Loosing data connection when using GPS

Hi,
Since a few days, everytime i try to use GPS like in google maps, i loose the data connection (except wifi) but Edge, 3g or hsdpa disapear.
And the worst is that to get it back i need to reboot the phone. Switching the wifi off doesn't help.
When if is off, everything is working well.
I'm on cyanogem 5.0.6 but i'm using CM since a long time and never noticed it before (and at the begining there was no problem with 5.0.6)
If a watch the dmesg logs right after starting the gps and loosing the data connection i see a red message with : "qmi: wds: network start failed (000e)"
Anyone else experienced this problem ? Please tell me it's not an hardware problem and there is a software solution !
I am not sure if it is the GPS but I also experience the problem that I don't have a data connection anymore over EDGE or HSDPA. The icon is there in the notification bar but I can't connect anyway. Only a reboot brings back the connection .
help .. me too

I m kinda experiencing the same problem .. I would be using wi-fi, updating my apps thru the marketplace and at the end of the day when i need to use gprs to check my online frens, I can't.. the little gprs/edge logo just shows on my taskbar but I can't seem to access the net .. But amazingly it works fine after restarting my fone.. I don't want to restart everytime this happens as doin so will result in re-caching of my gallery most of the time( a bug I noticed) and it sucks when u have a huge collection of photos in almost 300 sorted folders ...
a little help here, anyone ?

Cyanogenmod: WiFi and 3G

Hi guys,
after having installed CyanogenMod 7 v. 2.6 I have got problems with WiFi and 3G connection. Sometimes it seems my phone disconnects with the internet. Actually, the widget shows that connections are enabled but the market or browser won´t load anymore and I get the message that I need to check the connection :S
In this case, the only thing that helps is to switch to flightmode for some seconds. Sometimes even this does not solve the problem and I have to restart my phone.
Hope, you guys can help me. Thanks.
I noticed another problem, that might have a relation to the first one i have described.
Sometimes when I like to connect my phone to the internet via 3G or WiFi (using the integrated widget) it does not connect at all. The status bar does not show the WiFi or 3G sign and browsing is not possible.
Damn guys I need your help

[ROM]LeeDrOiD HD V3.1.2 GB [KERNEL] V3.1.3 WIFI PROBLEM ?

Hi everyone i have the LeeDrOiD HD V3.1.2 GB Rom on my HTC DHD and my wifi keeps droping out ? why is this ? and how can i fix this thanks.
my advice would be ( and i am no expert )
keep up to date with the [ROM]LeeDrOiD HD V3.1.2 GB tread for info and fixes
you could back up all your apps and user data then do a clean wipe and re install to the new rom and kernel
Might help
info i am on same and mine is running fine..
Why create a thread if we (Users using Lee's ROM) already talking about that in the Lee's ROM Thread? Just go back to the Thread and Read!!! Everybody is talking about that and we will find the solution, for sure Lee will fix it, just give to him sometime.
Are you sure the connection drops or it's just the WiFi icon is showing zero bar?
If the problem is the latter: I disable my phone WiFi connection, reconnect and the problem is solved.
Yeah let's hope lee fixes it quick yes I'm up to date with the Rom yes it keeps droping out and I keep need to reconnect.
Same issue here wifi icon shows zero bar even are full wipe and clean install, no drop outs with connection though

Yeah I get drop outs sometimes even when I'm really close to the router ? And when Im in my bed room I get drop outs all the time I used to get drop outs very rare with an old Android Rom but still was good. Now its droping out every time BUT its funny as soon as I get the drop out I quickly go to settings, wireless and networks, WiFi networks and the phone can still see the connection ? 2 of 1 bars so I quickly connect to it and 1 min later after useing the internet it drops out agian, and I do the exact thing shown find the connection I connect and bang drops out again......it seems that it can't hold a constant connection ? It's not that it loses the signal because as soon as you get the drop out you go to connect again and the signal is there you don't have to wait for the phone to find it? Another thing that is funny is this.... When it drops out you go into WiFi settings and the phone can still see the connection to the router BUT the phone never attempts to connect to the router, it only connects if you click on it.

WiFi problem

Hi all,
I searched for a similar issue across the forum, but I didn't find any answer. I also posted a question on a main thread but I didn't receive any answer as well (I believe that the thread is being dispersive...)
I have a brand new Nexus 4, updated to 4.2.1 and not rooted. I have a problem with wifi. I can connect to whatever wifi AP. But the moment I go out of the wifi signal range and the phone switch to 3G connection for a period like 15-20 mins or more, than it isn't able to reconnect to any registered wifi APs nor they are visible in available listed wifi. To restore connection again, I have to switch off/on wifi. Otherwise it won't connect. Also the quick setting icon appear to be swithched off.
Any solution? Is it a known issue?
THX!

Battery page showing wi-fi on but it's off

hi,
This has been going on forever on 5.0 - does anyone know why the battery page shows the WIFI as active even though it's disconnected? Tends to happen if you forget the wifi on then lose connection to that particular network and then turn it off... it will still show as active with the bar going..
thanks,
gab
