash my original Windows Mobile ROM HSPL loads on the screen but it gives me a USB error connections.
So basically, Im stuck with this basic Windows Mobile Energy. Can anyone help (step-by-step if possible) with how I can restore the original Windows Mobile ROM onto my HD2 Leo. This problem is really stressing me out!!!
Thank you so much!
You should really make sure you know what your doing before you do it.
Ok, first check on your bootloader screen to make sure your device has hspl installed correctly.
download the normal windows mobile rom for your device, put your device in bootloader mode and connect it to the pc using the usb cable.
Run the ruu program.
When I load up the HSPL screen and connect through USB it just gives me a USB connection error. That's part of the problem
I am getting the same error too..Did any find got a solution for this????/
flash rom from SD card be easier if ur having USB problems,
yes try flashing the phone from the micro sd card but you need to use a smaller size card like a 1GB or so. enter bootloader and the flash will automatically start.
have you tried a hard reset?
You can find the method in here!

First post, how to uninstall
Its very easy!
I installed HSPL3 and that went fine and then tried to install magldr 1.13 and it went to 100 percent right away and then when it rebooted on the first screen was a sd kernal error and then it went to the boot screen and when I do usb flasher it gives me usb..usb... then nothing and when take battery out and reboot same thing happens? I have a t-mobile htc hd2
it's supposed to give you "usb.. usb" when you connect your phone to your computer.
With that message it's saying you can go ahead and flash an android build to your phone's NAND/Rom/internal storage. So all you need to do is flash your phone with the DAF.exe that came with the build you downloaded. If you use windows 7 or vista, you need to run DAF.exe as an administrator.
Please read next time... This sort of question doesn't even need a thread.

or flash cwm 1.3 and use cwm to flash a zip rom
Thanks for the info, I am a newby to this, works great, Android is much better than windows 6.5.
Hi,
I have HD2 with Android installed. But I don't know how to upgrade to new version of Android (cannot establish ActiveSync connection). Any kind of help will be appreciated !
if you use CWM, you can use CWM to format the internal flash and install new android via CWM.
i don't have CWM, sorry.
What else can I do ?

hi,
You must have activesync on your XP computer or the latest WMDC software drivers on your windows 7 PC in order for the USB to establish a connection.

Hi, I don't have Win Mobile 6.5 on HD2 so it is impossible to establish ActiveSync connection. I have *Android* on HD2, and cannot upgrade it because I don't have CWM.
So, what can I do ? I probably need to isntall WinMobile again don't I ?

Hi,
No ,you do not need to re-install WM 6.5
How did you get android on your phone?
You must have CWM to install ANDROID.
What computer operating system have you got?
What android ROM are you running?
What ROM do you want to upgrade to?
If you havr activeSync (WMDC) then it has the drivers to see the hd2.. all you have to do is get a CWM android rom and CWM recovery, restart go into MAGLDR and go to usb flasher then run the cwmrecovery exe to flash it dan restart and go into recovery and install the rom zip.. if its the Clk(native android bootloader) download a rom for that an you must have android sdk to use fastboot and flash that rom...
Which bootloader do you have?
Sent from my HTC HD2 using XDA App
There's an answer, bro

One other thing...underneath it all, the HD2 is a Windows phone, with a serious hack to make it possible to run many other systems. So, from the SPL (hold Volume Down key and press the Power button) you will always boot into the SPL -- you have the H (hard) flavor of SPL or you couldn't have put Android on the phone.
In the SPL, you can always communicate with your phone using ActiveSync (on Windows XP) or Windows Mobile Device Center (WMDC) from Vista or Win 7.
If this doesn't make sense, feel free to PM me with info like what ROM you are currently using, etc.
yrs,
dkephart
Normally if you have MAGLDR you can boot into that by holding down the start button until the MGLDR menu appears and toggle down to option 5 USB Flasher.
(If you had Clock Work Mod then you would choose option 8 to get into AD recovery to flash the ROM from your SD.)
Then you just run the DAF.exe as the administrator of the DAF ROM you have downloaded and it will load onto your NAND.
Don't fear if you cannot get into your android bootloader then you can make a USB connection by connecting your phone to your PC and restarting your phone while holding down the down volume key which will take you to your tri colored boot-loader screen, while you are there check that you have HSPL 2.08, then down the bottom you should see USB which means you now have an active connection with your PC.
Just follow the below instruction on how to upgrade an existing ROM using MGLDR
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=893948
You need to have HSPL 2.08, Radio that supports 576 RAM and MAGLDR 1.13
If you want to learn how to run one via CWM and your SD there is a link in the above link explaining how that works.
have android 4.0 on HD2 and it sucks bad..
how do I restore back to original OS windows 6.5
1. Download any WM 6.5 ROM for your phone you like,
2. power off your phone,
3. power it on while holding vol-down button (you should see 4-colour "matress"),
4. connect hd2 with usb cable to your desktop PC, run WM6.5 flasher.
5. Done... ))
i do that but the flasher says this after it recognize the phone and start flashing it stops and says this error{226} the update utility cannot get response from your PDA phone. please check that your ubs craddle/cable is connected properly between the pc and your pda phone and also check your pda phone.

For custom rom. try this.

I flash my hd2 using energy rom dinik. with radio 2.12.50.02_2.
So far I have not encountered any bug like freezing of lcd.
Thanks NRGZ28 for the rom and PG101 for the detailed instructions to install custom rom to my phone.
Yeh I would recomend NRG wm6.5 roms too, best wm6.5.3 experience available & it works perfect.
Try flashing via sd & check you current HSPL & radio are suitable too ...
yeah im actually trying to flash a wm6 from NGR but then again this phone have nand android installed and when i try to flash the wm6 ruu the flasher stops at 0% and says that the phone its not connected, after it showed it did before i pressed next, do i need any kind of drivers?
i have ht drivers from my sensation are they the same? i am a total noob for this phone and i dont like the ics thats why i wanna go stock while i learn little by little how to do things with it.
Flash via SD card method is probably way to go but take care with radio versions if a TMOUS HD2 or you will brick it.
You could install ActiveSync if XP or WMDC6.1 for Vista/W7 as it has drivers.
you can do a factory reset which should fix the problem
Hi all,
Three weeks ago I decided to make a switch from wm 6.5 to wp7 (hd2o 1.25 rom), installed magdlr 1.13 and
flashed the rom without, any problems.
I really started to like WP7 so I decided to built my own rom based on the latest build 8773, rom building wasn't a big problem
so it was time to flash my own rom, but there it went wrong, everytime I wanna flash the rom I
received an connection error, so I thought I must have done something wrong when I built my rom, so I switched
back to HD2O 1.25 rom but unfortunly I'm receiving the same connection error.
So I decided to go back to wm 6.5 and flash the original rom and install magdlr again to see if that makes
any difference, but I also received a connection error when I was trying to flash the original rom.
The next option I could try was flashing through usb, so I renamed the ruu and copied leoimg.nbh on my sd-card
but the phone doesn't recognized the nbh file, I tried several sd-cards but still the same problem.
But I still have magdlr on my device so I decided to try wp7 again, but still no luck, but I noticed that when dwi
is searching for usb it can't find the phone so while dwi was searching I unplugged and plugged my phone to my computer,
this time wp7 was going to flash but unfortunally it stops by partition 0.
The last option I could give a try was to flash Android, but still a connection error, but when I unplugged and
plugged my phone while dwi was waiting for usb flasher, the rom started to flash, so now I'm having Android on my
phone, but that is not what I want.
I checked my sd-cards on Android and noticed that 2 cards aren't recognized anymore, but the others are still working.
I can try the HD2Toolkit but what worries me is that I can't flash wm 6.5 on sd.
So I'm hoping someone can guide me into the right direction,
Greetz,
try reinstall ActiveSync (if you have XP) or WMDC (Vista/Win7)
Thanks buddy, that solved the problem
Greetz,
