I plugged in a external keyboard(IBM/Lenovo Travel keyboard w/ trackpoint and trackpad).
For the most part it worked. I found a few interesting things:
Home - goes to your main home screen( i was using Launcher Pro Plus)
End - locks and turns off screen
Certain Fn keys lock screen
Middle mouse/wheel click - brings up menu
right mouse click - its the "back" menu button
Anyone else try other devices?
Plugged in a Old Logitech Keyboard I Had, You Can Navigate Through Webpages With The Arrows, Tab In Some Cases Brings Up The Search Options, Long Pressing The Home Key Brings Up Recent Apps, And Using The Regular Keys For Writing Works As I Used My Keyboard For This Reply

Recently I am having problems with my phone, and am wondering if it is a software or hardware problem.
I have tried loading the TNT4 rom & WS5SE roms (this is a g4), and there is no change (im on the Tnt4 one now).
The touchscreen works okay, but the soft key buttons do not. The right bottom one is okay, the left one triggers the right one, the send button show the letters "uytga" on the phone screen when i press them, the end button shows "mn" or something, the camera button works perfect, the comm manager button is the same as the voice button (even when i map it with a program it says "button 4").
It even happens on the soft keys on the keyboard when i slide it out.
Also I used Start-sSPL to put the roms on. Is there a way I can get the OEM one back on or fix the button problem?
Any help will be appreciated.
Once you install CM10.1 on your Q, one vexing problem is how you get the power menu to show up.
I discovered that if I push the "hibernate" button (picture of a moon on it) on my Logitech wireless keyboard, that brings up the power menu. I have no idea what the usual keyboard equivalent would be (or even if there is one) if you don't have this key on your keyboard. However, it's certainly a useful thing to have.
I ended up just using a widget that adds shutdown / restart icons to my home screen. I wonder if I have a key combo I can pull up on my Rii i6 remote that will trigger that menu
I've been using Droidmote server (on the Q) and Droidmote client on my phone/tablet and it has a power button on the controller with arrows (page 2 in the client app). Droidmote has been working pretty well for me, but it has some minor issues that make it a little bit of a pain in the ass. It's still the most usable solution I've found yet.
I personally manage to get it from a Logitech keyboard, by pushing the "User" touch (left corner).
Other thing, how you restart the Q with CM 10.1 after shut it down? I haven't figured out yet so I always have to unplug/plug it..
Thanks!
I use Button Savior to bring up the power menu.
Sent from my CM10.1 NEXUS Q
I've got a 2012 Nexus 7. I've used it with a BT keyboard for quite some time. In the past I could press a button on the keyboard and the tablet screen would turn on and the lock screen would appear. I could then type my PIN on the BT keyboard, press enter, and the tablet would be unlocked. After the latest Kit Kat update this function no longer appears to work. I press the button on the BT keyboard and the tablet screen turns on and the lock screen appears, but I can't just type on the keyboard and have it register on the screen. I can press the arrow keys on the keyboard and move the highlight over the numbers, press enter on the highlighted number, then move to the next number, but that is ridiculous.
Also, it appears that this only happens when there are 2 times shown on the lock screen, the current local time and an additional locations time. If that additional location time is removed it works like normal.
Any thoughts or suggestions how to overcome this?
Have you found an answer for this yet?
I'm having the same problem :/
I don't now what's happened to my controller but when it's set in the mouse mode the pointer will always just scroll towards the top. I've tried to recalibrate it several times and nothing seems to work. Any suggestions? I'm about to pull my hair out!
Thanks!
Mine is the other way - constantly scrolling to the bottom. I take it as a signal my batteries need changing!

I've had the same problem. Please try the following:
Recalibrating the pad:
1. If the pad is on, press and hold the home button for 5 seconds until the pad powers down.
2. Press and hold all four face button (a, b, x, y) down at once, then power the pad on.
3. The Home LED will shine purple, when it does press the Select button on the pad.
4. The Home LED will blink purple. When it does, move both analogue sticks and both triggers through
their full range of movement four times.
5. Press the Start button and the pad will continue to pair to its host.
Worked for my C.T.R.L. R which was included to my M.O.J.O.!
Jan, that is a fantastic tip! I just assumed the batteries needed refreshing.
I presume by "select button" you mean the "back" button on the stock CTRLR? There is no select button on this pad.

Oh sorry, you are right. Its the "back" button.
Did this work for your gamepad, too?
I can certainly confirm it performed as you state. I haven't played a great deal but it does seem to work. Thanks so much, adding this to my list of handy hints!
On another note, do you know of any other controllers that are fully compatible with the MOJO? I've tried wired USB pads but they don't seem to be detected, certainly not by something like Retroarch. I like the CTRLR a great deal but I think I'd feel "safer" if I knew I could replace it easily if I need to in the long term. I have an official PS3 pad that would be nice to link up if possible. Any advice much appreciated.
Hi everyone, I'm using a mini wirless keyboard on a TCL android TV, the keyboard is one of those cheap that seems like a joypad with RGB retroillumination colors, I'm having a strange issue with the OK button, during a normal selection action it works well to give confirm command, but it cannot works as ENTER after texted something, also the ENTER button can't works as Enter command, so I must to keep enabled the virtual keyboard on the bottom of the screen and click on the virtual ENTER button to get the ENTER command... I've seen the same issue on this video at 7:00 minute, same keyboard as me..
is there a way to fix this? maybe it needs a driver? tnx bye
does anyone use anykind of keyboard with his android TV? does the ENTER button work porperly after texting something?
Logitech K400, same issue. Enter key won't act as it does on Windows
I'm going to get one, but still havent decided if I really need it and which one.
Connect your phone to the same Wi-Fi as your Android TV device, open the app, and choose "Accept & Continue." Select your television or set-top box from the list and enter the PIN which appears on your TV. On Android smartphones, whenever you select a text field, the keyboard will automatically appear. If you want to reset the wireless keyboard, follow the below mentioned steps-
Turn off your keyboard.
With the keyboard turned off, hold down the ESC key.
While holding down the ESC key, turn on your keyboard.
After about 5 seconds, release the ESC key. You will see the keyboard lighting flash if the reset is successful.
